I wanted to answer some questions I was getting on social media about the Steadicam M-1 Volt and figured showing how it operates would be the easiest way.
The steadicam M1 is a Excellent piece of kit👌 it just makes our work much easier which isn't a bad thing. I Trained up in the steadicam G-50X and loaned My friends GPI PRO Titan Rig. these brands of steadicams are the best 👍

Myles, I am producing an Olypmic Film that is in pre-production. We are in the market for a M-1/M-2. Is there anywhere particular you would recommend to look for "the used market"? We are planning on heading to LA to Tiffen to check things out firsthand but I'm just asking around right now to get our feet wet while Covid-19 is still at large. Appreciate it! - Alec
Alec Eagon Hi Alec, occasionally I’ll see a used M-1 rig for sale. Not typically a full rig but you can piece them together. I’m not thinking that you’ll find a used M-2 on the market yet. They’re brand new and I believe Tiffen still has a wait list for M-2 top stages and sleds. Can you contact me through my website and I’ll ask around if anyone is selling any of their kit? I think Tiffen Stadicam called it something like a universal monitor mount. If you call and specify which monitor you're wanting to mount they'll tell you which one you need. It works well with my 702 Touch even better as the cables are tucked closer to the rig and I can add a fourth battery to the back of the monitor for even larger camera rigs.
