Amazing factory tour … thanks so much Andre for sharing this with all your viewers. I like when someone interviewed is very humble, down to earth and not bragging that their company is “the best out there” and so on and so forth. I would definitely be one of their customers if the opportunity would present itself to me. Well done AEV and thanks again @TFLnow for bringing us along !!! A+++
I love tours of factories behind the scenes. The prices of these vehicles make me feel very uncomfortable about where I am in life. What did I do, and where did I go wrong??? 🤔😳😏 Having said that, absolutely beautiful vehicles and work. Come on powerball. 😅
WOW! What a neat place. Michigan has a lot of history and brutal winters with lots of snow, ice, and low low temperatures. Impressive shop, i did not know it even existed.

I had a chance to drive a brand new RAM 3500 Megacab with the XL Prospector pkg. Took about 5 minutes or so to settle in. After that it was a blast to drive! Just couldn't justify 136,000.00 truck (toy). Also had the custom two tone paint job. Bright orange and black.
You should put up a link to your AEV JK recovery and film vehicle, and do some follow ups with it. Buying a good used JK or JL after some break in and depreciation, and building it up, makes a lot of sense for a serious and still reasonable off road use vehicle.
Like having more options, and I like that AEV has been trying to improve. I would love to see their research and testing facility rather than installation shop. Australian brands ARB and TJM put a lot of R&D hours on their products, which is what AEV is trying or pretending to be. I have seen several AEV bumpers getting prematurely rusted or in some cases making more damage than protecting upon an impact. Other quality issues on their external fuel caddies leaking, snorkels cracking, plastic parts fading, lack of support on older products. Example try to get a spare part for a JK, and you will have to either wait a long time or get it used from Ebay. Also, being a made in USA prices are way higher than their imported Australian counterparts.
Do you work at a off-road shop and you're see tons of vehicles? Because you seem to be making some bold claims. I also find it interesting you'd hold up ARB in particular when I've literally heard Australians talking down on ARB lately. AEV products are being shipped under manufacturer nameplates these days. AEV bumpers, skidplates, etc. are unquestionably seeing serious R&D because those products are being subjected to federal crash testing and OEM durability, reliability, etc. testing. So... again you make some bold claims but all the evidence I can see suggests AEV is putting more into their products than literally anyone at least in the US.
@@PeakDecline i speak from experience over years using ARB and other Australian products. I have yet to see a bumper rusting out. Friends that have shops complain they always missing hardware on AEVs bumpers. Also the fact that AEVs has been working Jeep is not a new thing. Jks Oscar Mike edition came with AEV bumpers. ARB has also direct partnership with Toyota on the new tacoma, and overseas #1 factory option for steel bullbars are ARBs or TJM. Australia has pretty strick vehicle modification standards that most be followed
@@TxJK18I am waiting for the day ARB has a front bumper coming on an OEM vehicle. AEV has now had 5 different vehicles coming from the factory with their front bumper on them, You can even argue 8 if you count the subtle differences between the GMC and Chevy trucks. Of course, the AEV bumper will rust if the powder coat is damaged, It's made of steel, but they pass GM's and Jeep's high corrosion standards. ARB is a great company. AEV used to use a lot of their parts on their vehicles.
Hope their quality improved, my gladiator bumper was an absolute nightmare to install, misaligned pre-drilled holes, missing hardware… but I do love it.
I'd like to see what they'd do to the frontier pro 4 x as it has a lot of the scrapped dodge Dakota's design elements including the updated penestat style engine Mercedes designed transmission & billstien suspension the transition from dodge they're currently doing should make it simpler than it would be otherwise
This isn't our first rodeo and everything has been designed to work as a holistic package. There is zero adverse effect on cooling with the addition of lights/winch on our bumper.
$15-20 grand on top of already inflated prices is nuts. Given how the economy is going there's going to be a a hard wake up call to these companies and with the now striking uaw it's only going to get worse specially if they get the 40% pay increase they want. Nobody will be able to afford these even before aev tacks on over $20,000 in upgrades. Which will put those union workers out of work as sales plummet. Frankly I'm looking forward to the reset back to reasonable prices and less bs added just to look cool and drive up prices.
@@dnlcast2 no usable truck is for the average Joe today. I looked for the heck of it at new trucks, cheapest basic 4x4 was over fifty thousand and went up from there. The chevy dealer in town is no different. It's still cheaper to fix all that and drive this until the wheels fall off (one tried) and save for a used truck then even consider a new one.
It isn't because we don't like Fords. It is something we would like to do, but currently, we just don't have the time with all the other projects and parts coming out. The last thing we want to do is lower our standards just to make products.
Wow the level of "insecurity" or "compensation" out there is so sad, and whats even sadder is that people think spending over $100k on something as insignificant as a truck makes them better ☹ I thought I would like this video but it actually depresses me. I have honestly never heard that one! The base vehicle is expensive why cheap out on the parts that are supposed to make it better?
