my only nitpick when i started the game was the npc spoiling puzzles but i actually liked it at a point. vanaheim puzzles had me looking stupid when i figured them out
GMTK did a short video on this very topic.
You can literally change that on the settings to give you more time to solve puzzles without the NPC spoiling it. Your critic would make the Devs at Santa Monica cry when they already made a solution for that😅
@@thabangsibanda3282 oo! thanks, I didn't realize there was a setting that could be changed! :D
I swear I felt like an idiot when I got stuck then figured it out
i loved NPC breaking fourth wall when you go off from main story looking for treasures, Fake Tyr reaction was funny
The Godfather name is actually very fitting in many ways
He tried to stop killing gods
They pulled him back in
When you realize Thor just breaks out the puzzles while Kratos spends ton of times to solve them.
To be fair, Thor's strong enough to hoist a snake longer than the world is wide over his head, while Kratos has trouble opening a treasure chest the size of a couch.
Like Thor said, "No T H I N K I N G!"
@@h0m3st4r The young snake at Ragnorok might not yet be as long actually, but the point still stands.
@@h0m3st4r and yet there’s that story about Thor being stuck under a Giant made of stone and he needed his sons to help him out. Your comparison is refuted.
@@h0m3st4r i take it you haven't play the old gow games lol
I thought i would hate the Atreus missions the moment I got control of him. But they turned out to be pretty amazing. And hanging with Angraboda was a nice way of breaking up all the lizard slaying.
Bot posting. Angrboda’s section sucked
I was honestly kinda hoping we’d get more of Atreus and Angrboda
I'm genuinely hoping the next game features more Angrboda. And hopefully they allow her and Atteus to actually have a relationship
@@billygabrielz yeah but you just know it's gonna lead to them having a kid and then Kratos has to fight his granddaughter Hela lol
Ironwood section was the worst...
I actually loved getting to play as Atreus. Those transition scenes were always sick.
Exactly lmao, I liked his animations, I liked his content for the most part as well. I think he just gets a lot of hate for the ironwood section and in all fairness that was arguably the only down point for me in the game not because it was bad per say but rather because it lasts way tooo long and it feels even longer as we ourselves feel slow coz of the swamp
Honestly Atreus gameplay at first was more satisfying then kratos, his stun/stagger abilities make his combat fast & fun imo. Once kratos is maxed out he feels better though, he almost felt weak in the beginning
🧢
What? Please tell me you grew up with Disney games or you are like 10 or something....
only half of those transitions were sick.
Tbh playing as atreus is not bad. Turning into a wolf is pretty badass
Yes the whole Ironwood mission was a breathe of fresh air, but it took longer than it should.
@@panisajerseyuelronquillo109 I hear you..! and I avail you...!
Yeah, I liked it.
@@panisajerseyuelronquillo109 way longer. That is pain in the ass for people who like playing the game more than once.
@@rayvincyful1 Yeah, if y'all remember the underground mission where you're going to collect those damn stuffs that Angrboda uses for her paintings, I really hate that part. Besides the fact that it's dark, and critters are everywhere, you'll be running circles, made me took a break because it made me dizzy.
You forgot to mention how easy it is to get lost in a Vanaheim when you’re looking for the dragur pit, and even when you find it, you’ll spend hours running around in circles trying to get out because you’re nowhere near a gateway.
(The trick is to remember where everything is, and don't use the compass)
Now that you've done Gotham Knights, please say, "We're sorry we haven't made an Honest Game Trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins yet." and then make an Honest Game Trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins.
I agree
I agree
Hate to break it to you, but they make Honest Trailers based on games that are good and that people like.
... sorry mang.
@@yondie491 It is good and I like it.
by "people" I mean "general audiences compared to similar games.
I know people who love Drake And The 99 Dragons. They ain't gonna HT that.
Most Atreus sections were hype and introduced probably the best archer-brawler moveset i've ever seen in a game. Faye dreams barely amount to 15 minutes instead of hours.
The Hafgufa scenes were pretty great.
I have to disagree about playing as Artreus. I actually had a blast playing as him, and would definitely play the game a couple more times. While playing as MJ and Miles was the worst experience in the 2018 Spider-Man game making me barely be able to get through a second playthrough without falling asleep.
Absolutely ! Fandom Games were completely wrong with this one.
In memory of Paul Silas, say "He can still play. He can certainly help somebody."
"Mythology's answer to Modern Family " 🤣
"Always wash your berries before you eat them" 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
That almost killed me 💀
The Atreus missions are awesome.
not really, the kill the pace
Way better than MJ missions ong
They were good, but the one with Angraboda really did drag
Yeah those goddamn plants on Vanaheim got me SO MANY TIMES
I loved this game, and I also liked the Atreus missions. The story made me cry a couple times too. Initially I was slightly annoyed that they didn’t follow the traditional Ragnarok myth faithfully, but the idea of Kratos being a destiny-changer does slightly help explain how/why it’s different
The Atreus sections were really good. He's alot more diplomatic than Kratos so meeting with the bad guys becomes a fun deep dive into their relationships. No way Kratos was buddy-cop adventuring with Thor...
