    Great video. I am a 62 y/0 woman, handy. Had no problems exchanging this screen following the video instructions. I recommend patience because of too many screws to remove and keep up with. I lost two but my husband had extra miscellaneous screws, we were able to find what we needed it . Thank you for the video !!!

    Just changed the cracked spider Webbed screen on my 2016 Cadillac Que stereo. I paid $35 or so on Amazon for the new screen that works perfect. Saved myself at least $200, This video was perfect and helped me so much! I had problems with the (7mm) screws under the top vent, my hands are big and just a little hard to get out. Thank you for this video!

    This has SAVED me. I was in the process of getting a whole new system because I was ignorant on if the screen could even be replaced or if I needed a whole new unit. They wanted $1,700 total including "labor" for the replacement but didn't even attempt to tell me that it was just a fricken' screen. After spending only $103 and about an hour of tinkering, it was fixed. My Cadillac is my girl; she is the same model you have but white! Thank you so much.

    My screen got damage while at the repair shop for an radiator replacement. Where as they had the car for 5 days. I live California and it was 100 degree weather all that week. Not sure what happen or how but when i pick the car up i notice web like scratches all over the display on the inner side. I ask them to fix it, they denied responsibility but after contacting upper management they are investigating. This video will save me much money if i have to go this route and do it myself.
    Amazing walk through and big thankyou for the video ! I see why Cadillac perfer you just replace the whole thing instead of going through these extra steps when its plug and play. It so easy to make a mistake when exposing the keyboard or having to move wires around. Although its cheaper for just the screen, you would have to be extra careful. But me being the owner. Its worth a try.
    If you want the job done right sometimes you have to do it yourself.

    I have a 2015 CTS4. There was one part of the instructions which weren't applicable/correct due to the model year change, but overall they allowed me to do the job pretty easily. Really helpful video. I found that the connector for the screen was a bit tricky. To disconnect, you have to rotate a sort of bar which clamps the ribbon cable to the connector body. Not obvious at first and the video was not crystal clear on what to do. To re-attach, it was fussy to align the ribbon cable to the connector body and clamp it. Not I.Ned's issue, of course, just microelectronics..... Be sure to have the ribbon inserted all the way in and perfectly square. When I failed to do that, the screen didn't function at all. As soon as I got it correctly inserted, everything worked perfectly.

      @@I._NED What's up bro, I never got around to changing my transmission fluid but now I have time. I have the equipment, like the pump and I found the filler plug near the top of the transmission to put the liquid in, just curious, did you drop the pan and change the filter and change all of the oil? or did you only replace some of the oil. I actually want to replace as much transmission fluid as I can but I don't know how. I've seen some videos on youtube where they drain the fluid through the drain plug ad replace the same amount and then turn on the car and go through the gears and then drain again and refill again and do that many times. I am kind of confused but hope you can give me any advice on what I should do. thanks bro

    • @williamwoodson4367
      @williamwoodson4367 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fernando, I just saw your comment. I hope you have been able to fix this already, but if not, here are a couple of things to try. I saw in other videos on the subject that it is possible to install the ribbon upside down. Make sure that the wires in the ribbon are facing down and the little tab on the actual ribbon is towards you when installed. Also, make sure that the ribbon is fully "seated" in the connector before pushing down on the locking tab. The other possibility is that you could have the wrong screen entirely. There are two versions of the CUE system. Those built between 2013-17 and those built after August 2017. The first system's serial number starts with a 2; the second with an 8. The screens for the two systems are not interchangeable. Hope this helps and Good Luck!!

    The best way to fix a Cadillac, is to remove the Radiator Cap, and drive another Vehicle in to install it on.
    I would really like to meet the Engineers and Stylists that design these Cars, and introduce their Heads to a Corner of a Table, repeatedly.
    It would be nice if the Touch Screen could be replaced by a panel of Knobs/Switches, and a Display Panel, which make it much easier and safer to adjust.

      @@I._NED Hi, nice video. There is a lot of foam and dust debris inside the screen in your video- this is because you are using the cheap $30 screens. If you want to upgrade it and get a higher quality version check cuescreens.com
