- very curious about what they're setting up for sydney in s4 through this scene- luca's staying for a few months, and then their topic of conversation about best friends... which was a thing claire brought up last season about fak being carmy's best friend and carmy denying it + fak's insistence that he IS carmy's best friend this season
there's a connection there that i can't quite fully connect, someone help me
again, i'm sorry for the format, copyright is whacking my ass
Scene is from The Bear Season 3 Episode 10.
I like these two together. Luca has a calming and steady presence that Syd could be drawn to. I know I am.
I definitely think they'll end up dating for a while. Which will drive Carmy crazy. And that last part when he's asking if she has anyone in her life like that aside from her dad? He was really asking if she has a man. I see you, Luca!
Yessss
I love the understated flrtiness of this scene. Not too many giggles or inebriated banter, but just enough to give audience that spark. Brilliant choices by the actors and director.
First time she’s genuinely smiling all season!
No because the chemistry was just so there with these two 👀
Cause let’s get on this SHIP!
The romance I couldn't find in any other show😊
The greatest thing about Luca is his calm and steady approach towards the cooking profession as opposed to Carmy’s.
I like these two together. Luca is everything Carmy is trying and failing to be right now.
S2 "Yeah, I've got a little sister out there... somewhere"
S3 "My sister's here, and uhh.. it's been a while"
He found his sister😢
Luca has this really hard backstory, it sounds like him and his sister grew up in the system, and one point or another got split up. He probably grew up in a group home, it's implied that he had no future or prospects and was going down a bad path when he was literally forced to work in a kitchen. He made a great career for himself and worked up from nothing, and here he is at the top having been reunited with his sister. Luca has had like 5 minutes of screen time and he's a character that feels like a real person that I'm rooting for
Didn't pick up on that, thank you
That’s interesting… at this moment we know more about him than we do Claire…. And she’s been on screen longer…. What are the writers doing with her
@@remholloway2579eye candy for the male audience 🤷🏾♀️
The can’t even look at each other for long ☺️
I really wanna know more about Luca...just the little moments are played so well. I've never heard the sibling relationship described so perfectly before. There's more to that story and dynamic and I want to see it. Will Poulter does a wonderful job and the character itself has no right being too well written...but this is what I love about this show.
It's sweet because he talks about her to Marcus in the second season. Marcus had opened up about his sick mother, so Luca says he has a sister "out there somewhere" even though it clearly pains him to talk about her. As far as I can tell from the way he talked, they grew up in foster care. It's heartwarming to hear they've been reunited.
Yoooooo! I just caught that Adam was the one who smudged the dish that he got mad at the staff for in S2E7! I can’t 😂😂😂😂😂
It was actually a little different. The staff had a smudge but they had to match the smudge plate with the other 4 dishes. So basically he purposely had to smudge the other plates. This obviously makes zero sense but is what it is.
@@VicRobeyWait what? I thought that Adam thought that someone else smudged the plate, but that it turned out to actually have been him who smudged the first plate. That’s what I got from this scene referencing back to S2E7.
@@Keesha_Hardyno the way you’re interpreting it is correct imo. He went out of his way to say someone else made the smudge and gave his whole spiel on how all the plates had to be smudged thereafter. But the big reveal is he is the one who actually made the initial smudge.
Luca says that he’s not “as good as” Carmy, but he’s just talking about the cooking skill superiority that Carmy has, he’s not talking about the other subtle skills, his ability to remain calm, and therefore to cooperate more easily and efficiently, to be able to attract and calm people. Those are very helpful skills in a work environment as well, to be surrounded by calm and quiet confidence is a blessing, and the fact that the bear doesn’t succeed completely proves that, no matter your creative genius, if you can’t keep the team united and concentrated, you’ll fail either way.
Luca is stable. Carmy is…NOT lol.
Makes Luca a good foil for Carmy. Hope we see more of him
Luca’s character interested me since he was introduced in s2. And like…he’s also fine asf. These two also have great on screen chemistry. Want to see where this goes but I’m into it.
@@burnt-croissants it's too bad that the first thing I saw him in was that "we're the millers" movie... I feel like he regrets doing that dumb comedy since almost everything he's done after has been pretty serious drama.
@@stephengrigg5988Have you seen Dopesick?
@@stephengrigg5988no it was funny but he also did serious roles as well I knew he looked familiar and that was his break out role
Just finished watching season 3 and had to see if I was the only one who noticed the little chemistry between them. MAKE THIS HAPPEN! Please and thank you😌
Alright I ship them
Me too
She’s soo cute

I lovvvvve this❤ An actual man for Sydney😊
Ok don't hate me... but why would anyone want Claire or Syndney with Carmy?? They both deserve better in terms of romantic and business partners. Carmy has a lot to work through. I dont think anyone should be in a relationship with such an unstable person, especially Claire. She really does have her shit together and seems to be genuinely sweet.
