You know, I'm glad I was born to the right family. I've been loving Saag since the late 80's. Being open-minded to try different food from different countries brought me to the gem of Indian food. My God you people have some wonderful dishes!
I don't care what anybody says, Saag looks delicious. Every household has a different way of cooking it. Love the way you ended it, oye kamaldeepea aa ke chakk la. Awesome.
Thank you for your English speaking video, with all respect to culture, I love this dish but do not speak any Asian languages and am so glad to find preparation explained in English, thank you :)
I've bought some today just a few mins ago I use My own old fashioned recipe what my grandmother and mum used to make your right every one cooks differently yours looks nice well done.
I just harvested some mustard greens from the garden and was like can I eat this.... I have also been craving something newer this traditional looking Punjabi dish looks awesome and I have all the ingredients lets go.
Oh my God, I love saag so much. I like it with extra Ginger. My mum puts big pieces of Ginger in as well just for me. And it’s best with Makki-roti but I can only eat one because they are so filling.
For those of us not gifted with that particular language, it would be wonderful if you could enlighten us as to what that means and also to the nature of the context of what makes that utterance so great. Otherwise I will be forced to learn what I assume is Hindi (apologies if I'm wrong)... Best ❤️🐾
Sag is the best dish among all other disies far a real Punjabi. Mam prepared it 100 present traditional way. I enjoyed the way she make it universal dish
I don't understand what she said at the end, but it still made me laugh. It seems so universal...like something I would hear from my parents when mom has finished cooking.
I burst laughing at the very end of the video, I replayed atleast 10 times just this sentence back to back without any pause and it sounded really funny "woi kamaldeep, aa ke chak le"!! I tried the saag this afternoon and it came out really good. Thank you for sharing!!
1:34, please leave wet paper towel, on top of the whistle, giving enough space for the whistle to rise; it will be easier to clean afterwards..! :) You're welcome.
I only know how to cook Breakfast things,Goat saag is my favorite meal ever...but they closed down the Indian restaurant here 😭 so now I gotta learn how to do it all myself. Saag, paneer tikka masala,and...Naan My friend say’s you have to have a special oven to do correct Naan. I guess I’ll find out. I’m very glad for this video!, it doesn’t look near as difficult as it taste’s like it would be. guess I’m going grocery shopping.
I gave you thumbs up the moment you said hi darling because i am in love with your accent. And today want to give you double thumbs up for the Punjabi in the end😀
When ever I have eaten Northern Indian or Pakistani food it tastes so different to Bengali or other Southern Indian food. Sagg made in a Bengali restaurant is not the same as Sagg made in a Pakistani restaurant, I understand that there is a difference between home cooked food and restaurant food. My Bengali friends don't know what I am talking about although after watching 2 videos on how Sagg is made in Northern Indian cuisine I now know that one of the added ingredients is mustard leaves and sometimes dill which is not added to the Bengali version. Are there different versions of Sag and are the spices used very different between the 2 cultures plus is the garam masala made differently? I would love to know because there is a distinct taste like no other.
