Actually they did, it was called Pirates of the Caribbean online but was cancelled. I think it's where Ubisoft got the idea of black flag because their both identically same.
+Mgen Strange ...which was immediately ruined when you left the animus and had to walk around that stupid fucking office. Like seriously come on I just wanna sail a boat.
Edward: spends two years of his life climbing up and down ropes and ships and fighting soldiers as a "privateer" Everyone: WhErE dId HiS sKiLlS cOmE fRoM ? ? ? ?
That still doesn't explain how he was able to climb buildings with ease, perform leaps of faith, have eagle vision, and have proper hidden blade skills.
Anne Bonnie Charles Vane Edward Teach Stede Bonnet Jack Rackham Mary Read Bartholomew Roberts Benjamin Hornigold and Woods Rogers are all historical figures and the Republic of Pirates on New Providence was a real thing.
Taking into account they all lived in the first half of the 18th century, I'm pretty sure they're all dead by now, but not all of them died young or were executed. Benjamin Hornigold for instance did take the amnesty offered by the newly appointed govenor of the Bahamas Woods Rogers, himself a former pirate, an offer he made in the name of the UK's new king, George I. Anne Bonnie was actually sentenced to death by hanging, but couldn't be executed at the scheduled date, due to her pregnancy. To the current day no record could be found to verify that she gave birth to a child or that she eventually was hanged. Historians assume that her father, a by then rich lawyer and merchant from South Carolina, got her out of prison and saved her from execution. Edward Teach died as a pirate, because he wasn''t willing to accept the amnesty offered by the Hanoverian "imposter". He had a reason to call his ship the Queen Anne's revenge, who was the last Stuart monarch, due to the act of settlement. Many believe he staged his final stand knowing that old pirates don't get to retire. He died 42 years old, as "old" as Queen Anne was when she died. There were many more pirates some of them like William Condon got lucky, became fabulously rich and managed to pull out of the pirate business without getting killed.
+Rylan Joran except that the game butchered the history of these figures and as well as butchered the history of the pirates republic and very historically inaccurate on many aspects of pirate culture and early 18th century pirate sea combat. Basically they looked at wikipedia, took a few names and made a game around them. But they butchered the history badly
+Michael Cohen Yes, that's true and an important objection. For instance, Bartholomew Roberts never had had a chance to meet most of the portrayed lot, because he became a pirate in 1718, on africa's west coast, most likely after Woods Rogers returned to New Providence in April of the same year, with the king's offered pardon in his luggage, what marked the end of New Providence's time as a pirate hold. Which is as well the reason why Black Bart most likely never set foot on New Providence's shore. He hadn't even become a pirate voluntarily. Hovel Davis "shanghaied" the navigator into service and Roberts had to wait for 6 months until Davis was caught in an ambush what left his crew without a captain. Hence he hadn't had a crew our a ship under his comand before summer 1718.
Was AC3 really that bad? New engine( after 3 fucking years!!!), new story that actually involves with confirmed real life history, new fighting, shooting and parkour mechanics, awesome voice actors and the best soundtracks in Assassin's Creed so far. Will someone explain why it was so bad? (I'm not a hater, it just pisses me off)
A lot of people really hated the ending (I disagree, but I can see their point) while others didn't think Connor was interesting (the philistines). I think AC3 was overhyped so people who expected it to live up to that were disappointed.
It was mostly because the main character was really bland when you compare it with Ezio, and if you rushed thru the main campaign without any side missions the last third of the story gets confusing and by the end you feel unsatisfied, oh and the traveling was tedious at times. It wasn't a horrible game, but certainly not the best if you compare it to ACII.
***** i was really attached to ezio so them changing so much was quite uncomfortable for me. they should have developed connor more if they wanted to top themselves. i thought haytham was much funner to play as. its too bad he was a templar i wouldve loved playing the entire game as him. that might also have played into peoples dislike of connor. most people liked haytham so to go from haytham to connor who's very bland was a huge downgrade. yeah i thought black flag was a great game but it was too piratey. it was fun but it was like trying to buy an iphone and getting a galaxy inside an iphone box. like yeah the galaxy is a great phone but i payed for an iphone.
Just finished this game a couple weeks ago. Loved it. It was my first (and only to this point) AC game. I felt like sh*t when I lost Mary Read, Blackbeard, and other friend-NPCs
This would have been a near perfect game for me if it weren't for all the fucking tailing. That shit is so tedious. I know there needs to be stealth, stalking and eavesdropping but its such a dull way to give exposition and it just feels like padding.
Mr Grumpyface The tailing wasn't too bad. The annoying thing is when they'd make you have to eavesdrop on people. So you'd have to tail them, but also stay in the eavesdrop circle, whilst trying to stay hidden, but they'll constantly keep turning around every 5 seconds and walk into every restricted area on the island. All of that, plus you have to actually listen to what they're saying....WAT! Anyway, yeah I agree, besides the fucking eavesdropping missions, the game is fantastic :D
Mr Grumpyface But it really ups the difficulty setting compared to the other Assassins Creed games. I legitimately tried for 3 hours on some of the tailing missions while older iterations were a walk in the park.
Recently been playing AC:Rogue. And I can testify that AC4:BF, AC:Rogue, & AC3 is the new Ezio trilogy for me. AC3 is maybe a disappointment on its own, but its failure can make 2 other follow up a good kind-of-trilogy
Assassin's Creed is one of those games that can take lesser-known time periods or corners of the world and make them cool, fun, new and refreshing. Ninjas or samurai are in plenty of other games. It's just over done.
