Seems like with all the screwing around you can do it with less hassle just doing it yourself with a snowblower. Seems like it needs more power. But eventually it will probably get better. I would think having a commercial heavy duty model that could go down the sidewalk around a city block and driveway to driveway would be more effective than each homeowner having their own residential version.
It does not seem to clear the snow as effectively as you would with your Ego Power+ 2-Stage Snow Blower? I would love to see a side-by-side comparison or a race between the two.
@@bobbylewisfdl1166 This model will be more suited for the homeowner with a budget for a new riding mower. Lol, I have been using my gas snowblower for the past 25 years. There are so many different things can be happening while using the snowblower . Lol, honestly this absolutely won’t work. Let’s do the math, with that crazy high price, you can pay someone to shovel your property for the next 25 years and you still can save your money. You can use $6000 to buy the top of the line Honda snowblower and you won’t be regretting, and you still can save $4000 in your bank.
Could u create one plan for snow removal and a different plan for garden care? In snow removal i wouldnt mind if it did the front pathways along with the enire front sidewalk However when it comes to garden care i want it to do only the garden

Trying to proceed with clogged straw will prematurely damage the electronics.😊

@@razorbackg.7004 for slushy snow they’ve come out with a plow attachment. I have it but haven’t had a chance to try it. The goal is to send it out early before it gets too deep and wet but of course it’s all going to depend on ambient temperature and how much area you have to plow before it needs to recharge. The wet heavy stuff can be even tough for my regular 2 stage blower. For this year I’m going to install the studs for the tracks for sure.
Curious how it would do during the brutal MN winters. Also, with the lawn mowing feature, how does it do when encountering dog poo? We need a robo dog poo pickup adapter. 🤣
I didn’t include it in the interview but Ken did say that has been requested often and it can easily be programmed to recognize dog poo, they just need to design a method to collect it effectively.
Would love one, but no way I can justify the cost here in Ottawa. We might need it 2-3 times per year for snow. And well, it would take 10-15 years to amortize the cost of my lawn cutting company. Once the prices come down to $2k then it makes sense. Current price is just too high.
I think the key takeaway is that they’re trying to create complete yard system which is definitely more feasible since not everyone needs a lot of snow clearing often. Think mower, blower, spreader, security, towing machine, maybe even a dog poop collector.
Cool idea. There are however, a lot of buts. But how will it work in heavy, very wet snow? Snow deeper than the housing on this bot? How long will the battery last? Battery life definitely based on size of area, depth of snow, moisture content of the snow. Put a 10 hp gas motor on it and I’d think about buying it.
As mentioned it’s not made to go out and tackle 3 feet of snow. It’s a robot so send it out when it’s a few inches and let it keep going. Apparently soon it will have access to the local weather info and can send itself out based on the current and predicted snowfall. They actually have a shovel attachment for wet snow. I have many more tests to do when we get more snow but so far it’s quite an amazing machine and the algorithm in the software is pretty smart.
My Yarbo can clear my 4,000 sq ft driveway on 1 charge if dry snow and 4-5" or under. Wet snow takes a lot more power, and it can plug like any blower does. Yarbo sold a plow blade add-on which does well with the wet snow and slush and with the auger off it barely uses power.

It’s really expensive. If I pay young people on my street to shovel, cost me $40 for a snowfall like this. We get around 15 snowfalls per year. $600 Would take 15 years of use to begin saving money. The neighborhood kids would get paid $10,000 instead of a corporate company