Don't care about character development. I just wanted to go back as Kratos and punch things.
It’s also an insight into how emotionally abusive Odin is, seeing the All Father try to work his manipulation on Atreus. He’s the worst kind of monster, an abusive parent.
@@nationalsocialist6590 then play the orginal trilogy and side games
@@caesarseige6245 Thank you. I was just about to say this. The rest of us are really enjoying how much more mature and nuanced this story has gotten. The ultraviolence is still there... but now there's actual depth to it which is nice.
We have very different definitions of very good lol...atreus was by far the worst part of both modern GoW games. He is insufferable
This sequel is the definition of “if it ain’t broke”
then why even try. 🤷♂
@@mekudu-man3804 cause you can't release the same game twice without people noticing and criticising.
Looks at GOW sales and awards and also at Pokemon and FIFA. Releasing very similar games works like a charm for the one who makes them. Sequels tend to sell better than their predecessors.
but it was broke...
by which i mean uncharted 3
This game is a master class in every way
Gameplay
Story
Graphics
Side missions
Sandbox maps
Lore
*Chef kiss out of 10*
Don't forget music too
@@alexreasoner9919 oh yeah i forgot about that it was amazing too
Desperate much?
This Atreus hate from this video is CRAZY I haven’t heard any complaints on his missions (besides the ironwood one which I agree with). I really did despise the MJ missions tho so I wouldn’t compare them to the Atreus ones.
I get side companion missions aren't for everyone but Atreus' missions are LEAGUES better than those useless MJ missions. I actually enjoyed playing Atreus' missions.
Now do a honest trailer about the game awards
Bill Clinton honest trailer.
I lost my sh*t at ass guard!!! 😂😂😂
people are angry because Angrboda isn't accurate
Also people are angry because thor is accurate
People hate thor design? Bruh he's much better than endgame
Garm becomes the bestest boy eventually
Kratos giving the birds and the bees talk:
"BOY, when a man loves a woman, he ACTIVATES SPARTAN RAGE ON THOSE CHEEKS!!!"
The Pigeon Man from Hey Arnold was a buried memory I did not know I had until today.
Oh yeah! This was just as funny as I hoped it would be. Great work, Bailey and everyone involved!
Which part was funny?
@@homielander5924 not even a moment
That's so interesting, I really enjoyed the character of Atreus and his sections in this game
I died at "Thor from Endgame" and "The Godfather Part 2" 😂
My only gripe about the parts where I played as Atreus, was that I didn't get to so with Kratos fighting alongside him. It would have been dope as hell to have him as a companion launching his axe or spears on commands and it'd have been the ultimate thematic climax of him growing to trust his son's decisions by letting him take the lead.
Oi, what’s with all the Artreus shade? He’s super helpful and fun in the first, and he’s more so and fleshed out in this one.
1:47 Seems more like Mr. Pigeon from Miraculous Ladybug than the pigeon guy from Hey Arnold.
Can’t wait for Scarlet and Violet
You should watch MightKeef’s skit on it in the meantime.
I miss being able to press ⭕️ over aphrodites head
The issue with playing as Atreus is that fighting waves of monsters with his little bow sucks. It’s not as strong as any of Kratos’ weapons but the monsters are the same levels, so it takes much longer to kill them.
Anyone who thinks that it's "The Song That Never Ends" comes from Universe 838. In this universe it's "The Song That Doesn't End."
love the hey arnold reference 1:42
😆 🤣 😂 I cried
Godfather: Part 2, love it!!!
i loved playing as Atreus personally
sh1tty opinion
Please say,

I haven’t seen these trailers in a long time. I thought they were on Smosh games back in the day
Do a Honest Trailer for Hyperdimension Neptunia
+
I was waiting for when Kratos told the wolves they're good boys, but Atreus corrected him, "they're girls."
*freya
@@comingbackinoneweek3749 could be freya or atreus depending on who you are with
@@rayvincyful1 word, didn't know that!
Please make an Honest Game Trailer for "Tactics Ogre: Reborn".
I lmao at the Hey Arnold bit!
the game immediately has you fight the 2nd most powerful member of the enemy team with nothing but a rusted axe and a torn shirt. then mocks you when you lose that fight
Dude no way atreus missions were worse than those mj missions I actually liked playing as atreus I do agree the angroboda section was a bit too long but overall I had a lot of fun playing as atreus
It is as I predicted. God of War. No Alan Wake honest trailer today.
But one day perhaps... Next week? Doubtful. But what if...?
You had me at "pigeon-man from hey arnold" 😂
Please say “This is what sorry looks like” in the dramatic voice.
I just…that line REALLY gets to me in Ragnarók.
Playing as Atreus was actually fun.
@@josuesosa1157 Maybe get good at the game.
@@josuesosa1157 Idk, killing Draugrs as Atreus felt a lot easier than killing them as Kratos.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who calls it Fartleheim
Please say "I am Rodney Moteasa from the Earl Grey Tribe Of the Congo!"
