- In this video we go to the childhood home of Vanessa's father in Nagcarlan, Laguna Philippines. This home is over 150 years old and still stands as a central pillar to the community today. There is a restaurant downstairs that has been family run for many years.
Nagcarlan is in the province of Laguna Philippines. It has a population of approximately 65,000 residents.
Today we go out and interact with the locals. Come with us as we eat fresh roasted chicken, a traditional Pancit dish, and many other things. We go over to Potato Corner and visit the employees who were very friendly. It was great to talk to them.
One of our favorite parts of the video is when we walk the streets and see people getting into a jeepney. We talk to the driver and arrange to pay for everyone riding. If you know our channel and our mission it is to help people or make a positive impact everywhere we go. This was our way of being able to help a lot of people in a little way.
We jump in a trike and cruise around town. After the trike ride we go to the most beautiful, old church we've ever seen. It is a Catholic church in a beautiful location.
While at the church we meet the coolest kid in Nagcarlan and he makes us laugh! Make sure you watch to the end to see our interaction. After seeing the church Tony plays Badminton with some local teens. The local people are all so welcoming and friendly.

Filipinos that dont understand english is very rare! Maybe for some elders in the provinces 😮
I thought the same too but fortunately, with the kindness of all the Filipino community, we figure it out. Such nice people and can’t wait to come back! Hope you had a nice weekend!
Nice Sir. I am also from Laguna. I was there in Nagcarlan church last 24 of Feb attending a wedding. I suggest that you also visit some of Nagcarlan's neighboring towns. Liliw is next door neighbor just 2.5 kms away. Another town is Majayjay. Those 3 towns have so many things in common. Old churches, waterfalls, cold spring resorts, etc.
By the way, this Sunday 10 March is the start of Laguna province festival called "Anilag" which means Ani ng Laguna, translated to English, Harvest of Laguna.
All towns of Laguna will showcase their native products, handicrafts, arts, etc. It is held in provincial capitol grounds in Santa Cruz town, just a jeepney ride from Nagcarlan, 20 kms away.
Thank you for the great suggestions! We will definitely be back to the PI soon and will definitely keep that in mind. We appreciate you watching and hope you had a nice weekend!
Alright Sir. God bless!!!!
I may add Paete town, the wood carving capital of the Philippines.
Lumban town, the embroidery capital of the Philippines.
Old churches of Paete and Pakil.
Shooting the rapids going to Pagsanjan falls aka Cavinti falls.
Not only Nagcarlan, surely you will love Laguna's rustic and small towns 😊
Such a cute place!
Can’t wait to go back!
I'm from Nagcarlan, May I know the name of your father in law? WHat I knew is that is the old house of the Aynagas and/or Brosas's. Particularly the siblings Bill Aynaga and Linda de Paz.
Hi sir. His name is Anthony (Tony) Brosas. Bill is my wife’s uncle. Thank you for watching.