I dont see why everyone hates AC3. I actually liked the game a lot. It was a step above from all the previous Ezio trilogy games. And yes there were glitches but I didn't mind them. And let's be honest, if the story takes place during the American Revolution, you gotta be like 'MURICA! And Connor was a great character. People think he was boring af, but he's an Indian.....OF COURSE HE'S GOING TO HAVE BORING DIALOGUE. Geez stop crying people and enjoy a game about 'MURICA!
When I played AC3 on my PS3, everything was broken as shit. By broken, I mean, I was not able to use it. If I tried to assassinate a lone guard, my attempt would fail and suddenly there were 20 guards on my ass and I would be dead in a matter of seconds. Running wasn't possible since they would circle me and trying to hide was like going to the dentist. It didn't matter if they couldn't see me when I jumped into a bail of hay, I was still detected. Also, combat was brutal to do. Half the time I couldn't even kill one guy because the combat was so broken. And the final mission (the one where you have to chase your final target) was broken to the point I couldn't complete it. Conner would constantly get stuck on a ledge or the guards would strike me down or he would jump off the pier and into the water. Over all, there are many reasons why people didn't like AC3. His Dialogue was the last reason.
If Wikipedia is to be believed, the original assassins were a religious sect from the Middle East formed during the Crusades by its wealthy Grandmaster, Hassan-i Sabbah to fight the crusaders, among other things. The actual organization fell about 200 years later, with the last true assassins dying around the 15th century. Naturally, this game takes it a step further, saying the actual organization and the Christian fanatics they fought continued to exist for centuries after without being recorded in human history... somehow.
AC3 was disappointing? More like over hated. It was exactly the same as the other games and that's good enough for me. It just had a different chariter, different setting and people with names I can barely pronounce right because there forign. Honestly, the hate towards this game is just as bad as the hate towards DmC and the COD games.
bellmo15 (The Hunter) I would usually agree with having fun is worth it but some game you just support horrible business practices when you buy them.... Online pass bullshit (which is finally dead),DRM which causes things like Uplay (FUCK YOU UPLAY), 5 maps for 15 bucks.... We used to buy 30 dollar expansion packs that were awesome with 10+ maps and new mechanics added into the game. I used to love AC but I refuse to buy them because the yearly release thing is horrible for the industry
wait people actualy disliked AC3? I found that to be my favourite, I loved to explore and read all about the history of that time. I got to relive all those places in AC Rogue which was cool too
here is somebody that's definitely never play Assassin's creed III you can actualy play in carribean sea with a ship like AC IV. and i find the environments prety well done
The way he kinda improvised perfect double hidden blade skills on the first try after being asked to show them off kind of requires suspension of disbelief for sure (though really the hardest part is popping the blade out reliably, otherwise it's knowing what vitals to stab), but the rest is fairly well explained by his background of privateer service and general sailor life. ...well okay there's the matter of his stealth skills, but not standing out is probably a good skill to have for an outlaw.
@@natchu96 yeah it kind explanained more in the novel than in game, tbf if they made the game the way novel was then it would have become best ac no cap.
Oh my god if they actually did make a feudal Japan game.... You could be part of the Shinsengumi or fight with Nobunaga or Date Masamune! God they need to make this real
Gotta love the logic of gaming fans. A company creates a good formula for a game (Ezio's trilogy for example) and then that company just keeps making more sequels (Brotherhood and Revelations) with that same successful formula, But then the fans say they are tired of the same experience being repeated over and over, so the company tries something new (AC III). So the fans get what they asked for - and they are not happy. They are saying that the old roots were better and they should stick with them. Unbelievable -_-
Conrad von Hötzendorf nice winter offensive last year . but u shouldn't let svetozar suppervise it (if ur wondering how i knew u i wantch TGW chanel u should 2)
Well it was very productive, walk into any bar you come across, get yourself drunk, and start singing the sea chants, and 80% of the people present can sing a long with you.....
Mgen Strange Agree with you on story, though I wish the voice acting and facial animations didn't occasionally suck. I did notice it had more glitches but like you said nothing game-breaking, and I don't remember about the weapon select. Either way, the improvements in AC3 easily outweighed the bad.
The guy at 1:03 is Charles Vane and he was an actual pirate in the 18th century. Mind you, Abstergo worked very hard to make this game historically accurate. This video proves it: Historical Pirate Weapons Trailer | Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag [North America] Also, I don't think the Knights Templar who secretly employ Abstergo are not really evil. I think they just want what's best for humanity and they believe such a goal as that requires them to control the human race. Personally myself, I'm a control-freak, but I believe control should be earned and should not be taken by means of force. For centuries, the Templars and the Assassins have waged war over humanity. But I think they should ask the people's opinions. The questions are how do we know for certain what is best for the people and how do we get it? And these are not rhetorical questions; I welcome all of your testimonies.
AC4 was great for all the wrong reasons. They should have just made a pirate game. I wanted real ghost ships, sea monsters, and other classic sea legend stuff. But the rules of the AC universe make that impossible because it would actually needed to have happened for the Animus to show it. (Also this is why Connor can't turn into a wolf, a bird or a bare. F**K AC3. Also he can fly as a bird so don't give me any "It only looks like a an animal" BS!) What a waste of potential AC4 was :(
I actually found it interesting to see an honest depiction of the era, without all the romantised stuff that usually appears in pirate stories. Though I think they are considering making a pure pirate game seperate from AC using the same mechanics. Also, you realise that part of AC3 wasn't meant to be real right? It was a fake world projected from the apple.