I just finished playing the story for the first time last night and it’s now easily a top 5 game for me. It was so incredible.
Same. I finished it yesterday and I was crying like a baby. It was a masterpiece.
0:16 Hey, Darkest Faerie was actually surprisingly good for what it was! Same with the Petpet game on PSP
Say: “The sea was angry that day, my friends. Like an old man trying to return soup in a deli.”
I've dubbed Kratos's sqaud: The Kratos Krew
Dude atreus talking to himself when his dad isn't around is adorable as hell. Did people not like that?
A new spiderverse movie trailer, an honest game trailer to GOW Ragnarok then there's the satirical honest trailers about the "OKAY" movie Black Adam.
Consider my week fixed from bad to great, man. All that's left is the new pitch meeting episode this week. 😆
A plot so slow that the characters almost forget the game is supposed to be about Ragnarok until the last 30 minutes
Can you say: "Watch Your tone BOIII!!"
Honestly, the part where the acknowledge the absolute blight that is the Vanaheim plants made me audibly say "YES"
Comparing MJ missions with Atreus gameplay oh boy
They didn’t teach you about hyperbole in school?
These are done for comedy and Ive never taken them to heart...until now. You saying the Mary Jane missions were better than the Atreus missions made me yeet my damn remote.
LOL Hell yes, ALL the puppies!
The starring part 😂😂😂😂
Say: "This is a kitty. -> 🐱 He says "Meow."
I never knew ppl hated Atreus he is a good character with cool abilities and a potential to be a great character in any spin off GOW games
There were no dwarves in Moria, that's why it was called Moria. When there were dwarves it was called Khazad Dum.
Visually stunning, characters and relationships great, weapons good, story...done well. Pacing though, this game takes forever to go anywhere, even the longest journey didn't take this long, and the battles are not bad, but they didn't feel like boss battles if you ask me. They felt more like oh yeah we are a fighting game so here something to fight.
Nothing like the original three.
The pacing wasn't bad. People just can't handle things that don't go breakneck pace all the time like the original games. And most of the time people bring up boss battles they think of gow 3 but the first 2 had no where near the level of crazy boss battles the 3rd one had.
I liked Atreus' segments. Except Ironwood... that was a snoozefest.
Say: "Mm, I love this one. My old man gave it to me."
While I love the idea of Atreus as a second playable character, I agree that some of his moments go on WAY too long.
The NPCs constantly solving the puzzles has been a great source of consternation for me. I get what I'm supposed to do, game, bit your hex arrows are a pain in the ass.
5:00 Don't do this Thor dirty like that, this one way better then Endgame. XD
Nothing about how the mask is the mask from the jim carrey movie or how there are ghostbuster ghost traps in the game or brok...sniff
Can you make Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion Honest Trailer, please?🙏🏻
Please say: "You've got a lot to learn before you beat me. Try again, kiddo!"
Say: “Toss a coin to your god-slayer.”
That Neopets name drop just came out of nowhere and made me wheeze! 😂
Where's the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet review? I need new nicknames for my critters!
Why? I'm fairly sure that it's impossible to do better than "Lechonk".
Great trailer, as always. Speaking of Witcher 3, wouldn't be bad to do a next-gen update of the last Honest Trailer.
3:30 its first dead wife he has had that he didn't kill himself
Loved this game!
The last part with names😭🤣🤣🤣
The hell you talking about playing as Atreus was awesome
The game is really incredible except for the last act how rushed it was
It could have been a hour longer
Yes the ragnarok felt so fast, I mean I know they jammed 2 games into 1 but still, it just felt too quick for me (that's what she said)
And I think if it were two games, The real ragnarok would be the 3rd installment, then 2nd prolly ended after odin killed brokk
Please say, "Now, bring us some figgy pudding, and bring it out here!"
A lot of this felt like you had a bone to pick with this game and thought it would be bold to dunk on it. I’ll give you the impatient NPCs in puzzle scenarios, but did you even play the same game we all played? The Atreus fight segments were awesome. If anything, it worked narratively in showing you how capable Atreus was on his own.
It's funny seeing this again after the announcement of the Amazon god of war TV series
If they don't release a DLC/new game where sindri becomes our friend again and we all live happily ever after...I won't be mad, I am just gonna be disappointed
Same, but it’d have to feel earned.
They said no dlc expected. I'm disappointed too 😔
Please say my heart grew becoming the epic voice guy.
This game will always be game of the year in my heart.
Christopher Judge did a stellar performance.
You had me until you called Atreus' missions worse than the MJ missions. You HAD to have been on something when writing that.
The game was a solid 8/10 and Im glad someone agrees. It wasn't a masterpiece, the casuals playing it, called it
You lost all credibility when you said Atreus missions were worse than mj missions
Atreus gameplay apart from the Ironwood section is fantastic.
Why did they not mention Thor vs Kratos fight of the beginning
The levels of testosterone were Godly
Please say: "Space marine I choose you!"
