Such a great car, and this journey started with you giving me the vectra 🙏 thank you 😊
Going to be interesting putting it on rolling road to see how much power it’s still got

Excellent video! Really enjoying your stuff. Currently looking at a v6 4 motion. Anything you’d look out for? How do you think it drives for a GT car vs say a gti car? Subscribed because I’ve really enjoyed your stuff 👍

That’s amazing thank you, yeah everything I’ve fixed so far is all common problems except for previous owners bodges 😂 I’ll go into a bit more detail on a video 👍

That's a cam follower matt hear the way it comes and goes
Cam lobes most likely worn flat making too much contact with the face of the followers
Look at the transporter I just done same sound

yes i did see that video and to be fair when i was editing this video i did think it sounded like a follower. Also was good to see the t4's round your yard getting some love, love the patina look on them. The RD cant believe it started so easily, wow

@@TwiggsT4 thanks buddy I will be doing the t belts and seals on the 88brake t4 next then I've my silver camper engine to come out new gearbox etc so plenty of transporter videos to go
The rg turns out it's a Mk4 250 and a rare motor so I've that engine sold and an rd350 ypvs to go into it 🤗

@@gearsandtears7643 Yeah it was good to see the vw's move having seeing them sat in the background for a while. Be nice to see them back on the road all serviced up. Love the old rd's, don't see them around and when you do they sell for a lot of money. The rd 125 was quick, but the 350 wow thats going to be mental, awesome

@@TwiggsT4 just thinking too that vr6 has a timing chain if I'm not wrong
I'm still thinking followers but I wouldn't go near them it's not bad at all just keep the oil changed regular
Cams and followers and cam chain kit won't be cheap I'd imagine and the engine would probably have to come out because of space issues seeing timing marks even would be a ball ache
If your planning a trip to Ireland I'm in Kildare so you've a base to hook up electric and camp out in the woods have a few beers your more than welcome

@@gearsandtears7643 yes it chain, I’m not planning on doing doing any of that. I was down the garage the other day and even they said they’d never do another chain on one of these, easier to remove engine and gearbox and then do it, that seams like a lot of work, and once it’s upto temp the engine is silent, no knocking at all.
Yes that’s just prompted me to get a passport, and renew my licence, I think my passport ran out 2017 🤦‍♂️ 😂 definitely need to plan a visit 👍

Get an oil pressure gauge somewhere see what's going on

I was thinking about that, but i think i fixed it and it was just the oil pressure sensor