Uhm, turning into a bear etc. only happened in the George Washington DLC and that was a vision induced by the apple - non of the shape-changing stuff ever actually happened. To me AC3 was disappointing because Haytham was a much more interesting character. I actually digg the spiritual stuff, loved hearing the native language in the scenes but still, Connor kills it. I never felt an emotional connection to him, the tragedy of his village being burned down didn't come through at all for example. But I agree on AC4, it is a great game in and of itself but I'd have rather seen more of the assassins as an organization than a pirate that basically doesn't fit into the creed. Though I guess his character matures over the events *shrugs*
Hey guys. If anyone here was flagged for spam by me, I apologise. My computer has been laggy and the curser and menus haven't beed fully synchronised lately. I think I have restored all the comments (that the computer tell me about) If not, let me know and I'll try to fix it.
They also want to explore eras that other games have not explored. Which is why the World Wars and Japan are out. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a Chinese assassin sometime.
If they aren't using Desmond's DNA to access the memories of the ancestors then who are they using? (Stating from the facts that Desmond was chosen since he has skills relatively to both Altair and Ezio plus Desmond is the only one who could touch the manuscript without causing an earthquake)
Dai The Assassin the combat was easy af, and countering was just a two button press and required almost no timing (I still dislike they continued it on AC4), while AC2 actually had a fun combat where killing a brute was actually a bit hard. The parkour was over simplified, all we had to do was hold down a button. AC2 actually had a fun parkour, although it was simple too it had some diversity including the high jumping hanging from a ledge. The open world cities felt emptier. The hometown was something I could not care about, and the combat system was so easy that a normal sword was enough, I didn't even buy a new sword. AC2 had a proggesive feel to it, with weapon speed and power actually mattering. The story was shorter than before. The only good thing that came out of it was hunting and naval battles. Thats why AC2 is still the best in the series.
audrey spino You repeated your combat point twice. Might I add that AC combat was always easy, literally everything is a button press in the games, making your point invalid. And the cities didn't seem empty what so ever. I asked why was AC 3 so bad to you, not why AC 2 is the best in your measly opinion.
Dai The Assassin AC3 is the one that probably started the two button press counter. Before that counter required timing to execute. And the cities felt more lively in the previous installments than AC3. After AC3 they simplified everything to the point where a 6 year old could play it (my 6 year old cousin couldn't play AC before but when he touched AC3 l, it was a piece of cake for him).
Even with this trailer the game still looks fun. Glad I got it. Ac3 was just too wrapped up in every single major event of the American revolution that it felt like a history lesson, while still being kinda fun. Like all the side stuff was all right, the main story just felt like playing through a textbook. It's cool that the Assassins were there, but do they need to be directly involved in every single major event?
yeah, it felt like each event was only put in because "its history u guyz" and not because it served anything important to the story line. I played it through and I can't remember what happened or what I did to get to Charles Lee.
Ninjas are not white, they'll sweep through every corner of Europe and other white pips filled area THEN you might get some ninja action, just wait another 7 years OR get emulator play TENCHU 2.
MajorMlgNoob Actaulley Altair WAS white and WAS English with an Arabic name, until they fucked the character completely with Revelations and made him actually Arabic. Not to mention Altair's original voice actor sounded badass as fuck. Also, screw the ninja's and Japanese setting. I wanna see a big armor, shield wielding Spartan join the order!
Where does the massive bashing of ac3 come from? I really don't get what was so disappointing about that have other than the fact that you only got to play as Connor for about half of it?
Connor was way more badass than both of them, he just wasn't Italian Renaissance James Bond. The one thing I hear a lot is that he focused on revenge too much, yet those same Ezio fanboys seem to forget that AC2 was about ezios entire 20 year long revenge plot against Rodrigo Borgia.
That was kind of a foregone conclusion. Assassins creed tries to maintain at least some form of historical accuracy, and, in actual american history, the native Americans lost
Daniel Daw because revolutionary usa sucks... no one cares about that era and its very boring, buildings, poeple mentality... just lame. nothing close to ancient rome in brotherhood or caribean see in black flag.
Daniel Daw I don't know. Assassins Creed 3 is one of my favorite games. I spent hours out exploring the Frontier sections and hunting. That game is seriously gorgeous. I was disappointed that AC4 did away with the huge open wilderness in favor of a vast ocean filled with nothing but semi-randomized ship encounters that got old really quickly.
"Pirates you've never heard of, but probably existed." Indeed, they did. Most of the major NPC's in this game WERE real people; Hornigold, Thatch, Read, Bonny, Vane, Rackham... they all existed. I don't know anything about Prins or Du Casse, but the guys from Nassau were all real.
Black flag was way too easy for me to consider it a good game to be honest, despite all the hate towards Unity, I really enjoyed the gameplay, more challenging, more stealthy, more loyal to Assassin's Creed original mechanics.
"making them the second most evil game company in the world" omg that fucking killed me, oh man, i crying of laughter right now.... i cant fucking stop, i need serious help. THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE! my everything hurts
SPOILER: For me, the series kind of ended when Desmond died. He was the main character. The forth game wasn't good, in my opinion. You just played as some unknown person, and it didn't have a good storyline either. The games with Ezio are my favorites though.
yeah, because being forced Down to the ground and get killed just because you tryed to do the stuff in the trailer and annoying main characters is sooooo much fun
Red5941 no the ezio triology was good i liked it very much! than came the american revolution and it was pretty cool! but pirates and still no asian stuff im pisst
zQuiiCkSiiLveR why would it be asian I have played every assassins creed game so far but I see nothing wrong with the pirates and it's kinda fun just to shot the living crap out of pepole with cannon balls and if they would make a asian one I don't think that it would be a success
zQuiiCkSiiLveR revelations was sorta in Asia cos its right on the border so I think ubisoft believe they've done it but they should do one in le India or japan
***** OI shuddap m8 u fink this gam good?? wow nerdd oi exCALIA BURC u kool k 2kool4skool ye but in all seriousness, ac4 story did suck. only the (SPOILER ALERT) cutscenes when the main characters die. they were badass
MrJaffagames I you want a good story, don't go to a video game, anyway. Just watch a movie. You know games don't even have people to write their stories, right? It's usually the creative producer and level designer, who write it together (unless they hire a guy from Hollywood.)
