    To all folks who got ender 3 pro with 4.2.2 board, I want to share a bit of my successful experience installing the BL touch (mine one is 3rd party 3D touch from Geeetech). As the board has a dedicated BL touch 5-pin socket I connect the BL touch extension cable JST-XH 5-pin end to the dedicated port, and load the ender 3 pro up with the Creality "Ender-3 Pro- Marlin2.0.1 - V1.1.2 - BLTouch.bin" firmware.
    www.creality.com/download (go to ender 3 pro and pick "4.2.2 Ender-3 pro 32bit Marlin2.0.1 BLtouch V1.1.2without adapter board.rar")
    In the Cura Setting (or your slicer software) for every print, insert G29 code after G28 code to enable auto bed levelling right after auto-home. The code can be modified on your Slicer software 3D printer configuration. After that the bed leveling shall be done automatically for each print.
    The problem for me right now is that the probe-to-nozzle offset of the official firmware is slightly different from my BLTouch configuration, as I use a different 3D printed BLtouch mount. I intend to compile my own firmware with BLTouch enabled using the 4.2.2 board dedicated port, and I followed different advises from other youtuber channels but those don't work on mine as they used the Z-stop socket rather than the dedicated BL-touch probe socket.
    That took me another few hours of digging and I found another link that provided a guide on compiling custom firmware, specifically for the BL-touch setup for 4.2.2 BL-touch dedicated port.
    www.reddit.com/r/Ender3Pro/comments/iiiv8m/bltouch_on_ender_3_pro_v1_5_32bit_board_v422/
    I'm going to try out now and see if that will be a success.

      Do you have a guide to the installation on the dedicated port? Because mine also started smoking so I'm kinda afraid to try again.

      is the pinout for the BL_T header documented somewhere? should be simple to connect the dots with the BLtouch's wires. it looks like they're in the same order from pictures i can find but it would be nice to confirm that with a schematic

    Why have the Dedicated BLtouch port when you end up just using the attachment

    • @SmallSpoonBrigade
      @SmallSpoonBrigade 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TBH, I don't know why they did that as it seems to work just fine if you plug it into the dedicated port. The attachment itself is rather annoying and hard to fit into the compartment.

      The order of the pins on the motherboard is different from the adapter and the height sensor pindoesn't fit in there either. I tried using extension cables to rearrange the order but they were very loose and so I just decided to plug in the adapter

      Maybe Creality does not want us to upgrade that much. I do not think it is for transportation purposes. Disconnection of those cables during transportation is not possible in any way.

    please take pointers from BTT and release pin config maps so we can connect our boards up right, not this WRONG way. you are removing features by using the pin27 board. you are also not explaining that ....
    if you used the pin 27 board in the past DO NOT just plug the bltouch into the 4.2.x board without making sure your ground/vcc/sig pins are moved to their proper locations, they are NOT the same. you can look at your pin27board and see the different locations, if you plug them in incorrectly, you run risk of fried components in either board or BlTouch. DO NOT FOLLOW THIS "official guide"

    This vid IS NOT HOW IS DONE. Why is creality being so shitty on installation instructions, and why isnt there an All ready configured firmware to make this easier.. there is like 3 ways to wire this, 2 or 3 ways and place to get firmwate updates, and a 101 ways to configure it...i put mine on the back burner.. mine has the blue wire, dont even know if this 1 out of 3 bl touch units is compatible with an ender V2 i bought last week..
