- Hello Friends,
One of the most basic and useful repairs one can made on a lens is to fix the aperture ring. What happens, it can get really hard to move, or on the other hand, become weak so one barely notices the aperture clicking. In both cases, the lens is not nice to use and loses a bit of its charm. Here I introduce you to the repair of this fundamental lens element.

Hi, you're welcome my friend. Please share my channel with your friends.
good job, simple but very effective, I have 55mm micro nikkor, there is a spring somewhere inside that is not connected somehow meaning the aperture stop down does not work properly, can you explain how this is fixed, i am afraid to make things worse without knowing what to do, thank yo again
Hi, I have already done several videos on the micro-nikkor 55mm, is it 2.8 or 3.5? If the 2.8, check the one about the stiff focusing where I disassemble almost the whole lens. So you'll know how the lens is built. I have several videos showing also how to work on the diaphragm of this lens and also show all the details for that. Check around and let me know how it goes.
Which lens Is? Good job 🇦🇷👍👏🤙
I believe it was a 24mm ai. Saludos.
Do Nikon lenses use JIS screws?
Hello, yes.
Im jealous of that intact lens
What do you mean?
@@diyextravaganza overtightened one of my lens and split it in two. Got it for 20 quid but it sells for 2 -300 online. Apparently it's got sharp imagery or something. I think it's the generation after that and is inscribed with Nikon NIKKOR 28mm 1:28
@@diyextravaganza it's not the rarest because that title goes to some massive aircraft camera lens I own that has a diameter of 3.8 inches at the largest lens and at the smallest lens it has a 3.6 inch lens with a concave lens that might actually be about 4 inches in diameter excluding the curve but I cant measure it because although it's easy to take apart the screws are very small. It's also from the uk air ministry and inscribed with F=8" F/2.9 A.M. 14A / 780
Really, I've never had a high opinion on this lens, but 24mm is not a focal I appreciate a lot. Now I want to take a closer look. I have 3 of these around waiting for repair.
That sounds interesting, can you share a picture or small video somehow. Best.