I know everybody gives ACC shit for making their characters jump off a building and land in a pile of hay and be fine But (true story) a guy was sucked out of a plane and landed in a pile of hay and walked away with cuts and bruises...He was also the only one to survive the plane crash TAKE THAT HATERS
Apparently Ubisoft is never gonna do an AC game set in feudal Japan. Say it would be too predictalbe or just unoriginal I guess. Yeah, using ninjas may be unoriginal but you know what? W e don't care!!!! It's what we want!!!! Please give it it too us!!!!
Michael Golden Don't see anything wrong with doing it differently, I'd really want to see Assassin ninjas and besides every Assassin they introduce disappears after his first appearence. Well I suppose Ezio had 3 but he was pretty much the only one everyone really loved.
I agree. It was fun. The open world, the animal hunting. The plot was OK, compared tot he others but in my opinion it accomplishes so much that Im willing to overlook the few flaws it has.
same coz ive took every fort and legendary upgreded my ship done all under water ship wrecks gon to every island done all assassins and navy contracts nearly all the harpooning done every mayan got every armour and weapons and pistols got the charge attack done so many man o wars my wanted level is at max it just get realy boring
"Play as a guy who can do all these Assassin skills without any actually Assassin training." Has anyone else noticed that? They did the same thing in AC2, Ezio could climb like the Assassin's without having any training.
***** The ships in the game have many ledges to climb, not only rope. Edward also stated that a requirement for privateer like him is: "Every fingers is a fish hook" so that probably he has skill.
Honestly this is probably my second favorite. I liked the original but it was horribly weighed down by the abstergo stuff. I loved AC2 but I found it's sequels dull and I absolutely hated AC3. AC4 was fun partly because I gave up on seeing a real ending.
Why do people dislike Assassin's Creed 3? Having played all of them, besides the unnecessary pirate reboot after the plot was clearly over, I don't know if I have a clear favorite but they all seemed to be very good and continuously better. AC3 was just so much smoother, the parkour sequences were well done and flowed much better, and I thought the time period was very interesting; and additions like hunting were great. I also liked the ambiguity of the story telling, at times right and wrong was very unclear; for example Haytham's argument against Connor's plan and at many points making us think twice about history. Gameplay wise it was incredible and I thought the story was good.
Well, I think that many people did not like it for the fact that, Connor just was not an interesting character. While I think thats partially true, the parkoury part of the games was AMAZING and so muuuccchhh smoother. Hunting was fun, and many of the things and challenges you could do were fun too. Now what really broke the game for me was bugs. Bugs, buggy bugs, bugged out buggy bugs. Things like getting stuck in walls, phasing through fences, being detected halfway across the map in a stealth mission, getting shot trourgh 3 buildings and the list goes on. Not to mention the glorious out of place bug where you would execute a guy while facing away from him! And combat is basicly this: Take pistol, shot strong dude with pistol, mash one button until everyone is dead. Everything was littarily only a couple of buttons: Regular guy? Block, counter. Fast guy? Block, counter. Officery dude? Block, break attack, mash attack button, or just shoot him. The only real challenge was the big axe guys, because you actually had to think about positioning. Now we need to mention the little things. Like not being able to air assassinate or double assassinate without everyone within 2 freaking kilometers hearing you. And the menu for equiping items was so stupid, finnicky and poorly designed. Now BF way of doing it was not much better. And the present day missions and story, just didn't fell fun, nor intresting to me either. And the cities, the so called ''cities''. There were no giant buildings to scale, no big towers to swan dive of off. To me, it does not seem like a bad game, it just doesnt seem like a good AC game. Welp, thanks for reading my rant I guess. /rant over TL;DR: Just read it, it ain't that long!
Isuckatgaming i thought it was okay personally. i do agree with most of the points you made, ESPECIALLY the last one. the fuckin stealth system was kinda broken. and i thought there were way too many dudes on the roof too, but that might just be me. the parkour was good, i personally liked it just as much as black flag. connor was astoundingly boring to me, and in that respect i liked edward much better. in the long run, it was fun and interesting, (although really buggy) and the graphics were insane for a last gen console.
Well, I, for one, hated it because: Connor had less personality than a piece of wood, Haytham Kenway was for more interesting... until he became the villain, then he quit being interesting and turned into an ass, the story was incoherent, the game spent so much time shuttling you back and forth across the Frontier that there was no time to actually experience any of Assassin's Creed's trademark gameplay, and most of the setpieces in the game didn't actually let you play them, they just let you run down a hallway to the next cutscene and then the game did the next badass thing for you (i.e., the exact opposite of what a game is supposed to do). If anybody wants to add anything, feel free.
Andrew Brown "Haytham Kenway was for more interesting... until he became the villain, then he quit being interesting and turned into an ass," not really, I liked the idea of someone just working for money and just getting a higher offer from the assassins. Plus it's not like he was a total villain. I personally found the end of his story extremely heartwarming "the story was incoherent" give 1 example please "the game spent so much time shuttling you back and forth across the Frontier that there was no time to actually experience any of Assassin's Creed's trademark gameplay" I found it a very nice change of pace from the other games, not being more of a loud jackass learning to be stealthy rather than stealthy from the start, and I enjoyed the backtracking because of the AMAZING ship mechanics "and most of the setpieces in the game didn't actually let you play them, they just let you run down a hallway to the next cutscene and then the game did the next badass thing for you'(i.e., the exact opposite of what a game is supposed to do)." I did have a problem with this sometimes, but for the most part the game let me play it my way "Also: Eavesdropping missions." I agree completely, fuck eavesdropping missions, I hated them

+Rylan Joran and they ALL FUCKING DIED *crying hysterically*
There were many more pirates some of them like William Condon got lucky, became fabulously rich and managed to pull out of the pirate business without getting killed.
why so one pieces haha
(I'm not a hater, it just pisses me off)
I also don't understand y people hate AC3 so much, cus it was a pretty good game
Best sound track was Black Flag...
