My Sovereign Class ship that I primarily use in STO has two main loadouts I use: the first is four disrupter beam arrays with four level appropriate Quantum Torpedoes, the second is one omnidirectional antiproton beam array and three level appropriate antiproton beam arrays then a mix of the two specialty Transphasic torpedoes and regular Transphasic torpedoes (the first is for standard combat against most enemies while the other is for Borg and other vulnerable species).
Let me tell you what you did wrong with this video: NOTHING! All kidding aside, you did a great job of being efficient with sharing the information, great format of outlining the subject up front and summarizing at the end as well as the meat in the middle. (Many years ago, one of my teachers summed it up like this: "Tell 'em what you're gonna tell 'em, tell 'em, then tell 'em what you told 'em." You nailed it!) Also, terrific parallel structure for each torp type. (Overview at the beginning, how to get it at the end...) Thanks for doing these. You stand out among many of the video providers for STO. I'm in!
FYI, Neutronic is a quantum torpedo, and is enhanced by quantum tac consoles. The TS firing mode does more radiation damage than the HY firing mode, and the drain application behaves slightly differently. The Enhanced Bio-Molecular torpedo fires a fast, non-destructible projectile when using HY, and has a 2km AoE upon target impact (regardless of whether the target is alive or not upon arrival). PEP (Particle Emission Plasma) under HY behaves like a HY Grav and Omega. You may also want to expand a bit on its special AoE cloud that halts all movement and does plasma damage that is boosted by Particle Generators. This is in addition to its (small) kinetic damage and standard plasma dot to the main target (NOT boosted by PGens).
Well that kinda helps me to a degree. I was using neutronic torpedo, until i got a quantum catalyst torp through the mission. Now that I know that neutronic is plasma based, I think I will return to using it. I primarily use plasma weapons, well the corrosion plasma beams as well as the full romulan set. But the rest of my gear is delta alliance, except the shield is fleet. I use a fleet avenger T-5U.
On my Odyssey tact cruiser I have for torps on the back is the romulan hyper plasma and the Enhance Bio Torp so that enemies that I have past at medium range get hit for massive damage and on the front I have the Omega torp launcher and the Gravimetric torp launcher and often use high yeild or cluster top skills on them. He failed the mention that the plasma energy ball when it hits not only does massive damage but if the enemy is killed shortly after will disintegrate and no warp core explosion will happen in some cases. for beams I have the experimental proton weapon dual beam protonic polaron and on the back 2 protonic polaron beams and the dyson console and warp core and for shields, engines and deflector I have the Ageis set, before the revamp of the R&D system but soon will have the level to build them and various tact consoles that enhance polaron and proton weapons and I think one for plasma projectiles and science I have various consoles that increase shield regen and capacity and engineering consoles that give resistance to just about all types of energy and one that lowers the chances of knocked out or dead crew. It is pretty much a tank that also deals good damage, what NPCs that kill most players won't kill me excerpt that weird blast that donatra's ship does no one survives that strike.

Also radiation cloud has 4km radius making it nice for situations when there is a gravity well thrown :)
ikr, LOVE my neutronic torp. in a group i stick to the science ship (if there is one) like glue waiting for a gravity well, then, purple nurples all round :D
ps, love the name. i was going to call this account infectious grooves but changed it last minute. nice to see metallicas last outing was pretty good, when you play with rob you git gud or you git gorn.
i mostly use the hargh'peng torpedo as a secondary torp as it tends to fire right after the primary torp though this i think works best in early leveling more experimenting is required to see if this can be used in some way at max level.

Which plasma torpedo when you send a charged torpedo other plasma torpedoes (like from The Borg) it follows the torpedo? For example in Borg Invasion: Red Alert, against the large Unimatrix 0047 Command Ship (over 8500 meters in length)

Question: I have the Bio-Neural Warhead but am not able to fire it regardless of how far or close I am from the target. I can use other torpedoes and such but not the warhead. What am I doing wrong?
I'm honestly not sure. The Bio-Neural warhead can't be fired from too close, but as long as you're about 3Km away from your target, and the enemy is within your firing-arc, everything should be fine. Sorry I can't help further. :/
if you're playing on ps4, i have the same problem. i've been told it's glitched, so mine is sitting in the bank waiting on a fix by cryptic. might be a while, the console glitches just tend to switch around. they fix 3, 4 more will crop up, i guess it's low on the list, rightly so.
You can also get the Thermionic Torpedo on the Tarantula Dreadnought. Another thing I need people to play STO with so if any wants to add me on steam at Capn Pants.
There are torpedoes of the same names which you have already mentioned off in Mark XIV. Personally I don't know how the hell you can get something like that, but I have seen those mark types from a different youtube user who does play the game online.
Mk XIII & XIV are obtainable from upgrading gear, be it consoles, torpedoes, beams, shields, etc. If you right-click most items you can upgrade them using the appropriate upgrade tech, which you can get from either the exchange, or by crafting it.
It is a bit confusing to use at times. The top is the search bar where you can type what you want to search for, or drag-and-drop an item up there to auto-complete it. The side panels are item categories and sub-categories that can help define your search more. When you push search, by default it will search all categories. The top side-panel you can also use to define what rarity of an item you're looking for. When you find what you want, you can double-click the listing to buy it. Kind of an overall description, but hope that helps some. :)

One of the most infuriating things is when people mispronounce Temporal or Scimitar... It is not Skimitar or Skimi, it is in every sense of the pronunciation and the only accepted pronunciation Sc(as in Science)-mi-tar. It's also not Temp-oral. It's Tem-poral, the accent is not on the "o", but rather on the "a", or just speed up how you say Temp-oral a bit.

My personal favorite are the kelvin timeline photon torpedoes. Their reload time is further reduced by 2 seconds giving them a 4 second reload time.

Pretty sure that photon torpedoes have a 6-second recharge speed. Because they have higher overall dps than quantum torpedoes.

chronitons should go through sheilds like the show they should be uber op but uber hard to get.

Omega Plasma Torpedo also targets more enemies with Torpedo Spread per tier. at Torpedo Spread III it's ten total targets.
