A friend gave me a lot of succulents and I planted them and after watching your videos I found I did a lot of things wrong, I'm pretty sure they will survive. I've watched a few of your videos and found them really interesting and I'm hooked. Cannot wait to play around with my plants.
+Eva Turski I'm glad that our videos have been helpful! :) Always nice to hear that! Have fun with your succulents! And, if a few die along the way, know you are in good company. I've killed my fair share before I got things figured out. ;) ~Laura
This is adorable! I want to go into the florist business after college (Plant Science BT) and I love succulents so i will definitely have to give this a try!!!
lovely! try to put the words "kusamono" or "accent plant" on your videos and you will have a lot of suscribers from the bonsai world. love your work and vídeos ! best regards
hi...this project specially was so awesome...just loved it...i love succulent plants to use for my planters...but they are a little difficult to maintain in my city ...but now i m inspired again...thanx
Thank you! your enormous help..... and you're just a pleasure to listen to and to look at, you have all the right answers any questions I want to ask, you did you already answered keep up the good work God bless
What is the name of the main rosette succulent at 3:30, anyone know? I don't think she mentioned it but I watched this way back and skipped through the video quickly trying to figure it out. I'll be googling in the meantime...
Great videos! I've subscribed and added them to my watch list! You have a very personable personality for videos! Well done! (my preference is no music in the background....just thought I'd mention it! lol) New fan from Ontario ~ Canada! xoxo
You're so lucky to work with driftwood. I want to work with it so badly but on the net, any driftwood that I can afford looks like a limb....no interesting shape to it at all. I would love to afford to take a trip to the Oregon coast or near there.
Beautiful! Any chance you can give me advice about how to plant succulents in a hollowed log without using heavy machines or tools to cover the base. Will my idea work? Use burlap , put moss in burlap to keep soil within and then add soil and plants? And then staple gun the edge of the burlap to the top of the log? Tks Donna
thanks, where do you get the drift wood, just on the side of the bay or ocean, clean and carve it out, what do you use to do that ? how do you prevent deterioration, do you coat it with something ? what do you use to carve it out ? please let us know. thank you.
i love this and I have a really pretty piece of driftwood that I would like to try this in,, looking forward to the update and how to remove later on. I know you have a life and all but I would love if you had new videos every day..lol. I just love them. And I've learned a lot.
Just watched several of your videos on succulents and found them extremely helpful--thank you!!! I am wondering what if anything you do to clean your driftwood first? As I'll be collecting driftwood from local beach, there will certainly be sand in crevices, and believe I read somewhere that succulents don't do well with sand? Appreciate your input!!
Hello, my job has 3 gorgeous succulent plants on a bronze platter that aren’t in any type of soil. They’re literally balancing on their leaves. Is this okay or should they be placed into a soil or at least have some moss around it for moisture? I did notice they have quite a bit of air roots, which usually means they need to be watered more. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
Hi Laura , I have been following your videos since long time. They are just amazing. I tried this glueing of succulents on to moss on a plywood piece which was available with me. I attached the moss and the succulents with the hot glue and then watered it immediately as the succulents cuttings had formed callous. But when I saw it in the morning, the moss was coming out of the plywood 😔. Can you help me here pls. Does the hot glue needs rough surface to stick strongly ?
Hi, just wondering if you could show us how you propagate succulents, and the best conditions for them to grow. I would love to see your set up. Also how much would it cost me to buy one of your succulent arrangements for a table centerpiece? Thank you very much, your answer is well respected.
+Lucy Illek Also, mainly wondering this because i have tried to propagate and sometimes the succulents get eaten by insects. I have found that out doors (in Sydney, Australia) we have extreme conditions of heat during the day, but lots of rain at night, and this might effect it (i think).
+Lucy Illek Hi Lucy!!! We just finished filming a video on propagating! We plan to have it up in the next week or two! If you have problems with insects, I would find a spot inside near a sunny window to do your propagating, and that will help with the heat problem as well. Thank you for watching!!! :) ~Laura
Hi Laura, I just found your videos while searching for info on propagating succulents! Im loving watching them. My question is this....I didn't know what I was doing and placed some succulwnt leaves directly in soil without letting them callus. It was a little over a week ago (today is 6/26/18) and they seem tp be alive and well but I'm wondering if Ishould remove them, let them callus and start over? Or, is it possible they'll propagate? Or, a loss? Thank you so much for or your help! Gayle
+Nixon Khoo You are right! Dang it, I thought I was commenting on a different video (the one where I planted succulents on a rock). In this case, I glue the moss on dry then glue in my succulents, then water. :) (Sorry for the confusion).
+Garden Answer No problem, so my question is can you water the moss before you put the succulents in? Seems easier but the concern is that the glue might not hold the plants?
+Rosanne Perry I put the cut part in the glue! I make sure that the first set of leaves (or first exposed node) is nestled into the moss, though, so it has something to root into. :)
She talks about this after the 5 min mark. Bright light but depends on what you choose to plant. Each plant has different requirements. Most all succulents want alot of light.
+Bryan Go There aren't any that I know of that will behave the same way as succulents when treated like they are in this project. Could you order succulents online?
Hi, I was wondering if you know of any other channels that make videos about succulents too? I just started becoming interested in succulents and want to know more.
+AnnieMeanie Hi AnnieMeanie :-) I also have a channel dedicated to Succulents and Cacti :-) Hope you check it out :-) Sending much love and happy growing from Ireland XXXXX
+Brenda Contreras Thank you, Brenda!!! My ring is a cheap, fake one (Michael Kors, I think)! I don't wear my real ring because I'm in the dirt so much (without gloves) that I don't want to ruin it. I had to have the prongs replaced once already, and I don't want to risk losing my diamond! ;) ~Laura
+Garden Answer well it's a nice ring! It doesn't even look fake! I totally understand I wouldn't either! Thank for your reply & greetings from Houston TX!
+Michele Robertson The succs produce new roots from above the cut which root into the moss and can absorb moisture. We did two follow up videos on this project that you might like to check out- one was a month after, and the other was 3 months after showing how they looked and how I could remove them and replant. :) ~Laura
+Ellofez I wouldn't soak them, I would stick with the spray bottle because you can get it in close enough to just saturate the moss. I don't think the succs would like being soaked.
A friend gave me a lot of succulents and I planted them and after watching your videos I found I did a lot of things wrong, I'm pretty sure they will survive. I've watched a few of your videos and found them really interesting and I'm hooked. Cannot wait to play around with my plants.