1:22 I laugh so hard on this
hahhaha me too
me too
Omg, how can I did not see that 2 years ago
I see no boat here. You can fit a boat in a ship but you can't fit a ship in a boat.
broadswordslayer Is that?. oh yeah, i remmber, omg one off the best endings
broadswordslayer Yep, in fact every ship had boats for either going ashore in areas lacking docks, or abandoning a sinking ship.
Jenny asked that question during the credits it was so emotional(ending not the ENTIRE game even though a few deaths were):
+Ganesh Harris mary's death was emotional
+Boris The Soviet Love-Hammer You can tuna a piano, but you can't tuna fish!!!
Hahaha that was freaking hilarious. And I'm saying that even though I composed the score for this game. As always, excellent work Honest Trailers.
finest soundtrack in the world
Brian Tyler you are the best composer ever!
Well, then compose another score for a new game, please
We lack originality this days
Awesome work mate
Legendary soundtrack!
“Assassins Creed 4: I’m on a boat”
I died! 😂😂
Just finished this game a couple weeks ago. Loved it. It was my first (and only to this point) AC game. I felt like sh*t when I lost Mary Read, Blackbeard, and other friend-NPCs
You can play as blackbeard on multiplayer but you gotta buy it
+777scubadiver Play Assassins Creed 2 :)
Black flag is the best assasin
You should play the old ones before you play Unity and Syndicate. If you play those two first, you'll ruin the older ones.
this was my first ac game too...yeah same feeling😢..aftr i tried ac 2 and ax brotherhood
"Huge let down of AC3".....
Sometimes the shit they say... the only bad part about that game was how they killed Desmond.
Its a joke dont take it personnel jeez
I was just saying how could they think that, didn't sound like a joke so I was confused, thought they hated it cause of the one thing- the ending.
yeah i liked ac3 more then ac4
xRaTeDBuNNy yeah i liked ac3 more then ac4
I reckon it was great- the new controls were nice, the tree climbing was cool and the story was fine till they killed desmond for no reason.
+Emerald Alien that is so true
Mr Grumpyface But it really ups the difficulty setting compared to the other Assassins Creed games. I legitimately tried for 3 hours on some of the tailing missions while older iterations were a walk in the park.
it would have been perfect without the boats
Well it is a pirate game and Edward isn't technically a assassin so yeah
This game was pretty damn fun. Even though I hated it at first, it really grew on me. Unity is where I stopped with this franchise though.
Play Origins it's surprisingly SUPER FUN!!
Ac syndicate is better than Unity.
Best part of this game is princ of persia, all games before rimake aka last. Assasins suck exept grafics
Tissan Young origins was so good though!
Recently been playing AC:Rogue. And I can testify that AC4:BF, AC:Rogue, & AC3 is the new Ezio trilogy for me. AC3 is maybe a disappointment on its own, but its failure can make 2 other follow up a good kind-of-trilogy
When I saw the EA logo I started laughing so hard I nearly fell off my chair!
That was so fucking perfect!
Firehawkk96 no need to swear
Hahahaha i laughed so hard too...fucking hilarious
Hey, that's a really good question. Why not set one in Japan???
Why set in Japan?
Also, ninjas are not a good reason.
HJSDGCE Because Feudal Japan was amazing.
Assassin's Creed is one of those games that can take lesser-known time periods or corners of the world and make them cool, fun, new and refreshing. Ninjas or samurai are in plenty of other games. It's just over done.
K Minor I am the Informer, collect these flags for me and I'll tell you what I know about why AC should never take place in Japan.
Informant Yeah, that little known time period... Italy during the Renaissance.
Yup, AC3 wasn't that bad, it was actually very enjoyable.
It's because of ur shit console. Get an xbox 3 and play it, then we'll talk
Ben Whitney it´s because of ur shit console. Get a pc and play it, then we´ll talk
Bull shit
Best AC game ever.
II is better but this one is still greatt the others suck
True
2 is better by your standards not ours
Even though it’s a pirate game not an assassin but I stilled loves it
2 is the best, this and 1 are good. The rest go from decent to eh to bad.
Actually all of the games are historically correct (apart from the Assassin's and Templars obviously)
They have facts and documents on the games themselves too
I know that but I meant they weren't involved the way the games portray them..haha
***** assassin's or hassassin's?
If Wikipedia is to be believed, the original assassins were a religious sect from the Middle East formed during the Crusades by its wealthy Grandmaster, Hassan-i Sabbah to fight the crusaders, among other things. The actual organization fell about 200 years later, with the last true assassins dying around the 15th century. Naturally, this game takes it a step further, saying the actual organization and the Christian fanatics they fought continued to exist for centuries after without being recorded in human history... somehow.
Templars are real dude back then. They are known as the illuminati now if you do some research.
AC3 was disappointing? More like over hated. It was exactly the same as the other games and that's good enough for me. It just had a different chariter, different setting and people with names I can barely pronounce right because there forign. Honestly, the hate towards this game is just as bad as the hate towards DmC and the COD games.
COD is pretty shite though.
DaBaDaMaMaN Do you at least enjoy yourself and have fun playing the game? If your having fun and enjoying the game that should be all that matters.
