You guys rock, If I saw this when I started producing so much of my questions would have been answered... This is so importand, and most people don't know this really. Thanx alot for your toturials! ;)
these are the greatest thing ever, love the sound design tutorials like the bass and reese tutorials. keep em up! it'd be awesome to keep throwing a different sound design tidbit into future tutorials if you don't do more that focus specifically on it, toward the end or something.
These tutorials are amazing guys. I hope you can keep thinking of new things to teach people, you're quite good at breaking down things to layman's terms.
You probably hear these guys saying Vengeance quite a bit...the small reference to it in each vid is there for a reason, if you want to make excellent dubstep you need good samples and vengeance has got it, I just picked up the entire collection, it has everything you will ever need and then some.
Thanks for the tutorials guys, any chance of a tut on the sound at 12:17? I've watched the basses one and the reese one. The thing i'm struggling with most is sound design, so this would be real useful. Thanks again.
just wanted to drop by and let you know that I uploaded one of my very first dubstep tracks('on the floor') and I have you guys to thank for the lessons and instructions that made it possible. don't tell me if my song sounds like "rubbish", I don't handle disappointment well... lol just kidding let me have it... I need all the criticism I can take(good or bad). HAVE A GREAT DAY:)
@dodgeandfuskitv besides being boss as fuck, did you two go to school for this or like learn from experience,, just hella curious.. dont wanna have to learn from youtube my whole life xD
Structure your DNB however you like. That being said you need to adjust for the increase in speed. Your intro and build should be anywhere from 32-64. As odd as it sounds, some DNB producers use 48 bars. You can look up structure for DNB on youtube as well. Hope that helps.
Lol, check out Fudge It - Don't Do That on soundcloud, someone has already sampled dodge saying "Don't Fucking Do That" from this video and made a dirty dubstep song of it :DD
I've always wanted to talk to pros about dubstep and this is the next best thing, thank you guys for the tuts

12:48 ''Drum rolls are good, sometimes silence is good in the right tune, or like a.. just a PSHH!!''
Cracks me up every time!!
Very helpful to hear it told straight up from some DJs!
Very good vibes man, very wise advise. Looking forward to watching more!
YAY
These tutorials are fucking fantastic, I have seen many in the last little bit and these are the best to understand. I appreciate it..

Great Stuff!!!You guys should definitely make a tutorial on how to remove and isolate parts of samples such as drum hit without getting the music.
i love how excited doge gets when he's explaining whats going on. i do the same thing :)
keep up the good work dodge and fuski. love you guys.

Big tune!
Wish I had seen this years ago. I'll be sending you guys some fake drops with ambient instrumental intros in no time.

You guys are so funny!
Two geniuses

@dodgeandfuskitv
besides being boss as fuck, did you two go to school for this or like learn from experience,, just hella curious.. dont wanna have to learn from youtube my whole life xD
also, make sure all your frequencies are filled. lows, mids, highs
this is greeeat!! DAF u guys are sick! haha like the song :p
Can you post a link to the structure picture you made
I paused it at the screenshot and then played Guetta-Step. It was exactly like the picture.
Same question as timMattaMusic. Also thanks!!
Good tutorial guys just one thing, you said do everything in 16's how come your A / B / A is in 24 ? sureley that equates to 8
que programa es ese
do you think drum and bass has the same structure as dubstep? or am i wasting my time lol, i still found the first 2 vids pretty useful though.
Tip: Finish the song, turn off monitor. Hit space to play the song. If it sounds good then it is.
wait wait, can you explain the drag and drop part again for me?
@Addok Yes.
how do you make your music seem whole? My music sounds a bit empty if you know what i mean

i want a sound design with massive tutorial
I totally agree with these guys on the double drop. As a DJ it severely pisses me off when they do that. I usually just edit it out.
whats the best vengeance sample pack for drums?
Hey guys, Vengeance samples / Philta XL link is not working!!!
how many bars within the 16 bars, are you using 4 or 8 bar loops?
you need a more updated version of massive
@MothershipAudio hahaha....laughed so hard at that!
@LiquistikCollective Agreed ! :D
Yes
is it loud enough? Are you filling in your mids and highs too?
can cubase be used on a pc?
11:34 Tutorial on this bass please!!
thanks! :D
Wheres the download link?
damn i think i fucking love you guys!!!
I wanna send some tunes over :P
why in the hell i cant find the "lunacy"??
what program do they use?
where are the samples
I make dubstep, its really cool, it goes wob wob, wee wee and wiro wiro
5000 subs done! now give away the patcheesssss!
Most helpful structure tip: "Keep it 16 bar".
So where are the presets? :(
Idk what to do on the B Section..
This inspire me to make and send you guys a song with only fake drops.
I have such a great buildup for a song, but I can't figure out what I should do 4 the drop. Just to say, I'm also a rookie @ this
Send me a link and I might be able to help.
Lol, check out Fudge It - Don't Do That on soundcloud, someone has already sampled dodge saying "Don't Fucking Do That" from this video and made a dirty dubstep song of it :DD
If there is no beat for the first few bars.....cue it at when they come in, at 5,9 or 17.
I like the random ass horn at 10:33
i hate extra bars hospital recs are do that (high contrasT)
I swear to god Fuski and Rusko are twins... O.O
oh my fucking god, i've thought all that shit about extra bars and fake drops for ages! thought it was just me haaha
lol drag it, ...then drop it.
Skrillex is also part of a group called dog blood...
@fighterzbt23 Cubase
pause this at 3:06 and tell me thats not the coolest face ever.
Oh, so Rusko is in this video.
Drag and Drop
And whatever this sound is as well 12:54
Dodge & Rusko
sound
Sub bass, add bass. Emptiness means you have no bass for the most part. I had the same problem, just add a sub.
I tried to drop, then drag. My computer blew up
i do have a sub..
word
Fuski looks like a more timid Rusko. Anyone else agree?
13:38 fuski.... derp!