The writers f*cked up by saying this wasn't a show about romance or something along those lines, only to turn around and throw Claire in there for Carmy. I agree that Carmy has a hell of a lot of trauma that needs to be worked through and doesn't need to be in a romantic relationship. He's hanging on by a thread, and Sydney nor Claire can fix him or his trauma. The writers were trying to avoid shipping and inadvertently ended up with just that by adding in Claire, imo.
I have been trying to find out what episode this is and you saved me!!! Thank you!!!
poulter is too underrated.
Her and Luca are cute iggggg
Why is Luca always drinking water from a wine glass? Is he sober? Or is Will Poulter?
I think so
I Stan this
My problem with Carmy and Sydney is not the lack of chemistry that some mention. Although I didn’t notice it until the second season, I decided to rewatch the first one to clarify my doubts, and indeed, they have chemistry; I just hadn’t realized it before. However, I don’t see them as a couple right now, since Carmen is complicated and needs to resolve many of his issues before having a relationship. Besides, there’s Claire, but I also like how Luka and Sydney look together.
He does say he is staying for a couple of months this time, so I’m praying that Luca is a fixed character next season 🤞🏼
Sydney's absolutely going to take the position and Richie is going to have a scene talking with her about his experience with Adam in "Forks". Carmy's going to get back together with Claire and either realize he's better off without Sydney or needs her and asks her to come back.
100% I agree. Or Adam is completely inept running his own kitchen and leans too heavily on Sydney. Sydney’s obviously very tempted this season to take Adam’s offer because she feels like her voice isn’t being heard at The Bear, but I think she’s going to realize that she still has a lot to learn from Carmy.
I actually think Carmy will attempt to get with Claire but there’s a good chance she’ll reject him. Just my opinion.
Nah because I prefer this waaaay over SydCarmy
Sydney deserves a man who's as level-headed as her and that's definitely not Carmy.
Yes. I like it. Picasso
They had more chemistry in these 2 and a half minutes than she and carmy ever had. Carmy/Syd shippers are other kinds of delusional.
These guys might hook up and Carmy won't like it
I seriously doubt it. This isn't that kind of a show. Or at least it hasn't been up 'till now.
If she leaves and decides to get with Luca, I can imagine Carmy trying to do the same thing like he tried to do with Mikey, and push The Bear to spite her so she’d be forced to acknowledge him.
@@SoFloCo-ne4rk -- Because that NEVER happens in kitchen environments, right? As someone who worked for 15 years in the industry, I assure you it most definitely does. Even if Carmy and Syd aren't romantically inclined, Carmy disliking them hooking up would be expected. Syd is his person and chefs can be very territorial.
@@eme.261 I'm not saying it doesn't happen in real life but sexual and romantic storylines don't seem to be what the writers of this show are interested in. They're interested in exploring other themes. Don't confuse a TV show with reality.
@@SoFloCo-ne4rk -- Who says the writers aren't interested in those elements? They've been present in the show, just in a nuanced way. If you've overlooked those elements, that's on you.
By the bye, romance and sex aren't the same things.
The Bear will end with season 4. I don't need no Luca backstory, or Syd n Luca love story. I need the writers to wrap up all the old stories. That includes Syd, Carmy, Cousin, T, Marcus, Neil, Sweeps, Ebra, and even haunting Claire. We ain't got no time for new stories
How do you know that season 4 will be the last season?
@@Keesha_Hardyno one knows if season 4 will be its last but all the actors are getting so popular from the show and getting new opportunities (especially ayo) and it will be hard to continue at least with scheduling conflicts if they want to stay on
@@Keesha_Hardy I read it some where on the internet. It said The Bear was supposed to be 3 seasons, but due to it's success, FX asked Storer to do a season 4, hence the to be continued at the end of season 3. I don't know how true the story is. The internet is a web of lies and very little truth.
@@livingbyfaith1 why are you in such a rush for them to end things? Lol, as long as the writing stays on point, they could keep this going however long they want
@@stephengrigg5988Exactly. I don’t get why some fans want this show to end so quickly. I don’t like for shows to go longer than they should, yes, but I’m not sure that they could wrap up everything in just one season.
Lmao. Here comes the bs.
What?
Hopefully this scene isn’t supposed to convey that they have chemistry
Why not? Looked like mild flirting to me.
Why not ?
@@sophiac.williams6453 Because it started awkward and ended awkward. Just two people looking at the floor mumbling questions and answers. If they wanted to lead this to a relationship or at least convey chemistry they would need to have at least a little genuine connection.
@@VicRobey hmm interesting 🤔 I looked at as them just casually getting to know each other 😌🤷🏾♀️
@@VicRobey -- People who are attracted to each other aren't a monolith. There are myriad of ways people vibe together when they're sussing each other out. I sensed searching romantic chemistry here; maybe it's because this is how I usually operate in similar situations.
