Turns out copying status effects will do that, although they did release a few units in the past few months that counter status stacking
@@VerkatosEnsei Even though counters arose Chrom has something unique, he can get the bonus mid turn, that actually have saved me a couple of times.
I watched this video where an Arden was facing a Valentine Leon and all the pre-combat damage that he did, all of it was just negated and that was the most amazing thing I've ever seen because I don't have to suffer anymore at the hands of Lyon
Now you have to suffer trying to kill a unit who heals most of the reliable damage you could do

@@eliasgalindo5578not really, lyon struggled to kill because he relies on the pre combat dmg, any good nuke that doesn't rely on pre combat or aoe to do most work could kill that arden no problem

@@Ratpaa what? Lyon doesn’t even rely on pre combat damage. He has way more insane stuff in his kit than just that, sweep effect, ending turns, massive stat boosts. He had trouble killing because the pre combat damage was basically keeping Arden at max hp. I’m talking more about the average unit using flared sparrow and occultulists strike
And then there's Leonardo... at least he has decent modern stats

I don't like when IS releases something that completely counters another thing but this time I'm glad that breath of life 4 makes V!Lyon manageable cuz he already does TOO much

Young duo Robin showing up a week after emblem Ike was egregious, but honestly, duo Lyon was and is the most egregious unit in the game, still. No other unit can shut down a player's ability to play the game on demand, after all.

This is basically the vicious cycle of powercreep in feh. Baka Systems makes a disgustingly broken unit, then after several months, they release some unit or effect that's not only meant to counter the broken unit, but also ends up even more broken as a result. In this case, E!Ike already gets spammed to heck and back in AR, and now he's just straight up unkillable to almost anyone who attacks him with BoR 4.

Yeah, my Nemesis has been nutty lately with BoL4. Honestly, I'm tempted to get more for my other defensive units like Legendary Female Corrin, Bertram, Ashnard, etc.

I really want to get sothe for his fodder and then chain it with bol4 but interesting units that changed the meta quickly.
I'm definitely loving Edward's BoL4 already. I plan on giving it to E!Ike, but now I'm tempted to give it to Nergal or L!M!Byleth. And ofc, another great skill going towards one of the still best build options to date, B!Dimitri, lol!

@@hedreamt9455 I haven't seen brave dimitri in ages, can he even still tank the current nukes? I struggle to imagine him taking hits from veyle, micaiah or shez
@@Ratpaa my dimitri took no damage from the new micaiah when i cleared the maps. shez doesn’t have much atk to deal substantial damage to dimitri so the first hit does nothing, but the brave attack barely does anything. mythic veyle, dimitri can take on, but fallen veyle still hurts and can kill dimitri bc of her atk/res tempo skill and the brave attack
i run a godlike reflexes build (with emblem ike engage) with atk/spd finish, laguz friend, time’s pulse 4, bonus doubler sacred seal, and guard echo. most things don’t even deal any damage. if dimitri had a form of null c disrupt then he’d be able to take on v!lyon better. even if the burn damage brought dimitri low, lyon’s actual attack doesn’t kill. he even can go against aoe attacks, like they could bring him to 1 hp but he still survives and kills back. of course i HAVE to make sure he gets a lot of spd support but i use him in light season in ar with peony so it’s not as hard.

I used Miciah with my +10 Zephia after equipping Zepha with Atk/Res Crux and Micaiah was able to get -79 Atk/-91 Res on a single opponent
How do units interact with negative atk? I would imagine that all hits are just 0 then

Any recent dragon with scowl still kills him easily. And both veyles makes everyone good against ike because her support scowl.