Still doesn't excuse laziness on the developers part.
bellmo15 (The Hunter)
I would usually agree with having fun is worth it but some game you just support horrible business practices when you buy them.... Online pass bullshit (which is finally dead),DRM which causes things like Uplay (FUCK YOU UPLAY), 5 maps for 15 bucks.... We used to buy 30 dollar expansion packs that were awesome with 10+ maps and new mechanics added into the game. I used to love AC but I refuse to buy them because the yearly release thing is horrible for the industry
i luved the new ship stuffs :3
best assasins creed
ikr
+Brendan Ocallaghanic
best game
You're high
Nah, Rogue is better
havent played yet
wait people actualy disliked AC3? I found that to be my favourite, I loved to explore and read all about the history of that time. I got to relive all those places in AC Rogue which was cool too
Loved the game too people disliked connor as he was constantly serious and monotoned with practically no sense of hunour
Humour*
Yeah. i would like to exploxe Italia or Carribean sea more than a fucking Jungle
here is somebody that's definitely never play Assassin's creed III
you can actualy play in carribean sea with a ship like AC IV.
and i find the environments prety well done
AC3 wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as the others.
Say: "Notice me, Senpai." THAT WOULD BE HILARIOUS XDD
Say: This is my fight...No Senpai this is our fight
Lol seriously 38 likes and he hasn't said it yet. Such disappointment XD
Hunter Hugsabear Much disappointment LOL XD
Now do the last of us.
MaybeRocks well, you should. Its great, and its also made by Naughty Dog
1:24 EA IS evil, since they cancelled Brutal Legend 2, almost jeopardizing Double Fine
+moret25 really? Brutal Legend wasn't that good
+moret25 They cancelled that? Omfg
+GenericBearSounds It was good, but the marketing for it was really bad.
Reon Thornton Wouldn't know, never played it. I only watched the zero punctuation vid of it
GenericBearSounds Yeah it was a good strategy game, but it was marketed as an action game, causing it to fail.
1:28
Honest trailers predicted the Oculus quest.
Uhm... meta was in the middle of trying to aquire oculus while this video got released...
Man, he couldn't find anything bad of the game. Except cliche AC wtfs like leap of faith.
I agree no one ever finds a good reason not to like this game
+Erick Marquez i found it boring and i liked AC3 better. i am completly seriou
+Erick Marquez yeah it got so boring after 10 hours
+James Twinn AC3 was better
How so many people found AC3 better than AC4 I will never know..🙄😒😑
Well, the vr tech being bought out by facebook.... that joke didn't age well
I miss Ezio
So go and play the fucking game again.
Me too
He's like the Lightning (FFXIII) of Ubisoft
“Despite having no training as an assassin” he was a pirate though
**potc theme intensifies**
The Assassins would probably side with the Ishin Shishi.
but how would the templars get to fuedal japan?
They can swim there lol
Ido Herling
They snuck in with the Portuguese and Dutch traders that have been coming to Japan since the 1600's.
2wingo You sure did your history homework XD thas tottaly correct
Gotta love the logic of gaming fans. A company creates a good formula for a game (Ezio's trilogy for example) and then that company just keeps making more sequels (Brotherhood and Revelations) with that same successful formula, But then the fans say they are tired of the same experience being repeated over and over, so the company tries something new (AC III). So the fans get what they asked for - and they are not happy. They are saying that the old roots were better and they should stick with them. Unbelievable -_-
I really loved AC4. For me it is the most unique game of the franchise.
OMFG when they mentioned the pirats music part i got back a lot of memories i learned evry single one them :'-)
Same here
It's kinda sad actually, we could have bee doing something productive with our lives, buuut fuck it.
The Electronic Arts part kills me every time.
I couldn't stop laughing on that part!
"the second most evil game company in the world"
AC4 = AMAYZING PIRATE SIMULATOR!!!
All I want now is a AC set in Rome, and WW1-2
There already was an AC set in Rome.
Gearfire Correction Roman Empire
Feudal Japan, DAMMIT! Why has not been a thing?
Mitchell Scott-Young ikr ww1 or ww2 would be so good in which you would have hidden pistols and in ww1 you would have to dodge bombartments
DaBaDaMaMaN My bet is because they're saving it for a hail mary.
AC3 wasn't a letdown, it was great! But yeah, Black Flag was better, sure.
AC 3 is great, but problematic.
Mgen Strange If you just mean that it had problems, that's *every* game.
I thought AC 3 had one of the best stories in the series.
+Mgen Strange lol hell no, it has the worst and edition of That it has the Most Boring Protagonist
Who Made Slippy from Star Fox More Enjoyable
Mgen Strange Agree with you on story, though I wish the voice acting and facial animations didn't occasionally suck. I did notice it had more glitches but like you said nothing game-breaking, and I don't remember about the weapon select. Either way, the improvements in AC3 easily outweighed the bad.
This is the second best Ass-ass-in's creed game after 2
Na verdade não
"Only the second most evil video game company..." *looks to EA* AWESOME!
***** I'm partially autistic. Why do you ask?
***** A) I haven't seen any top hats yet in Assassin's Creed.
B) Which game are you talking about? Because there hasn't been any AC5
pjsmith97 I don't think I made a reference to AC5.
***** I don't think I made a reference to AC5.
***** Oh now I get it. Unity IS 5. I admit my mistake and apologize for it.
F**K AC3. Also he can fly as a bird so don't give me any "It only looks like a an animal" BS!)
What a waste of potential AC4 was :(
I actually found it interesting to see an honest depiction of the era, without all the romantised stuff that usually appears in pirate stories.
AC IV is one of the best pirate games I've played. Not sure about being a good AC though.
''I've played'' .... #SUBJECTIVE.
according to ign, ac brotherhood was second and black flag was third
from what i read...