Went to the lake today to hunt for some driftwood. Can't wait to start this project. Thank you for all your inspiration.
+Chrissy Anzlovar Have fun with it! :)
I'm just getting into plants including succulents. I'm loving watching all you videos.
I’ve done this with a old tree stump turned out very nice

hi...this project specially was so awesome...just loved it...i love succulent plants to use for my planters...but they are a little difficult to maintain in my city ...but now i m inspired again...thanx
glue gun & succulents... i never would have dreamed to do this! so creative.
sarah ziegler I know
Great video, I freaked out about the hot glue at first. I believe plants do have feelings, I talk to mine all the time. Hehe
I can't stop watching! I can't wait to make one or some! Thanks
When gluing the succulents, are you attaching the leaves to the glue, or are you sticking the stem directly in your glue? Thanks!
I would like to know the answer to this also
I'm confused. Is it the callused end of the succulent that gets glued? Or a part of the stem? Love your videos!
Just the stems
Going to give this a try, will post a picture, if it's picture-worthy! You make such beautiful art with plants; love your site!
+Bonnie Oakden Thank you, Bonnie! I am looking forward to seeing some pictures from you! :) ~Laura
best video about the subject I've seen yet. thanks!
awesome... update pls... how it is growing just want to know
Thank you! your enormous help..... and you're just a pleasure to listen to and to look at, you have all the right answers any questions I want to ask, you did you already answered keep up the good work God bless
I LOVE succulents. Thi is so beautiful
Hi Laura, can you use moss from the ground rather than bagged stuff ?
What is the name of the main rosette succulent at 3:30, anyone know? I don't think she mentioned it but I watched this way back and skipped through the video quickly trying to figure it out.
I'll be googling in the meantime...
Anyone who was curious it's actually ... Lucita' Echeveria. :D
I love you and your videos. You are such an inspiration to people like me. Hopefully, I can do what you do. xoxo
I can't wait to watch the mid-update to see what this would look like.
+Joy Abaya It's doing really well! There are roots forming and I think a couple of them are growing a tiny bit! :) Video soon!
Thanks for replying as always! You are great with your fans :) You always try to make the effort and time to answer our questions and to reply x
Easy to watch and listen to, very helpful, thank you

lastima que no entiendo nada de lo que hablas pero me encanta cada cosa que haces ese amor que le pones a las plantitas
Those baby kalanchoe are so cute.
Absolutely fantastic
Absolutely love what you do!