Ashnard is a phenomenal user of Breath of Life 4, and him running the skill is liable to bring save balls back into fashion. His Atk drops are also absolutely insane.
Big doubt, most nukes will just outright ignore him or leave him for last and isn't threatening as a unit himself.
@@reishiki8682 Isn't threatening? He's capable of stonewalling emblem Ike, and can put out enough damage to actually win. If you're building him on a tight skill budget, sure, he's much less threatening, but that applies to every unit released a year ago or more.
@@MadCrashSJ If you value him high "for just walling E!Ike" then i guess i can rate any dragon with scowl and decent bulk highly too... except they can actually kill him. Let's not oversell what he does, it's just a wide range debuff infliction, his entire value is "just existing the benefit of your other deployed units", so basically a debuffbot. And that's without considering that Ike but blue might be supported to counteract that play so all this hypothetical glazing won't just magically be "good" because you tried it out on the Abyssal map.
@@reishiki8682 I didn't try it on an abyssal map. I tried it against a BoL4 emblem Ike that had a whole team of ranged nukes behind him. Ashnard ended the map at full health, and only took any damage from Ike after Ike got refreshed by Mirabilis.
I can understand why Jarod didn't get his own video, but I still kind of think he's a much better modern grail lance option than D!Hawkeye, and I'm quite impressed that N!Saizo still holds up well thanks to his spd and def.
Why wasting time for this trash unit? His only job is to be a bad fod or send home for 2k feathers...

Doubt it. That remix has to do so much for her considering her entire kit is worthless. I'd like to be wrong but I doubt they'll put her anywhere on this Micaiah's level since they want you to summon for the latest and greatest, not outdated trash that was dead on arrival when she released.
One question guys, I'm new at the game and got in the last banner 3 emblem Ikes, what can I do with the other 2? Btw got Corrin two times too, is the second one good for anything?

It would not. Corrin has very low defense, which is the conditional trigger for BOL4's max health recovery. If you do want it, you'll have to give it to a unit with high defense. Keep in mind that Corrin has less defense than Duo Lyon (Lyon has a huge stat swing of 24 to his Atk/Def/Res, putting him at least 10 points higher than Corrin's at base) so he would not recover 40% against him.

@@Natzilla10 Another thing to note is that Lyon also has more Resistance than Corrin, so Corrin would not be able to combat him without Null C Disrupt unless you dumped a lot into Corrin's Res.
Leonardo is also a solid recipient of the Whitewind/Lucrative Bow. Figured to bring this up.
Thanks PM1 for the video but I have trouble understanding how this Michaiah build was able to take on Emblem Ike ... the combat simulator says she deals about 17 damage to Ike and takes 74 back and dies. BoL4 and hardy bearing don't help her. Could you clarify?
Just for clarification, Breath of life 4 can be placed on multiple units to reduce the [Deep Wounds] effect multiplicatively right? I know the healing doesn’t stack but if you run 2 units with BoL4, then units within two spaces of both of them get reduced [Deep Wounds] effects by 75% right? So theoretically if all 4 of your team members had it, you could still get ~94% of your total healing effects? Is that how it works???
IS massively undersold Micaiah w/those translation errors! She is exponentially better than was portrayed. And oh boy, BoL4.... I thought I'd at least have until next season, but my AR-D has already been obliterated by 2 +10 Ikes w/BoL4 🤣I'm just hoping it's not going to be too much of a pain to face in AR-O, or that I will have to resort to endturn BoL4 Ike, which is equivalent to not playing AR for me 😅Thanks for the fantastic vid and the translation corrections!
Did anyone replace sothes b skill with desperation 4? Was it worth it? I have a single perfect IV unmerged flyer lisythia with the fodder skill but it hurts to fodder her off
I’m a little confused because there is a lot going on with her kit, but how would Micaiah interact with L!M!Robin’s Grand Strategy and unity skills?

I got Micaiah in the first 20 summons, I don't know if I should pull for Sothe and Edward or I should save for Summer Gullveig with 6 actions. Also Micaiah with Panic Smoke 4?
I play mine michaiah with emblem from marth, heavy blade(with all the debuffs she's always gonna out atk the enemy) and astra to just delete anything on second hit, those hits for 300+ are crazy

Surprised I didn't see L!Seliph on the Breath of Life 4 list! I feel like it's perfect for him tanking all of the start of combat damage that he recently knocked him out of the meta. All of the ranged magic nukes merely tickle him with BoL4.
It makes me happy to see how well this Tellius banner turned out with each unit offering something new to the playing field, even Leonardo at least makes a good bow fodder option if you don't have a spare arcane bow.
I'm just curious if it's possible for Bane to do "less" damage if it's under the opponent's doesn't get OHKOed crateria .
Like , normally it treats as if opponent has 40% less der/res, but when it does opponent's max HP-1 damage, is it possible for the number to be lower ? 🤔
One thing overlooked with Sothe's base kit. I firmly believe potent Disarm is his best B skill!
Basically the idea is triggering Bane (or not against Scowl) but that's okay, imagine you are initiating against a Hardy Fighter Aegis Far Save
You'll do 0 damage, then they counterattack
You follow up with a bane that ignores emblem Ike (because it took effect con the first Hit, and also that first aegis, and Scowl, which doesn't exist anymore. Many true DR characters have it only on their firsr hit)
And then it's that second bane that leaves the foe at 1 HP, which means instant death with your potent follow up because as long as you are doing 5~ damage on preview, you will always deal like 1 damage with your potent!
With Mythics he beats pretty much every far save (his true DR he takes on Byleth supreme heaven!) except for like invested Valentine Myrrhs and I think that having a nuke delete your foe far save instantly is in itself preeeety good!
Definetly not the best unit of the banner, but not many people are talking about him and his super synergestic kit!

