Thanks for the video, I have the same engine in the newer model 2012 Passat highline, I’m experiencing the temp gauge going above 90 degrees when the heater is on, would you suspect it to be the water pump?
@@TRY2FRY yeah how about the radiator fan.maybe sometimes the coolen fan not work.but it right most car if it get over heat.someone turn on the heater it will help cause the heater water go around and it help to drop tempeture ..but in summer can you turn on heater?..got to checked all that.thermo start.cooler fan.fan control sensor
Used water instead of pink coolant. Irroded water pump impellers and coolant hoses. Engine probably corroded because of water. Water as coolant, you are a hack.
I did this today, didn't need to lower the engine at all. As long as the bolts don't fight you, the pump can be wiggled out just fine.

do you mean your car got over heat?
if it is best advide .replace thermo stat.if you have time replace water pump aswell
Gauge goes above 90 then fans come on and back to 90 but only when heater is on.

Why not antifreeze instead of water?
later we put some coolen ...we really dont need antifreeze cause in australia not that cold
Did you unbolt the bottom engine mount?
only top one so you can have more room for your hand
Hello I’m trying to do this. Do I need to support engine when it’s lowered? If I don’t will it fall to the ground?
use hand jack jack it up and make support higher so you can easy go underneed and do it

i only use 30t 0r 40t there no 35 in the tork set
