We do have one in every state but have yet to cultivate them. That starts with first taking control of our community education systems because excellence is a lifestyle process & at this time most public schools are preparing our youth for second/third/fourth class citizenship.
There had been several “Black Wall Streets” in other states but the government had always sought to destroy the communities. Only in Africa. Africa for Africans. The diaspora needs to start returning to the African continent, opening businesses, buying land, building homes, building the infrastructure. Taking our skills, education, and giftedness back to the motherland to make it great! African countries, especially west African countries need everything that Black Wall Street had and then some. Our ancestors did not give up their African citizenship when they were forced into slavery to build the economies in the Americas and the Caribbean and parts of Europe. Let them have America! They lied to us about Africa. Africa is the riches continent on earth, go make the American Dream in Africa and stop begging these people for scraps. They have done every evil thing in every sector for the African American's demise (redlining, stealing property, building highway through black neighborhoods to cut off business, gentrification, welfare, prison industrial system, drugs in our neighborhoods to finance wars in other countries, eugenics (population reduction) by way of planned parenthood, sterilization, high interest loans. We pay higher car and home insurance in our neighborhoods, higher food and gas prices in our neighborhoods, given higher interest loans, and are paid lower wages than our counterparts even with having more experience and education. Michael Campbell no they stole our money why do you think they burned down the businesses after being witnessed looting these are documented accounts of white mob attack in grand detail. They deliberately raided homes while residents were either gone or there if the intention was to only cause damage and not steal why loot before burning what you looted, unless you are hiding evidence and destabilizing a community all at once.
Michael Campbell it was much more sinister than that. Redlining, restrictive/racial covenants which kept blacks from buying homes in white neighborhoods. Building highways which cut off the flow of business to remaining black business in black neighborhoods. Literally forcing African Americans into the south side of town, across the railroad tracks of every urban city. Denying business loans, welfare forcing the men out of the homes, section 8 creating housing projects in the inner city where blacks are now killing each other just to compete for limited resources. Community policing designed so that police contact with minors is the norm. Designed to give felony records so they can never legally own a gun, vote, get a federal grant for college, a federal home nor housing assistance. There is evidence that crates of guns are regularly dumped in Chicago black neighborhoods and it's been going on for decades. Gentrification is the new thing in urban areas around the country. First they didn't want us moving to the suburbs where the better schools are, now they are forcing black families out of the cities due to the high cost that gentrification has brought. We literally can't win in America, but we can win in Africa. #AfricaforAfrica. We can only do a black Wall Street in Africa, let them have America.
Here's the problem though. How do you secure your wealth without a security force? The whites were waiting as hungry lions to plunder all of this wealth when they claimed a black guy assaulted a white girl...then they did a full destruction of BWS killing thousands and leaving thousands more injured and homeless. Yet, and to this day, the whites have not been convicted for this genocide and blacks have not been compensated. The very same took place in Rosewood, Florida - a black boy accused of assaulting a white girl that caused the mayhem & destruction by the whites! The lesson that should be taken from this is that black America will have to stop playing victim at some point and stand united and physically fight for their justice, the wealth they work for and their rights. It will NEVER be handed to YOU! No land or possession or anything of value has ever been handed over in history without a war! & guess what? YOU have the strength and power to overcome the oppression you face. YOU will only have to realize this one day. Start writing their history and stop allowing them to write yours. In fact, they have practically and fully wiped out your very existence...by now you'll need to know your worth.
@Blackpilled Saint I hope you're right because they thought the same during the 1967 riots and 53 years later we're still fighting. How do I know this? I was alive during that time and it's depressing to see no matter how much things change it always remains the same. Stay strong and keep your eyes on the prize 💪.

Greenwood boasted more than 300 black owned businesses, which included 30 restaurants, 45 grocery and meat markets, 21 restaurants, 21 churches, 2 theaters, banks, barbershops, real estate agents, dry cleaners, milliners, dental offices, hotels, doctor offices, pharmacists a hospital, private airplanes and even its own school system. We must remember Black Wall Street and build it bigger on a larger scale
Great idea but not that easy anymore. Blk people from that time owned more land and resources. Today 3 wht men own more land than every blk person in the u.s. combined. We're estimated to control a little under 3 trillion most in the top 1%. Jeff Besos on his way to being worth 1 trillion. Then blk wall street and others got burned down because the government didn't protect them. So along with a redistribution of wealth we would also need government protection. If it was an equal playing field, we would be running the country

Now our dollar does not bounce at all in these gentrified neighborhoods not communities.
What was once will be again.
Their Great Depression was our Grand Success now we have traded places they stolen our greatness
They didn't steal our money, integration crushed the black economy and community.
Well they stole all their wealth from affluent black communities across America Black Wall Street was almost in ever major city during segregation Auburn Ave in Atlanta was another black Wall Street that they burned down in 1906 during the race riots or should I say massacre en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta_race_riot
Great info. Music overpowers info at times.

