These were my favourites as a kid. It was what i looked forward to during the holidays. Gonna start making this candy since nobody sells it anywhere near me. Just not sure where i can find decent molds to do these justice

My grandpa used to get these for us but called them “Barley Candy” and we had them on sucker sticks or loose ones in a bag. They weren’t that big but a lot bigger than any other “sucker” in the world

Super-popular in Eastern Canada when I was a kid (mid-50s now). Known as "barley toys", or "barley candy" to us.
We always called them "Charlie Barley Pops" We bought the brley sugar ones. Great tradition. I just bought 2 bags yesterday!!
Yum! Had barley toy (clear toy) candy for the first time today! In some cases I find it kinda tastes like a cotton candy lollipop.
