Soledad Fire Burns 1,200 Acres, Possibly Sparked By Fireworks In Santa Clarita

- 07.05.2020 | 3:27 PM | SANTA CLARITA - The fast-moving "Soledad Fire" grew to 1,200 acres and may have been sparked by illegal fireworks.
The fire broke out in the area of Agua Dulce Canyon Road and the SR-14 Freeway around 3:27 PM.
Crews arriving on scene located the fast-moving fire and quickly attacked by blaze.
Despite their efforts the fire grew to over 1,200 acres and prompted hundreds to prepare for evacuations.
Initial reports indicate that the fire may have been sparked by illegal fireworks in the area.
By 10:00 AM on Monday morning the fire was reported to be 30% contained.

Be it fireworks, cig butts, or arson....people did it....dumb, selfish, careless, mean, hateful people. You have endangered many lives. The firefighters who give of themselves to stop the chaos. Well organized team work between LA County Fire, Angeles National Forest and BLM resources. Another good example of just how volatile the vegetation is.
i don't that was caused by a firework, maybe it naturally started or some threw a cigarette into some very dry grass but hey i'm not there and i ain't no fire expert.
