You guys.. i've swept the entire colossal youtube airwaves for a shortly put brief input on how to properly get a good sounding reece bass thats basic.. you have just succeeded in providing just that and had me laughing .. I'd give you a hundred likes if i could.
After watching videos 1 - 4 I just returned to a track I have been working on and within... 10 mins it's sounding 10 X cleaner and there is still a ton of vids to go through. Cheers lads. Good work
You guys are the best. Always informative and great tutorials while keeping it interesting just being the funny guys you are. Keep it up Dodge & Fuski!!!!!
@RobGodleyDubstep mastering is something a label would always take care of - the only mastering we'd do for demo/quick play-out version of new tune purposes etc. would be to stick a limiter such as the Sony Oxford limiter on the master buss for make the track nice and loud
ring modulation (RM) is when you modulate the volume of an oscillator with the frequency of another oscillator. frequency modulation (FM) is modulating the pitch of an osc with the frequency of another osc.
Big up for doing this guys!! Great to see producers in the industry give an inside look into production techniques. Way better than many of the masterclasses out there. Would love to see a tutorial on mixdowns as well
A great thing to remember is: Make the sound your own. Use this video and tutorials like this as a gateway to making your own unique sounds. Dont try to be the next Andy C or Noisia. Be the next YOU.
I think ring modulation is when you have two oscillators and it multiplys the two signals which consists of frequencies that are the sum and difference of the oscillators frequencies. Amplitude modulation(AM) is completely different.
Hey guys, really like the tutorials you have going. I personally would like to see a tutorial on a lead line or pad next, like that epic lead sound in Aerophobia, during the intro.
@Addok Ah wait. I figured it out. NI changed the file format for some reason but offer a ksd file converter. Open Massive. Got to file, and click ksd batch converter. Then select the folder where the patch is and it converts it into a .nmsv. Cheers for the patch guys!
Hey, can you guys offer the .nmsv format of the patch? the .ksd isn't compatible with massive anymore or has to be converted through massive which I can't get it to do.
@dodgeandfuskitv i understand what you mean by the label would take care of mastering but most people don't have a label, it was just an idea though, the tutorials are really good though, keep them coming :)
hey can you show how you guys made that sick g-funk bass in 'Vice' i have attempted to make one using a saw and a sine bass but i cant seem to get a bass nearly as good as you guys track
You forgot to mention the very first sound modulation, when you play the sound at 03:50 and 04:20. That's not just the wavetable. Is it a filter sweep?
I think that's because it's on Bend. It's not a filter. Or maybe it's because the Lunacy oscillator is playing really low notes? Wavetables can sound quite dynamic when they are played at low frequencies.
When I try to make this bass, my Lunacy oscillates way faster than it does in the video and I don't get the dirty sound when I turn the phaser on. It just sort of changes the vowel formation. Anyone else have this problem?
ive been tryting to learn how to make dubstep and ive been having trouble i dont really know where to start. ive played around with fl studios but i havent made much progress. if anyone could tell me where i could learn how id be really grateful.
not sure if you're doing tutorial requests but as a recently new producer, something i struggle with is mastering, a little video about it would really help new comers.. just a little suggestion :)
To be able to raise your video limit, go to "upload" at the top and then on the right of the box, click "increase time limit"...or something that has to do with the limit. Put in your phone number and it will send a verification txt to you. Put that into the verification box and click ok. Now you're able to upload longer videos. I noticed you guys have 2k subs, so you SHOULD already be able to upload 30 min videos already.
"That's kind of the sound SKisM makes when he's snoring"
LMAO haha
lmfao
Fuski, can you make a good Reese, please?
*FVHRVHRVRHWU*
Uh, yeah, that'll do
fuski go brrrrrrrr

Thank you all so much, each little bit of your tutorials is amazingly helpful if not just to see both of you talking to your fans/inspired musicians
After watching videos 1 - 4 I just returned to a track I have been working on and within... 10 mins it's sounding 10 X cleaner and there is still a ton of vids to go through. Cheers lads. Good work

Loving these tutorials guys. Incredible Producers Keep making insane tunes :-)
Cheers! thanks for sharing your knowledge! I always am of the thought that sharing tips and tricks is way better than keeping it all to myself.

Hey, where can i find your awesome preset? Was looking for just this to implement im my new techno act..:) cheers! Thanks!
yo the download doesnt work anymore can you please fix it?
Now that's just not fair. They are both talented producers in their own right.
I think ring modulation is when you have two oscillators and it multiplys the two signals which consists of frequencies that are the sum and difference of the oscillators frequencies. Amplitude modulation(AM) is completely different.
@MyBULLETBILL the number one answer I found this is to sit and watch tutorials for a bunch of people....Ryan Enzed is a GREAT example
when I click the link I get "this webpage is not available." Any help?
Pause 0:05.
"This is going to be one hell of a tutorial"
Can Someone ReUpload A Preset Please? Thanx D & F!
@Addok
You can convert it with the build-in KSD batch convert..
It's under "File", next to the MASSIVE logo ;)
Thank you guys!
Hey guys, really like the tutorials you have going. I personally would like to see a tutorial on a lead line or pad next, like that epic lead sound in Aerophobia, during the intro.