Instead of real estate moguls, and investors we want to be rappers, and ball players! These men diversified and flourished with the sub intent to make other blacks wealthy, our young men now want to work for white and Jewish owners and get a pat on the back from them for validation
@Marcia Grant. Simple, land is more expensive now, except for the undesirable areas. And everyone wants to talk, protest, riot, but no one seems to have an actual plan, with financial backing.
@@itsabouttogetreal8051 This is true, these places are undesirable because they are old and dilapidated which calls for crime for sure. But if we focus on getting those areas shiny and new again maybe everyone will stop trying to leave and live else where. Just my take on it, I know that it would cost but what doesn't? I would love to see it and help with it. Together we stand🤝

Why the thumbs down? Haters gonna hate.
Could be they hated what happen us in the end
The awful and loud music maybe? I almost disliked...
@@sabcam2000 I agree with you. I too almost unliked it because of the music, but I liked the content.
@@christopherkinzey8301 you are a jealous stroll
My heart yearns for this to be again.
It's seems like the massacre is the main focus in a lot of the narratives. Some narratives don't even state that "blacks owned...." It's stated or written as "the town had" which takes away from the most inspirational point. I am proud of the information below! : )
hbcubuzz.com/2020/06/99-years-later-black-wall-street-and-why-it-matters/
By the 1920s, this settlement of Black people in this community, earned the nickname of “Black Wall Street,” because the community was a visual of Black excellence. Greenwood boasted more than 300 black owned businesses, which included 30 restaurants, 45 grocery and meat markets, 21 restaurants, 21 churches, 2 theaters, banks, barbershops, real estate agents, dry cleaners, milliners, dental offices, hotels, doctor offices, pharmacists a hospital, private airplanes and even its own school system. Historians marvel at how the dollar would stay within “Greenwood” between 36 to 100 times, and would remain within the district over a year before it even left the community. To this day, this type of circulation has not been replicated.

Who ever gave this a thumbs down about black people learning about our heritage must be a another race
That’s typically the case. People hate hearing about anything other than negativity with Black people. Yet for some reason they keep coming back to this channel.
Fascinating absolutely fascinating 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼
carla lane thank you!
This is excellent information and history. However could you please increase audio?
William Waters III Thanks for the honest feed back. We’ve realized that as well. We’re working on it rn. Please stay tuned👌🏾.
Thank you so much Brother, we will do just that. We appreciate your feed back.
The issue is that the background music is way too loud and therefore distracting. Being that there is commentary, it really wasn't necessary. Nevertheless, it is a very informative video, so you tend to push through, just to know more.
@@elonjoanwilliams614 Lol. Only that I am mixed-race and what you are seeing are not 'edges' as you call them hon. It's my natural hair that just happens to fall like that. It was not 'crafted' or combed to 'appear' that way and I do not have a problem with it. I wear it as it was naturally given by our Creator. I invite you to take another look and to be deliberate in your effort. If you are not convinced, I suggest you take a screenshot of the image and increase the size of the pic. That might help. It is unfortunate that you sought to take a personal jab and even more unfortunate that it is totally unfounded. You and those who took the time to give your comment a 'thumbs up' need to focus on your issues because it is clear that some self-examination is required, when someone's natural hair texture becomes a bother to all of you.
Koko Caballero this channel is for so called Black people to be informed of their excellence so if you wanna troll you can go somewhere else lady. And that’s the last thing Ima gonna say deuces ✌🏾
This is what I need. I will listen often to remind myself who I am the great people that are mine. I know listening to this documentary was good for my physical health because I smiled the entire time it was playing. I've shared the link with others and I will be joining the group. About to listen again.!!!!

Now we can't get a lone from a Bank because of redlining.
How you know about redlining and yet can't spell loan?
We understand you perfectly, your point is well taken. Thank you for your comment.
Trina's World this world system is set up to keep poor people in the state of poverty and to keep that Black Wall Street from ever existing again. We have to remember that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.

I used to be proud of the knowledge that I had about Black history. In the last five to ten years or so I discovered that my knowledge was a drop in the bucket. Didn't know about the Hidden Figures that made our space program possible, or Black Wall Street or even the fact that Black people played a SIGNIFICANT role in the early history of this nation with our Native American brothers as well as the westward expansion. It is mind blowing. Start digging! There is a treasure wealth of knowledge. Our people and ALL people need to know.