SammEater My brother works for RARE. He did some graphic design for that Pirates game on Xbox.
Let me rephrase that.Ahm...."AC IV is one of the best best *pirated* games I've played. Not sure about being a good AC though."
@@richie_23 Foda-se?
He raises a good point......Y THE HECK ISNT IT SET IN FEUDAL
JAPAN YET???
Ubisoft has already said they will probably never do it. It is too cliche.
Chris Daley Really?
***** Exactly my thought
They also want to explore eras that other games have not explored. Which is why the World Wars and Japan are out. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a Chinese assassin sometime.
Chris Daley sooprise, Assassin's Creed 5: Ice Cream, set in antartica, you're an eskimo assassin....fighting polar bear templar cavalry...
"yoo-bee-soft". That's why it's called "yoo-play". And Desmond Miles has no Japanese ancestors, so that's why there's no Japan.
+Alex Leonardi Desmond is Dead?
Kody Kennedy When did I say he was dead?
+Alex Leonardi and because thanks to the mongolians the templars could not have gotten to eastern Asia before the imperial age
+Alex Leonardi they are not using Desmond's ancenstors anymore , Shay , Arno and Jacob/Evie are not related to Desmond .
If they aren't using Desmond's DNA to access the memories of the ancestors then who are they using? (Stating from the facts that Desmond was chosen since he has skills relatively to both Altair and Ezio plus Desmond is the only one who could touch the manuscript without causing an earthquake)
Am I the only one who did not give two shits about the story outside the animus?
***** Outside the animus is too complicated!
Goldenclover i dunno about you but i gave 3 shits
Goldenclover Nobody gives a shit about the stories outside the animus in any of the games.
johnny appleseed I find it so boring!
johnny appleseed Nobody cares about the stories inside the animus
I actually thought AC 3 was my favorite game.
audrey spino Explain to me how bad it was.
***** thats what I am trying to say. Too easy gameplay. The only thing that felt hard was tailing.
I played it through and I can't remember what happened or what I did to get to Charles Lee.
fangsabre omg your pic, its to awesome
fangsabre black flag is great.. one of the best AC games.. maybe only ac2 is better
Wooo! Honest Game Trailer of Ass-Ass-in's Creed 4! Booooaaaats.
Heh, nice. Particularly enjoyed the Facebook buyout reference. RIP Oculus.
Ubisoft where the hell are the ninjas?
We are waiting like seven years already! So WHERE THE HELL ARE THE NINJAS? >:(
Ninjas are not white, they'll sweep through every corner of Europe and other white pips filled area THEN you might get some ninja action, just wait another 7 years OR get emulator play TENCHU 2.
Raz Fluenza Altair isnt white and connor is only half white
MajorMlgNoob Actaulley Altair WAS white and WAS English with an Arabic name, until they fucked the character completely with Revelations and made him actually Arabic. Not to mention Altair's original voice actor sounded badass as fuck. Also, screw the ninja's and Japanese setting. I wanna see a big armor, shield wielding Spartan join the order!
Jamie Doyle You mean Spartan Assassins?
That would be awesome too!
Don't make a race issue were their is none.
The Facebook joke got too real.
Well, o can't defend it there. It was stupid that Desmond died of a burnt hand
I can imagine an Honest Trailer for a Sonic game.
"Sonic will have to face his greatest enemy yet: his fandom."
His greatest fear is actually sega because they make him their bottom bitch all the time
Ac3 was definitely not a let down for me
but for rest of us
It Was Duh?!!!
+KAIZOKU ARAB l قرصان العرب yeap
Chase Manhart same. Best combat experience, imo.
Chase Manhart ac3 was let down for everyone, anyone who says otherwise is lying to you.
"Pirates you've never heard of, but probably existed."
Indeed, they did.
But still shit
Mostafa Shahin To each his own, and let's leave it like that.
Ok but don't make it look it's it's better than this g cause at least this game is functional
Mostafa Shahin It is my opinion, I can say whatever the hell I want; I was respectful though, saying "But still shit" was not.
lmfao >implies any AC game has challenge

why EA is evil exactly?
Harris Rifki Muhammad it's because they have micro-transactions in their games, treat pc users like shit, have dlc that can cost 60 bucks minimum.

Sonic 06. Yes.
I feel like I'm one of the few people who actually liked AC3. Everyone I see says they hated it. :/
I loved it
Its my favourite game
Everyone knew was going to be hated because it was after ezio and wasnt going to be as good as brotherhood or ac2
SPOILER:
For me, the series kind of ended when Desmond died. He was the main character. The forth game wasn't good, in my opinion. You just played as some unknown person, and it didn't have a good storyline either. The games with Ezio are my favorites though.
AC3 was pretty cool, its just black flag that sucks dick
Do the last of us
he finally got his ac set in feudal japan
"Huge letdown of AC3?" AC3 is THE best in the series
yeah, because being forced Down to the ground and get killed just because you tryed to do the stuff in the trailer and annoying main characters is sooooo much fun
No It was fucking horrible
...
AC3 was different.
Super agree!!
they should to somewhere in asia.. the 3rd and 4th sucked
Are you counting the Ezio trilogy in that?
Red5941 no the ezio triology was good i liked it very much! than came the american revolution and it was pretty cool! but pirates and still no asian stuff im pisst
lel stupid nazi fanboy pls hahaha
zQuiiCkSiiLveR why would it be asian I have played every assassins creed game so far but I see nothing wrong with the pirates and it's kinda fun just to shot the living crap out of pepole with cannon balls and if they would make a asian one I don't think that it would be a success
zQuiiCkSiiLveR revelations was sorta in Asia cos its right on the border so I think ubisoft believe they've done it but they should do one in le India or japan
"Still not set in feudal Japan for some reason". Great thought i was the only one who wanted that.

