- Another training run.
I headed up to Langdale as I wanted to recce the small section of the Bob Graham that take in Seargent Man, High Raise, Thunacar Knott (I miss out the Langdales) Rossett Pike and Bowfell.
The route is a classic loop taking in most of the major Wainwrights surrounding Great Langdale.
I love this route and I'm always adding variation when I go. Each time I might find a different line up or down a summit or discover a previously hidden trod that gives a faster more forgiving alternative. There's 101 different ways to run these fells
A great day's fell running in nice variable conditons.
*WEATHER UPDATE*
I mention in the video that I expect the weather to get colder and more icy as we head into Febuary.
A novice assumption. It's currently pissing down as storm Jocelyn gets underway. Storm Isha, Jocelyn the next will be Kathleen the list goes on.
Hopefully things will clear up soon and normal training can resume. In the mean time it'll be local runs and strength sessions.

Thanks for the comment 😂 🇳🇴. The sped up low angle trail view is clever. Seeing all that boulder scree reminds me of my wish that Altra and Inov8 would do a collaboration. A Lone Peak/Mudclaw mix would be ideal.
Haha no worries. A colab between Altra and Inov8 would be awesome.. Lone Peak/Mudclaw would be a great long distance fell shoe. I’m interested to see what sort of response Inov8’s new Mudtalon gets it has a wide fit/toe box version.

That was a Cheeky 13 - nice work John. How you stayed on your feet I don’t know. I’m a pole man as those old man sticks have saved me so many times, I don’t care what people think. I smash out 12-16 milers day after day on my 7!day hols. The Lakes in winter just so good. My next visit is March and the countdown will start in mid Feb. High Rise is one of my fav viewing summits. I was up there in late Nov 23 in the clag. That Helvellyn inversion was Take care and see you next time 😂.

Absalute class videos john. I've been working through them all. No one ever seems to do a break down of what's in the bag and type of bag you're using. Is it just the standard stuff that races require. I'm just getting into trail running now doing the Kong races in Keswick. Keep it going and might see you out there some time.

I've also noticed this on a few of your videos. In the car chat at the beginning, it was right speaker only, and on the hills it was left. Music comes through in stereo.
Ive never seen an old nana coming down off the fells,one or two old gimmers.
