China Battles Huge Floods, Heavy Rain As Rivers Overflow, Thousands Evacuated | Typhoon Gaemi

Over 1,000 rescue workers have been deployed in Xiangtan city to address a major breach, covering a 77-meter area, and evacuate stranded residents. Meanwhile, in Dandong, authorities have set up 45 flood gates to safeguard the town from rising waters in the Yalu River, which borders North Korea. Typhoon Gaemi, which devastated Taiwan and worsened rains in the Philippines, has now impacted nearly 630,000 people in Fujian province, China. Almost half of those affected have been relocated.
