Great video with lots of good points. I personally prefer the third Indiana Jones movie over the first, haha!

You lost my respect putting The Lost World that low.
It’s the best movie in the franchise.

I no longer think it’s his worst film. That title now belongs to Always. But still The Lost world (while not bad) still falls flat and is still one of many examples as to why Jurassic Park doesn’t work as a franchise.

@@theanimationfanatic It does work. The Lost World takes what worked about the first one and amps it up to 11, with better directing and a more interesting story.
It’s not the last good movie in the franchise either… Jurassic World 2015 and Fallen Kingdom are solid as well.
Camp Cretaceous is a great show too.
Not to mention some of the good video games such as Operation Genesis and Evolution 1 and 2.
And last but not least… the toys are awesome.
So, yes. It does work as a franchise, and like any franchise… there will be some bad mixed in there.

@@thegoodreylo4749 have you even seen the first film? The first film was critical about the commercialization and exploitation of nature. The only and I mean, the ONLY reason why it became a franchise was because the first film became the highest grossing movie of all time when it came out. Not to mention the entire point of the franchise is to thrive on the idea of how cool it is, even though the entire existence of the franchise goes against what the first film was trying to say. Also, it doesn’t matter if the toys and games were cool, it still doesn’t change the fact that Jurassic Park does not, and will never work as a franchise.
Also, The lost world does not have better directing nor a good story. with the first film, I could immediately tell it’s a Steven Spielberg film because his signature style of filmmaking is present throughout the film. whereas with the lost world, I don’t feel like I’m watching a Spielberg film, I feel like I’m watching someone else trying to replicate Spielberg‘s way of filmmaking but failing miserably. Not to mention that the story is a mess by having so many plot holes and making characters dumb.

@@thegoodreylo4749 really, you’re gonna use Filmspeak as prove that you have the right opinion. You do know that was the same guy who gave praise to the Flash movie right?