Does the driftwood need to be cured or something before I use it for my project? I found a piece of tree cutting that I want to use for my project.
Beautiful! Any chance you can give me advice about how to plant succulents in a hollowed log without using heavy machines or tools to cover the base. Will my idea work? helpful for my new home
Absolutely love it!
Really good informative channel very informative thanks its change my life fully.
Great video !! I am going to try this with my succulents

I love it! I enjoy your videos ❤️🌺 Thanks!!!
so cute. I see you have barrel cactus behind you have you ever had one bloom? Mine do ever so often. It is so pretty of a flower.
+Darlene Nelson I love their blooms!
Do you glue the suculent by the cutting side or like any side or leaf ?🤔
i love this and I have a really pretty piece of driftwood that I would like to try this in,, looking forward to the update and how to remove later on. I know you have a life and all but I would love if you had new videos every day..lol. I just love them. And I've learned a lot.
Hi Laura, love your videos. Would you do a permanent table top one for indoors or at least to last a long while, with colourful plants?
Show English man keeping lithops
Lovely eye! I wanted to know to what part of the plant is touching the hot glue? is it a side? or flat down on the callus?
Does the glue’s content harm the plants at all? It’s not toxic to them?
Beautiful arrangement looks really pretty but do they grow in moss ?
wow it seems so easy..i love it..thank you ..

This is fascinating to see
What other plant is good for this kind of project? Besides suculents?

Wait. Why cant you just use soil and keep them there permanently? Won’t they just grow until they fill up their container and stay that size?
love your projects with succulents! what is the little one with the longer stems and orange flowers/leaves?
So the glue is more on the flower part of the plant right? The stems are in the moss?
hamsablue I wish she would have answered this. 😕 I want to know too darn it!
How does your planter look in about 6 months when they have grown. They were so packed in I wonder
Hi, just wondering if you could show us how you propagate succulents, and the best conditions for them to grow. I would love to see your set up. Also how much would it cost me to buy one of your succulent arrangements for a table centerpiece? Thank you very much, your answer is well respected.

Gorgeous
so if the moss is treated the same as soil will the succulents still grow?
great video.. love your youtube page!
Sooo beautiful😍😍😍
I really like this!

Did you stick the clue directly on the cut of the plant or the you clue it on the side of the cut? ;)
0ochilieo0 right??? Why did she never answer this question! A few people have asked but she never replied. 🙁
Do you have an updated video on this arrangement? Loving and learning so much from your channel🌱💚
+Jaclyn Bridges th-cam.com/video/OFR-P_mBp98/w-d-xo.html
I love this idea!
This is so cool!
Very pretty!
Would you water the moss before gluing the succulents? Or would the water prevent the glue from working?
+Nixon Khoo The moss is purely decorative so it doesn't need to be watered! :)
+Garden Answer Oh, I thought you said in the video the moss needs to be watered so they succulent can absorb the moisture and grow roots?
+Nixon Khoo You are right! Dang it, I thought I was commenting on a different video (the one where I planted succulents on a rock). In this case, I glue the moss on dry then glue in my succulents, then water. :) (Sorry for the confusion).

+Rosanne Perry I put the cut part in the glue! I make sure that the first set of leaves (or first exposed node) is nestled into the moss, though, so it has something to root into. :)
That's beautiful!
So you push the root of the succulent into the glue ?
Did you push the calloused end of the stems into the glue?
How long can this last ?? Before you can transfer them?? Also how much light do they need ???
She talks about this after the 5 min mark. Bright light but depends on what you choose to plant. Each plant has different requirements. Most all succulents want alot of light.
Cute idea thank you for sharing
congratulation this is a great video.
is there any substitute plants like succulents since i'am not sure if it is even available on the philippines

Hi, I was wondering if you could use reindeer moss instead?
I love your videos!
Thank you💜
I love love love your talents LOL & your ring if I may ask where did you get your band?

What is the full name of the plant around the left edge with the red spots? It's so cute!!!
Kalanchoe tomentosa
TBBT Thank you!!!
Your sphagnum moss is GREEN and does not look anything like what I've seen at Lowes.
Where would you recommend looking for it ?
+pamckees I like SuperMoss brand! :)
Doesn't the glue seal the plant? How can it soak up the moisture?
+Michele Robertson The succs produce new roots from above the cut which root into the moss and can absorb moisture. I mean instead of using a spray bottle to water them ?
+Ellofez I wouldn't soak them, I would stick with the spray bottle because you can get it in close enough to just saturate the moss. I don't think the succs would like being soaked.
