#1 Thing to do with ANY power equipment bought @ HD/ LOWES etc is to buy it IN BOX, an unopened / undamaged box if possible. ( Off-the-shelf / pre-assembled machines are often missing parts, poorly assembled & handled/ played around with... possibly damaged.) MAKE SURE IT HAS A WARRANTY CARD / OWNERS MANUAL & any tools/ parts kit it was supposed to come with ! ) 2nd is a full inspection for damage, missing parts & functionality ! 3rd. File that warranty ASAP & save your store receipt in a sealed envelope ( in a very safe place ).
I totally agree. I’ve had my share of headaches trying to get a return on some poorly assembled equipment. However, I’ve have had no issues returning products that are damaged or broken.
