Blanca's and Pray Tell. Pray Tell reminds me of myself. Blanca remind me of who I use to be. Optimistic and innocent. I've pushed both them bitches out the window. Just say ya'll were joking and bring it back....give us a Season 4. Pray Tell can be the ghost that visits when folks need encouragement.

This breaks my heart! This show is beyond powerful. But I get it. they've kept the stories as real as possible and with the way history went- most diagnosed during that time did not survive to see the mid 90s-2000s during the AIDS epidemic and it may even be a dishonor to the characters they're based upon.

I’m crying already just watching this video. I am so going to miss Pose. I have loved every minute of every episode and I have loved all of the characters. As a 72 year old gay man who grew up when it wasn’t okay to be gay, I can relate to the characters’ struggles but I admire these trans women who played them and had the strength to fully be themselves. And they are all very beautiful women. And Billy Porter is incomparable. I love his character and I admire and respect him as a man. And not to forget Papi. What a terrific young guy. Almost forgot Sandra Bernhard. Perfect choice for her character.

    • @SlpBeauty333

I think Sandra Bernhard "had herself written in" to Pose. OK more like a schmooze. But still. It's on Late Night with Seth Meyer, I just checked.

I could be wrong but it seemed to me that the original episode or two had a fairly low viewership because I remember thinking to myself that it will be canceled before it even gets started. No one wanted to watch a show about LGBT people, especially trans people. I thought it would never get past one season but I sure am glad I was wrong.

So glad for this show to have been created. It humanizes a community that had been outcasted and considered less then. It shows that EVERYONE is deserving of LOVE & ACCEPTANCE. Its not for you to judge and condemn anybody that chooses a different path then you chose. I thoroughly enjoyed this show and hope that the Trans community will finally get the acceptance to live their truths without the shame and brutality that is forced onto them by alot of do called Christian's.

@@miraldoponce4967 most definitely. I never knew this community existed until Pose. I'm so grateful to have been open enough to start watching this incredible show. I hope this KICKS the door down for more opportunities for Trans people of color. These stories were so heart felt. I laughed and cried along with them every week. At the end of the day there's only one race...THE HUMAN ONE!! We all just want a fair shot in life and a loving support system along the way, its that simple.

    • @SlpBeauty333

But there's no choice in being trans.
CSB: I have a coworker who has a name that is really hard to spell. I did a Google search for something else, didn't realize that his name was still on the clipboard and got a hit for an article about him. The summary made it sound like a fluff piece on people who run the Boston marathon. I was going to tease the hell out of him for driving to work instead of running.
The article was about him being trans and being so happy to get rid of his breasts and how much easier it was without breasts. As a two time breast cancer survivor, I was PISSED. How dare he do that when I didn't have a choice. I had to have my boobs all scarred up because of cancer. He didn't have to have that surgery. I did or I would have died.
Then it hit me: He had no more choice than I did. He didn't ask to be born trans any more than I chose to have cancer.

Once the network gains recognition they dump the black audience in favor for white audiences. Remember Noah's Arc? This show not only brings back memories of hanging in NYC during the early to mid-Nineties, but it also takes me back to the Drag community I experienced while in college in Louisiana during that timeframe. The communities were similar, even though the physical landscape was different. Baton Rouge and New Orleans had LEGENDS that were true to form back in the day. As the scene grew with acceptance and awareness, those ladies also began to spread out and make their mark. Instead of Balls, they had Pageants, which were something to witness! They also had their version of houses, though not officially organized like those in NYC at the time, they existed under the same premise of survival. Some of my college friends, on a quest to better themselves, still had to hustle to make ends meet. I truly learned a lot from them and appreciated their genuine presence, confidence, and perseverance to live their truth, no matter what. Thank you for representing the scene and culture properly. You all nailed every detail, especially when it came to the music, which was accurately presented for each timeframe of the show!!

Hate to see it go, but I get that a lot of producers these days know when to *not* drag a great show out to the point that it gets stale and kind of ruins it's legacy. I appreciate that this show happened anyway. Such a powerful representation of a community that's even ostracized to this day, even with the higher visibility and greater acceptance in society. When we say "representation matters" for *any* marginalized group of people, it's not just a slogan, or a hashtag, *it really does matter* . It's important for young people to feel included in society and _Pose_ I think did wonders in that front.

With the FABULOUSITY of the Finale, How can any one cancel this series??? It gives so much of life's possibilities! I am not gay or lesbian, but, my heart goes out to everyone more and more with every show. I've watched this series from day one. It started with RuPaul's Drag Race from Season 1. I love the artistry of the transitions from one gender to the other in their immense creativity of the Ballroom also, as well as in their every day life...their struggles...wondering why our kind and precious GOD made them with these challenges....please bring this series back. I learned so much about their trials and struggles...THANK YOU..GOD BLESS YOU ALL💕 Ill watch the reruns for years to come, as RuPaul's also.......

This show really did break so many barriers! And she is so right, if you don't cast authentically, there is going to be a backlash. I hope all these talented people continue to get casted in Hollywood!

That Pose cast trans women in their own roles was revolutionary. That this will be one day be the norm in casting is my dream. Thank you all for your magnificent work! (Indi film Boy Meets Girl did it first, and is still an all time favorite of mine.)

I love this show! As a tween in the early 80s in NY, this show perfectly captured the vibe, on every level. My mother was an ED nurse who witnessed the violence and abuse that so many beautiful souls in the trans community experienced, the homelessness, the loneliness, the abuse, and violence was heartbreaking.
I'm so glad it was made, the cast, script, costume designs were amazing. It is a truly groundbreaking series! I didn't want it to end. This will forever be in my top series of all time.

POSE is a show like no other. I hate that it took me years to watch this. It's a show that's so revolutionary that it's leaving on a high. Just like Sense8.

Great show and opportunity for people of color and trans people!! There were some Epic moments on the show. I can't be the only one who missed the presence of Ryan Jamaal Swain's character Damon!!! I hope that Ryan and that beautiful spirit is healing from the death of his sister. I'm also glad that we got to see many of the characters live full and happy lives. I wished there could have been more seasons. Great job family!! Great job!!!
