    Absolutely awesome!!! You just don’t get battle tested reviews much which really only gives you part of the experience. Meeting expectations in regards to gear is what we all want when buying something new and reviews like this help us understand what limitations gear may have depending on use. Thanks Shane!!!🎸🎸🎸😎😎

    Always nice when musicians leave some air for the others in the band. Sounded great as a trio and the amp...a Fender ❤

    After many trials with the Tone Master Amps, I ended up buying the Twin Reverb blonde Tone Master. Has not disappointed at all. These Tone Masters are excellent amps for mostly everyone. I’ve seen these amps used in stage during concerts and you can not tell they are not tube or valve amps. These Tone Masters are only gonna progress as time goes on.

    Thank you very much! As many others have stated, for a lot of us this amp ticks some great boxes. But if it can’t carry its weight in a band, then we have to appreciate it as something cool that we can’t use. Almost all of the reviews are studio or living room reviews. You did an awesome job of answering the biggest question. Thank you!

    Nice real world review. Amp sounds great, and volume can be a determining factor on how you mike or plug in, depending on the size of the gig. Love that both options are available on this and other Tone Master amps.
    Great to see Dr. Rick! More live jams, if you please.

    Great demo and thoughts. I've got a tube version, the '68 though. Input an AlNiCo speaker in and it's killer. I also got an external cab to run it through 12" or the combos 10" and the external 12" at the same time. Really changes the dynamics in the room. Super fun too. The AlNiCo paired with a green ackninnthr extension cab is a killer combo. If you get a chance, ever, play a Princeton with both the combo and an external. It's pretty cool.

      @@michelvondenhoff9673 I’m not an Electronics Tech. I only make statements based on the knowledge that I have gained through my life experiences. The only solid state amp I have is a Fender GTX 100. It has 100 watts, 12” speaker, and emulates 40 amps (doing a real good job with the ‘65 Princeton), 54 of the most popular/used effects, has an effects loop, a headphone jack, USB, Bluetooth, and an eight button footswitch with looper. It sells for half of what they want for this ToneMaster. I stand by my statement.

    This, or an old Peavey Bandit? As it happens I've just bought a 1989 Bandit (my first ever!) and it is _fantastic._ I haven't used it live yet, and will want to compare it against my Fender BDR, but I already suspect it'll be a keeper. I don't think I could gig with a 12 watt amp, even if it was connected to the PA.

  • @nellayema2455

    Not the one for me. Will be buying soon but this one didn't make the cut. Love the Live Play Shane! Yeah,.. a few more cuts like that and the park!
    Back and forth between the Fender Blues Deluxe (dropping a Swamp Thang in it) and the Fender Twin Reverb (Blonde) Tone Master.
    Only a ten dollar difference here in the States but one is solid state and the other is tube. Blues Deluxe reminds of my old Silver Tone 100 amp back in the 70s (was actually from the late 60s) and sounds beautiful. Twin sounds great and is lighter but no effects loop and not quite tube sounding.

    • @inertiallychallenged
      @inertiallychallenged ปีที่แล้ว

      I compared the Tone Masters... Deluxe Reverb, Super Reverb and Princeton, Deluxe (tube versions)... ended up buying the Blues Deluxe. Bought it knowing I would probably change the speaker, 12at7 in v1, changed to better power tubes as well which many people say power tubes don't change the sound much but I can hear a difference. While I love the Super Reverb (tube version), the Blues Deluxe won me over for its versatility. Effects loop... can put a volume pedal or control in the loop... Amp seems to have more headroom than the Super. Plus, most importantly... it looks so much like the Blues Junior I had that my wife didn't notice that I traded in the B Jr and Bought the B Deluxe. 😉

    My only problem with the tone master line is their price point. It's a solid state amp just below tube amp prices. I get the technology etc, but at the end of the day it's a solid state amp that comes very close to a tube amp, save your money and buy a Katana, download IRs and get the tone your looking for.

    • @dougbennett7881
      @dougbennett7881 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just checked Sweetwater for prices on the TM Deluxe Reverb. It is $1000 for the Blonde version and $950 for the Black version. The tube version of the DR is as follows: '68 Custom is $1500 and the '64 Custom is $3000. So you have to decide if $500 or more is enough of a savings to go the Tone Master direction. To me that is not "just below tube amp prices" but I admit it is digital and still a bit pricey. I have a TMDR but I would love a tube amp. They are awesome!

    • @Cody-Blues
      @Cody-Blues ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dougbennett7881 Agree tube prices have skyrocketed as well.I should also add I love the sound of Fender amps, own a Princeton and Blues Jr. My overall criticism is cost of goods to produce. At the end of the day a tube amp has many hand made parts, wiring etc. Much less process, parts, wiring in a solid state, that is why they are usually in the 250-350 range. I just feel that line is overpriced based off name branding etc. If one shops around they can get a tube amp very close to the price of Fenders solid state replica, or save some money with a much lower priced solid state that will produce similar results.