@TheOptoKinetic Dude thnx alot man for the Phat Reece
Great tutorial!! I definitely think a tutorial on mixing and mastering would be very helpful for new producers like myself. Thanks! :)
10.57 your talking about the kbd tracking on the filter :) nice sounds!
@Addok Ah wait. I figured it out. NI changed the file format for some reason but offer a ksd file converter. Open Massive. Got to file, and click ksd batch converter. Then select the folder where the patch is and it converts it into a .nmsv.

Hey, can you guys offer the .nmsv format of the patch? the .ksd isn't compatible with massive anymore or has to be converted through massive which I can't get it to do.
this was really great. could you guys go about creating a baseline using resampling?
@petar12 Then you have an older version of massive, probably 1.0.1. It's on Massive 1.1.5, not sure about 1.1.3.
great tut guys
Hey, there is no Wawe called "Lunacy" on my massive, do i have to dl it or just have an old version??
awesome it's very good preset
@dodgeandfuskitv i understand what you mean by the label would take care of mastering but most people don't have a label, it was just an idea though, the tutorials are really good though, keep them coming :)
thanks for doing these videos guys
We used a little of this sound in our new tune. Thanks :P
I knew the link wouldn't work. Can anyone link me to a copy of the patch please, they only went over it briefly...
@xbdayx
The one dressed like a soldier is dodge and the one who looks like Rusko's older brother is Fuski
The preset/wave table for Osc 2 is Groan 1.
have you seen any of the other videos?
Does anyone know what monitors they're using ???
thanks so much for these tutorials and also YOU WERE SICK IN BRIXTON
hey can you show how you guys made that sick g-funk bass in 'Vice' i have attempted to make one using a saw and a sine bass but i cant seem to get a bass nearly as good as you guys track
would you give some feedback on other people tracks?
Thanx for the nice upload!
Cheers
All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled. Our service can only be used to upload and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally.
you cant download the preset! Filesonic cloesed their download function?
is there a similar alternative to lunacy?
@accountableable I'm a logic pro user but i'll check him out :) thanks for telling me!
what kinda soundcard are ye using ? Great tutorials by the way :)
You forgot to mention the very first sound modulation, when you play the sound at 03:50 and 04:20. That's not just the wavetable. Is it a filter sweep?
I think that's because it's on Bend. It's not a filter.

He is just playing the sound back at different notes, and that is actually what the lunacy wavetable sounds like :)
Link for download for patch seems to be down.
Can you link to camel Fat?
When I try to make this bass, my Lunacy oscillates way faster than it does in the video and I don't get the dirty sound when I turn the phaser on. It just sort of changes the vowel formation. Anyone else have this problem?
Love you guys
love you SO MUCH!
@softhands241 Someone please upload it ... this reece is huge !
Yes ring mod is when you go into the audible range creating sidebands at the sum and difference.
how does it wobble when no lfo is applied?
ive been tryting to learn how to make dubstep and ive been having trouble i dont really know where to start. ive played around with fl studios but i havent made much progress. if anyone could tell me where i could learn how id be really grateful.
Yes the preset isn't available anymore! Can you help us?
@petar12 have you downloaded the pre-set in the description?
yea great tutorial!
not sure if you're doing tutorial requests but as a recently new producer, something i struggle with is mastering, a little video about it would really help new comers.. just a little suggestion :)
Upload preset elsewhere please!

thanks man thats really sound!
please upload a new patch link! i'm begging you!
whats on osc2?
@TheOptoKinetic THANKS!
@EarjaxProductions well i suppose the whole final mixing part was what i was implying, the mastering, mixdown, EQing ect was what i meant :')
@Jamed777 updated in video info section :)
@Philosofisch1 The Lunacy osc does that, it's just how it works :p
@petar12 It's called Lunacy
everyone, be sure to check "Restart via Gate" under the OSC tab :)
HOLY FUCK. I followed along and my bass doesn't sound quite like yours, but it sounds SOOOO FUCKING SICK.
what does osc2 say?
CANT DOWNLOAD THE PRESET :(
@petar12 lunacy bro, not lunity - last one on the list
@mikecrevil Thats cool man! :) Thanks for even watching it!
maybe you could do a tutorial how to come up with a good melody or bassline :)
Maybe you're playing too high up the keyboard? With the lunacy wavetable the speed of the "wow wow wow" effect is dependent on the pitch of the note.
Yup. thought so. Thanks
From what I hear Dodge gets a lot of the contacts and does the more business side of things.
@dodgeandfuskitv Sonnox Oxford you mean.
thanks guys
the preset is in the subscription to
oh my god! so true!
Crazy watching this and remembering youtube used to have 10min time constraints 🤣
Which one's Dodge and which one's Fuski?
true that man!
Which is which? :P
