      @@williamglenn5233 hello it worked out fine. i did these exercises and it really helped my shoulder, there is no pain now. But i found out that the cause of my shoulder problems is with my training split. I did ppl and during my push days i trained my chest and shoulders which put too much strain on the shoulders. So i switched up my program a bit where i do chest and shoulders on separate days to lessen the strain on the shoulders.

    I do this followed by the broomstick stretch and it def helps me to get into position for squats. Takes a lot of practice but its totally worth it! BTW if the joint pops and cracks but theres no pain then don't worry. My physio says its just the tendons snapping in place, like an elastic band :')

    • @chadsmith9134
      @chadsmith9134 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Candace Lin seems like theres adhesions or postural distortions for why the shoulder would pop and crack. The body should be fluid no? That snapping back and forth must be causing some trauma. Maybe your physio just doesnt know how to address that so instead he says dont worry

    I think it would be healthier for everyone if you added that range of motion will be different based on your acromion process type. A healthy shoulder with a stage 3 or 4 acromion process will move differently than a healthy shoulder with a stage 1 or 2.

    • @Adrien_broner
      @Adrien_broner ปีที่แล้ว

      @@garagegymbros2198 I think your advice would go a long way here. I can’t even get a barbell behind my head anymore to squat without being in extreme pain. I want to know if you rotate your hands until the back of your palm is facing out like the physiotherapist in this video or if you only rotate enough to keep your palm sideways like the weightlifter in this video?
      They both are doing it differently. When I turn my palm all the way around like the physio does it is painful. I’d like to know if you are doing it the same and if it helps or not. Thanks buddy. I appreciate it.

      @chrisroper5698 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is my understanding: Generally lack of range of motion is going to result in unhealthy joints, because you lack the ability to put the joint in a good position while moving, and also moving through full ROM is important for joint health. So if you can't do either of those things due to lack of ROM, you likely will end up with shoulder problems later down the line.

    In my opinion you're choice of words are wrong. Stop saying "less healthy". This video is about MOBILITY not how "healthy" your shoulder is. More mobility does NOT equal more "health". And telling people that if you can't do this then you don't have "healthy" shoulders is first of all horribly scieitificly, anatomically og biomechanically inaccurate. Second of all it's creating or at least inducing fear avoidance. Not being able to do this exercise exactly like the "Dr." says doesn't mean you have bad shoulders or unhealthy shoulders or anything like that. It just means you might have less mobility in your shoulders as the guys in this video. Let's think about how much these guys have practiced this or anything like it and compare it to how much you have. You'll only get better at something by practicing it. "Dr." Andreo Spina, you should know this. I'm a physiotherapist and I do not recommend listening to the wording in this video.

    • @lislcroft
      @lislcroft ปีที่แล้ว

      As a manual therapist, I disagree with you. If you follow Spina’s work (based in research), and if you have attended any of the FRS courses you will quickly learn that how well the joint is able to perform these CARs, IS VERY MUCH indicative of the deep health of the joint; the true health of the joint is about the deep capsular space; this governs the overall “workspace”, not the other way around. Clients often like and benefit from us being direct and to the point. Honesty has value. People need to realise where they are at, in order to be accountable and actual work towards improving. It’s not about being a perfectionist. It is about being real.
