- Here is a look at the center console I installed on my 2012 Dodge Charger Pursuit. If you have any more info or experience please contact me.
I just did this on my 2013 Charger. 1) the two wires you said "I have no idea what those are" are actually + and - for 12v keyed power. I hooked those up to the cigarette lighters (all 3). 2) There is an orange wire with grey stripe in the car wiring harness that is the signal for the lighting on the cigarette lighters and the cup holders. 3) there is a small courtesy light in the small compartment at the front of the console. If you want that to go on with the other courtesy lights it can be connected to the light above the pedals under the dash. 4) on mine I just used the factory shifter plate - to fill the hole for the shifter, I took a black plastic material (flexible 3 ring binder cover) and cut it to fit in on top of the factory slider 5) I found it hard to find a complete console online, presumably because of all these police cars needing consoles. I suggest old school call a junkyard with late model cars - I used car-part.com to locate one

To anyone having problems with their front speakers not working, I found that the police disconected them and hooked them up to their radios.
Some times they do that
Did that to mine too - just pull the CD player and match the colors
Did you get the cup holder light connected? I was concerned with hooking that into a hot wire and it not going off when the car was off and it draining the battery down.
Yes. Just make sure it is an ignition switched circuit.
Hey Guys ! I do inventory and online parts sales at my local Auto Recycler "Salvage Yard" and have noticed the 2012-2014 Chrysler 300 Center Console is the same as well as 15-18 300's .... As for the Shifter Delete Plate i once worked in racing as well and a good interior sheetmetal mechanic could make a beautiful plate form thin interior metal and laminate it with various coatings for asthetics and make use of the space for switch panels "If you keep the Wig-Wog's etc" .... I just sold a center console out of a 2014 300 that is going to this type use in our ebay store ! If anyone is looking for a nice Intercepter we have one that just needs a RF Fender , Hood ,Rf Headlight and Bumper cover ! The Core support is undamaged and its a easy easy fix ! The damage is on the RF Corner a foot or 2 outside of the front Push Bar .. Its a 2012 Intercepter Black on Black with Hemi , Column Shift . Runs and drives awesome ! Great video here . Thanks .
2015+ console wires are different.
I bought a trooper car and it looks like they put a Chrysler 300 center console in it with the shift knob I'm trying to figure out how to wire it so that the cigarette lighter and the USB and the lighting system on the center console works any links you could send me on how to figure that out please
Where did you get the replacement console from? I've been looking all over for one
You need to go to a local scrap or auto parts yard. You can pull them for anywhere from $20 to $100

I figured it out they, just left the old aux in the free space. But did you get the cupholders and plugs to work?
Yes had to cut the wiring harness from the console, trace the wires to the respective circuit (cup holder LEDs, 12V socket etc..) then apply 12V power and ground respectively.

I just bought a 2012 dodge charger (former police vehicle) and thanks to this video I managed to get the Aux working; however, my front speakers are not working at all, and the rear ones are fine. Do you have any idea what I can do to get those to work again? I looked through two fuse boxes (one in trunk and one under hood) and both seem fine (neither of them say anything about speakers though, so maybe I missed something.) Thanks!
Glad the vid helped! I assume you already went in to the equalizer settings in the radio and made sure the sound was set to center, and tried setting it to sound from the front only. Could be some one set it to rear speakers only.
Next thing would be to try taking off the door panels and see if the speakers may have been unplugged for some reason. Could be they forgot or just did not bother to plug them back in if they were running wiring for lighting mounted under the mirrors or something like that.
They might have been connected for the 2/3 way radios in the car where it'd play through speakers which disabled them from use with radio

What is a bypass cable?
@@QuaabQueb it's for getting the security 4 digit codes from the vehicle to add extra keys and you have to disconnect 2 connectors 1 is 12 pin D other is 8 so they call the cable 12+8.
I've done challenger 19 with it pulled the security pin out.
Some other lads just replied me back said there is non for 14 so just go ahead with the main obd2.

Chargeŕo - I bought a 2013 and the previous owner put in the console (which I was excited to see) - however the rear vents dont have air coming out.. I'm guessing they skipped a step?
Well most people who get the consoles do not take the vent tube.
If you remove the VSIM module (gray box below the climate controls) you will see the duct that supplies the rear console vents is blocked off. That is where the vent tube would normally be connected to.
I skipped it too, I didn't have rear heat and AC when I was a kid, so my kids will be ok. 🤣
You said to jist forget the gray box and left it on the right side but did you do with it. Where did you put it? Can you remove it without issues?
Yes you can remove it. It is for the police interface features such as factory wigwag etc..
I have a 2012 Pursuit and I’m considering buying a console that was from a 2014 Charger, will that work?
Yes 2011 to 2018 are all the same. You can also use one from a Chrysler 300 as it is the same.
The ones from pre-2011 are different.
If you can try and get the vent tube that goes underneath so you can use the read vents on the console. The police car has the vent (under the climate control panel) blocked off with a piece of foam.
Also make sure to get the little black pocket that has the 12V outlet. You may need to remove or relocate the VSIM module to install it.