It does not seem to clear the snow as effectively as you would with your Ego Power+ 2-Stage Snow Blower? I would love to see a side-by-side comparison or a race between the two.
@@xAngel03 In a race the Ego would win for sure. They’re both so cool.
Is it self cleaning when the chute gets clogged?
Awesome!
Man this things gonna be a game changers for businesses to clean side walks. They’ll no longer have to hire anyone
A human will still do a better job in my opinion
@@bobbylewisfdl1166 costs are different
@@bobbylewisfdl1166 This model will be more suited for the homeowner with a budget for a new riding mower. I think the company owner will find it a nightmare to get it dialed in for multiple properties. But in some situations for the small time person maybe they will be able to set it up to do the sidewalks while they do the parking lot with the skidsteer. I would like this for my home, but Ill have to install the new driveway first cause it's not going to handle my messed up concrete. also it's only going to be good if it is a light dusting overnight and not for a real snow fall. But this is the most impressive one ive seen yet and I wanna save up for it if it gets some more good reviews.
In snow removal i wouldnt mind if it did the front pathways along with the enire front sidewalk
However when it comes to garden care i want it to do only the garden
Yes you can create that. I could have did the driveway and sidewalk as the same map. I just wanted to see what it would be like to create a different map. Still learning.
@@EverydayReviews2022 whats the cost?
And is there a new model on the horizon
@@joeyanderson6660 currently it’s $7500 with the snow blower module but they have specials on. They will be coming out with a simpler and less expensive version. I don’t know when but they said that’s in the works at this time.
@@EverydayReviews2022 how does it perform in ice or blizzard high snow situations?
OK, I'm assuming it can't clear the straw (round hole the chute attaches to) on its own, so I can't see this being fully autonomous yet. You will still have to go out in the storm to manually clear the straw yourself. Hopefully, It knows to shut itself off if a clog occurs. Trying to proceed with clogged straw will prematurely damage the electronics.😊
What you will do if the car theft love it? 😂
At 10k you can just make a contract with the neighborhood kids to shovel your sidewalk for their entire childhood/teenage years before you hire their kids.
😂😂😂
Yeah right.... todays kids are lazy as all get out..good luck with that😂...this is perfect for people with disabilities and older folks...im down for it😊
If i have the money and a house i will buy this yarbo
It's popularity is due to the fact it also blows snow...
Short circuit says yo momma is a snow blower 😂😂
Seems like this would have a hard time with packed or slushy snow.
When you are done with this machine you can store it beside the automatic cat litter box
Used to love our auto cat litter machine. Used it for 6-7 years and it was still going strong when she passed.
For MN winters, the secret would be to have it operating more often to avoid large accumulations. Would depend on how large your area is
YARBO The World's First Modular Yard Robot- So Much More than a Lawn Mower Review
th-cam.com/video/J8Fo15CtsZo/w-d-xo.html
Would love one, but no way I can justify the cost here in Ottawa. We might need it 2-3 times per year for snow. And well, it would take 10-15 years to amortize the cost of my lawn cutting company. Once the prices come down to $2k then it makes sense. Current price is just too high.
I think the key takeaway is that they’re trying to create complete yard system which is definitely more feasible since not everyone needs a lot of snow clearing often. Think mower, blower, spreader, security, towing machine, maybe even a dog poop collector.
Is there a fee for positioning? I am guessing in less populated areas the RTK positioning will not work.
It's much like GPS so you are fine
what happens when the plow comes flying down the road and robo blower is at end ofdriveway
Is this the 2024 model? Do you have videos of yarbo clearing steeper driveways?
Finally!
had you thought about using Geodnet RTK for centimeter precision
Yea, I also checked the prize and I would never pay that much
Do you leave it in the garage?
@@kentross6545 Thanks for the info. How many times have you used yours?
I want one!
I need one. People that want usually get it , people that need usually don't get it. Unfair.
I so scared of it.
Might be better to get a heated driveway?
Unfortunately can’t heat the 200ft of sidewalk I have to clear 😂
can this identify threats... to the garden?
I'll take the fresh air and exercise for free thanks
@@JymmzDandii It’s not really about being lazy but for saving time especially if you have to shovel often and maybe need to work or have other things to do. Some people may not be very mobile as well. Not for everyone but sure has applications.
@EverydayReviews2022 fair enough, as a resident of Northern Canada i do spend a fair amount of time shoveling. And it could be handy before work.
I struggle to see it breaking up snow drifts though honestly and seeing how much snow it moves I can out pace it.
I wouldn't be able to whe. I'm old though I suppose.
It’s really expensive. If I pay young people on my street to shovel, cost me $40 for a snowfall like this. We get around 15 snowfalls per year. $600
Would take 15 years of use to begin saving money.
The neighborhood kids would get paid $10,000 instead of a corporate company
It's impressive, but to a certain extent. I don't think it would withstand our harsh Quebec winters. 😁
you would need the flame thrower attachment to melt that part.
Yarbo should build a charging box which mean when it needs to recharge it goes inside this box and the door closed once it docked then the box will have built in heaters which blow warm air while it charges then if there are ice built in the passages they will get melt , wont this work
I'm sold... comes with a nice looking free XBOX controller lol
Check out the video I did with the mower attachment. It’s pretty impressive!
My driveway is 100x30' and takes me 20 min with my 21 year old ariens. For someone to plow my driveway, it's $450 for the season, and they come at 3". If someone can convince me that this little bot is a better financial investment/roi considering it would take over 10 years to see the roi when compared to a service, I'd get one. I'm all ears 👂
@@jasonmiller3934 hard to beat those numbers . Only thing that I can add is that it can also mow your lawn after winter, tow a trailer , act as a security system or scarecrow. It’s designed as a multipurpose yard robot. Given all those things it’s not for everyone. I could mop my floors at home but I use a robot vacuum/mop. It doesn’t save me any money but it works everyday without complaining and does something I hate doing. Have a watch of the other video I have with Yarbo mowing, it’s pretty cool. Thanks for the comment. Cheers
@@EverydayReviews2022I'm in upstate NY and winter will begin soon. Feel free to send one for a review of the upstate NY snow and how it works in our conditions. I'd rather use my Honda Tracked snowblower and a basic shovel. Those have not failed me even once even with 60 cm of snow covering my driveway and making my cars disappear underneath. The Honda does not care what kind of snow you throw at it, wet, heavy, icy, fluffy, etc.
I can attest to it because I have purchased these tools with my money.
1:24 Anyone else here shocked when they didn't hear "ola"
You know you could just re do your drive way and install a heated floor installation it will be costly but you will never have to buy a machine or deal with maintenance.
kool ...can you just Joystick it ??
Yes you can.
My yard is full of snow but I have no Yarbo. How sad..!
My concern is someone stealing it and the plow banks left.
Most of em are encoded so they can only work with their base station. So if they steal it it's useless.
They do have an alarm if picked up, it’s really heavy to lift and it is useless to anyone else but most don’t know that. So would be thieves if you’re reading this, don’t waste your time stealing unless you want a 160lb paper weight and sore back.
@@EverydayReviews2022 you're assuming thieves take the time to think and reason out their actions. If they did then most wouldn't follow through. Sadly that's just not real world.

Possible just a matter of time before some clones of Chinese origin..
I doubt if your Stihl can do deep heavy wet snow.

Other than set up of transporting it you really don’t need to use the controller.

When did you use the snowblower in the garage that has snow all over it?
For 10k, I’ll pay someone to clear my driveway for the rest of my life…
There is no way that will clear the front of a driveway after a plow goes by.
@@Jimbojoebob no it won’t but neither will my regular 2 stage. The whole idea of a robot is have it continually work when the snow isn’t feet deep so it doesn’t accumulate.