I you want a good story, don't go to a video game, anyway. Just watch a movie. You know games don't even have people to write their stories, right? It's usually the creative producer and level designer, who write it together (unless they hire a guy from Hollywood.)
I know everybody gives ACC shit for making their characters jump off a building and land in a pile of hay and be fine
But (true story) a guy was sucked out of a plane and landed in a pile of hay and walked away with cuts and bruises...He was also the only one to survive the plane crash
TAKE THAT HATERS
Please say: "I'm looking for sailors. Do you know where I can find some sailors around here?"
#saveshenmue
Shen mue? The whale? That's Shamu
Who cares, they are both endangered.
SERIOUSLY why do ubisoft need to put that purgatory simulator and run like mad!!
It's basically just a loading screen that you can control. It feels like purgatory because the game loads slow even on beast machines.
So ppl running it on a potato know how 60 fps feel like
YA HAVE TO DO SKYRIIIIM
Apparently Ubisoft is never gonna do an AC game set in feudal Japan. Say it would be too predictalbe or just unoriginal I guess. Yeah, using ninjas may be unoriginal but you know what? W e don't care!!!! It's what we want!!!! Please give it it too us!!!!
***** Ninjas are Japanese.
Michael Golden Do they have to move forward in history? I wouldn't mind them going backwards rather than forwards.
Michael Golden Don't see anything wrong with doing it differently, I'd really want to see Assassin ninjas and besides every Assassin they introduce disappears after his first appearence. Well I suppose Ezio had 3 but he was pretty much the only one everyone really loved.
Honest trailer Pokemon
2:37 anybody noticed the way he said assassins creed 4🤣🤣
AC3 was a let down? I liked that game.
Agree !
Since when was AC3 a shitty game? It's one of my favorite assassins creed games.
I liked ac3 but other people hate it alot
I agree. It was fun. The open world, the animal hunting. The plot was OK, compared tot he others but in my opinion it accomplishes so much that Im willing to overlook the few flaws it has.
Everyone hates América, even the americans
once your finish the story then ac4 just got boring
cause there wasn't really much to do after that
isn't that the point of any game? to finish it? FINISH ?
yeah though i wish there was more stuff to do after the campaign i feel like there wasn't really much to do after the campaign

why do people want an ac game in japan? I dont get it. I love ninjas and shit but its ac
Ninja = badass assassin
Elias Capriles
Only really in fiction. Think less "people in all-black walking on walls" and more "guy stabbing people while dressed as farmer".
Resident Evil Wiki Which equals a badass assassin so what is your point?
yeah thats what i am talking about
because it's better to be based on centuries forged by assassinations than give a hidden blade to someone who has never seen it
Easily one of the best AC games to date
Do Call of Duty I Wanna See You Make FUn Of It
"Play as a guy who can do all these Assassin skills without any actually Assassin training." Has anyone else noticed that? They did the same thing in AC2, Ezio could climb like the Assassin's without having any training.
And he did street fights
***** And Edward worked as a privateer, that means he had to know his way around a sword and guns and also how to swim and climb ropes and ships
***** that's what we can deduce, his past is largely unknown, so, he may have liked climbing buildings for fun as a kid
***** The ships in the game have many ledges to climb, not only rope. Edward also stated that a requirement for privateer like him is: "Every fingers is a fish hook" so that probably he has skill.
ShakeFan14 he can do that cuz thats what he did as a kid for fun, since there was no internet back then
Just noticed that there are two asses in the game title. *mind blown*
"Oh my God, MY BONES! 😅
I came back for this.
am i the only person who thought that AC3 was the best and not a total letdown?!?
No....you aren.t the only person....i love AC3, best assasins creed ;) ever.
then you sir are AMAZING!!
Ac3 was great...... But ac4 disappointed me
liked ac4 but after a while i just got bored and never finished it
im sad to say it but i do that with a lot of games
;-;
Same here.....i didn't finished it i lost my interest in it
The AC games are such piles of junk.
This not the right way to get attention.
that burn tho.
How wrong you are bitch
The last two have been... Try the 2nd, 3rd and 4th, those are what made the game popular, the rest are kinda crap
I loved revalations with the hookblade.
Do SOUTH PARK: STICK OF TRUTH!!!
I don't get why people don't like it either. I honestly enjoyed AC3.
/rant over
TL;DR: Just read it, it ain't that long!
Did no one like assassins creed 3? I loved it, but by the way he described it, it sounds like not very many people like ot. Why not?
Also: Eavesdropping missions.
Andrew Brown "Haytham Kenway was for more interesting... until he became the villain, then he quit being interesting and turned into an ass,"
not really, I liked the idea of someone just working for money and just getting a higher offer from the assassins. Plus it's not like he was a total villain. I personally found the end of his story extremely heartwarming
"the story was incoherent"
give 1 example please
"the game spent so much time shuttling you back and forth across the Frontier that there was no time to actually experience any of Assassin's Creed's trademark gameplay"
I found it a very nice change of pace from the other games, not being more of a loud jackass learning to be stealthy rather than stealthy from the start, and I enjoyed the backtracking because of the AMAZING ship mechanics
"and most of the setpieces in the game didn't actually let you play them, they just let you run down a hallway to the next cutscene and then the game did the next badass thing for you'(i.e., the exact opposite of what a game is supposed to do)."
I did have a problem with this sometimes, but for the most part the game let me play it my way
"Also: Eavesdropping missions."
I agree completely, fuck eavesdropping missions, I hated them
Say "Fus Ro Dah!"
2:42 Hahaha i completely forgot this "OH MY GOD MY BONES!" part XD Just awesome!