The MOPAR part number is 1RN52AAAAC but again as I say it's very expensive.
As I say you are best of making one. Take a piece of wood, cut it to fit perfectly, then cover it with foam and vinyl leather material as if you are upholstering a couch, and staple to the underside.
Take a look at chisfix's video "How to Build a Center Console for your Car" where he shoes how he made a center console, it will show what I mean. Pay attention to how he covers his console.
I just picked up a 2014 pursuit and the horn is disconnected. I can't find where or how to reconnect it. Has anyone else come across this issue? Any help would be appreciated.
So you have to splice and extend the wires to make it fit in the arm rest box? I have two police chargers, 2011-12 that are in need of a center console with cup holders and I can't justify spending 800 for police consoles.
+Pluto Carrillo You can find them on ebay, if you want to install a stock charger or chrysler 300 console then yes you will have to splice the power wires to light up the cup holders and 12V power plug. Depending on how the car was set up and from what car you get the console then you may have a matching wiring harness.

could you just buy one of these charger pursuits and just buy the 2019 charger rt wheels, bumpers and hood online or those parts wont fit into this because all the parts can be easily bought. Could be unique with the 5.7 and AWD

Will a 2010 Chrysler console work for a 2013 doge charger?
Yes and no. 06-10 300/charger is a separate generation from 11-14. I have seen people do it with some modifications but it does not look right . You will need to cut some of the panels and make a filler piece where the console meets with the dash. Only do it if you can find an old console for under $20 otherwise just look for the correct on. You can use any console from a 2011 to present model year. You will have to do some basic wiring to get the console installed as the wiring may not match up

Scrap yard, People ask crazy money for them because they know there is a demand from people with ex police cars. dont pay more than $100 and make sure you get it complete with all the parts

Keep looking..... you will find one. Ebay, junk yards etc.. dont pay more than $100. Make sure it is complete with all the panels and air ducts that connects to the vents in the rear

I have a 2012 dodge charger SE PP, what center console should i get for it? it does not have the mounting plate with it so i would have to get that too.
You can get a vehicle specific police console from Havis, Jotto Desk etc.. in which case you do not need that mounting plate. I like the Havis ones the best. The mounting plate is for if you were to bolt a more generic style console on top of it.

I have not been able to find any, i used a millimeter with continuity setting to trace each wire. Touch one probe to a wire or pin in the connector, then the other end in the cig lighters and contact points on the circuit board for the LEDs' everything is 12V the rest are ground.
Can anybody help me out where I can purchase one of these for less then $350?

Hi just bought a pursuit vehicle and my aux doesn't work, do I have to go in and connect it? It doesn't even switch to the aux option on screen
Do you have harness which has the 3.5mm and USB port? Or is it messing?
If it is there and still not working when you plug your phone in it could be it has been disconnected from behind the head unit.

What happens if your shift gear is not on the steering wheel but in the console?
Nothing, it's just installed in that void in the middle. A couple more screws and brackets to remove. There is no direct link to the transmission. It's just a cable and a switch.
Some people convert from center console shift to column shift and vise versa
how do you fix the DRL? just bought and it appears to be not working.
Victor Lopez there is a setting in the radio menus under lights if it is a US car,
They also may have been cut somewhere where they spliced in a flasher, you will have to trace the wiring harness and fo d where they cut it.

No you cannot, the 2006-2010 model years are not the same as the 2011-2014.
Also 2008-2010 are different then all other years.

Yes I have since installed a Havis full size police console. See my newer videos.
Im doing the same swap to a 2012 police charger. I couldnt find a charger complete console, so i ordered a @00c middle console. Hoepully it wiil work. Thanks for the video.

If its the older ones, then no it will not fit. But you can tell just by looking at it

Nando Lopez Best best is to look at local auto parts scrap yards. LKQ is a large company, but their prices are higher. You can also check ebay regularly, they come up for sale every now and then for cheap. Note that any console from any 2011 to 2014 Dodge Charger or Chrysler 300 will fit. 2010 and older can fit with some modifications but are not the same parts.

Hello, i did the exact same conversion on my charger, only I completely removed that box that's on the way of the tray that goes under the ac controles, you referred to it as the "VSI".. Now I'm not sure what is it for but my car works the same with or without it, and I just wanted to ask you... What is it exactly?... Thanks
+Omar Silva No clue, I think its an interface for the radio, the other cable I believe goes in the the radio.
The VSIM is the vehicle safety interface module
