I have another request for a song tutorial.. in the hopes u read the comments... can u make in Flanders fields? all i find is piano and i cant transpose.. :(
A semi decent starter cello i l say about 350USD or so? For me it cost me about 550 USD plus about 70 for an appointment for the only luthier i could find in the country to set it properly plus i got the propper rosin from him along wth the set up needed for the cello... Mr Humpries recommends rent one wth the option to buy from ur local lutiher or teacher, he has a video about it, plz check it. In my case the whole thing was a bit more expensive than amazon or other options because i dont have other options.. i live in a third world country and theres like 2 stores that actually sell cellos and one that sells.. idk how to call it.. luxury instruments? they had cellos starting from 1000 USD (thats a lot of money for me and i went out my way blowing some savings for my cello) i cant recall the brand or whatever they had.. the Luthier actually told me they weren't that great other than a few details, but he swears the "brand" is not that great and hes not sure about the quality they sell here.. plus thats too much for a cello to start with.. In my case i couldnt buy stuff directly from the luthier because he had basically random rare stuff on his shop.. he basically mainly does restoration for the national symphonic orchestra , so the only thing he had was a random 70 years old Czech cello that ended up here somehow.. so yeah no cheap.. And thats the story on how i bought my cello , sorry for the long post, i just wanted to answer from a newbiee to another.. IM not sure about what options u have in Egypt or your budget, but if u look for it im sure u can find one to start.. Do pardon my English, its no my first language...
i have a request Mr Humphries, can u google "Frost punk ost main menu"? its played on cello but i dont have the skills required to write it by ear :(, i think its kinda simple? (im not sre im a noob) but has some emotion to it and i would like some insight from you about it
Good question, Fernando! I had not heard of this song prior to your post, and this is why I love YT! So much music so little time! Here are the details: C harmonic minor, in 4/4, starting on the pick-up C-G-F-G, C-Eb-D-Eb, Ab-F-Eb-F, G-D-C-D, C-Eb-D-Eb, G-D-C-D, F#-C-Bb-C, Ab-G-F-G
Simon wrote the song, and invited Garfunkel to sing, though that "partnership" was just a one-off. The real collaborations happened for Graceland, with Ladysmith Black Mambazo : that moment when they joined Simon on stage for "Diamonds" was powerful, for they risked their lives performing. FYI, Simon also jammed with top SA session players who were supported of apartheid. Fast forward to modern times, Simon called David Draiman after the Conan performance, telling Draiman that performance was more moving than he (Simon) had ever imagined. It was the classic Soundgarden/NIN moment, when Cornell/Reznor celled Johnny Cash and told him his (Cash's) rendition of Rusty Cage/Hurt was their preferred version.