Does atk/res crux buff your enemies with guaranteed follow-up attack or your allies?
It an in-combat debuff for enemies. Allows unit and allies to make a guaranteed follow-up attack.
Edward’s entire career is completely overshadowed by that one little c slot skill
I was forced to spark for Attuned Micaiah, and her banner gave me three Rearmed Sothe’s. But oh my Naga, the fact that she turns penalties into bonuses AND makes the enemy do ZERO damage? She may as well be the key to beating the infernal maps! Story OR Paralogue!
Slapped Breath of Life 4 to my Laguz Friend 4 Adult Tiki (the normal one) and she tanks almost everything now bar invested Emblem Ikes oddly enough.
For those that struggle with BoL4 supported tanks: The Reinhardt still takes care of them (but only the rearmed one).
Will my ninja corrin benefit from far trace echo more than death blow?
Yes, if you run her with Occultist Strike in Slot B, then Far Trace Echo is a lot more useful and miles better than Death blow echo.
I managed to get 2 Edwards so far so as soon as Shield Pulse 3 becomes more accessible I'm gonna fodder him off to Attuned Caeda, that way I can give my Awakening Tiki Buffer 4, Godlike Reflexes, Breath of Life 4, Guard Echo and D Bonus Doubler at the same time 😄

I got Edward on my 37th summon. I’m foddering him to a rearmed to distribute BoL4 further. My question is who should I spark? Micaiah or Sothe? Or should I just get another Edward?
I'd say micaiah. Sothes special is insane, but micaiah offers so much support and that echo skill IMO is the best so far

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but Edward's weapon turns Godlike Reflexes into a 2-count special, so wouldn't Laguz Friend be disabled? If it does work, then Laguz Friend must be worded poorly, because it looks like the cooldown count checks applies to both types.
There is no special cooldown requirement with defensive specials, with laguz friend.
Laguz friend could definitely be worded better. It does say though "if units max special cool down count value>=3 and if units attack can trigger special, or if foes attack can trigger units special..." So if the value>3 applied to all of it then it wouldn't need to mention who triggers the special at all - like if the opponents attack nor the units attack trigger the special, then who does?

They gave Micaiah everything the current units do except for precombat damage!
As much as a like tank skills bol 4 is ridiculous and did what i feared. Which was make pre combat damage pointless. Since honestly i liked the mechanic even if it was a bit overturned on units like lyon. Not to mention it does more than that and makes ike virtually immortal since now his main counters are completely covered by this skill.
The absolute disrespect of Leonardo getting stuck with an inheritable when Edward got his Caladbolg.
There are some characters who want Laguz friend that I would have a hard time giving it to…
I put close counter on my Micaiah and she can enemy phase a lot of units, it's pretty funny

Some of the armour units get 90 hp with breath of life 4.
It is depressing how every new thing comes with the compulsory "reduce the countering effect so this new powercreep skill is not countered" kind of text. If that wasn't a thing I bet the game would actually be balanced. After this, some unit is going to come with "Deeper Deep Wounds" or some shi* 😂
I appreciate these videos, but it just makes me so frustrated that FEH is becoming so absurdly complicated and the devs just fail at explaining things properly, despite managing to come up with descriptions so long that they have to shrink the font because it won't even fit on the damn screen.

@@nhorielIt' the combination of FOMO and sunk-cost fallacy. I don't hav Ike but blue and this new "metacheck" skill and i can still handle him (give i somehow got the Veyles without intending to). But let's be real, only copium that their pixel will get in is what keeps most of the sheep here.
@@nhorielif Lyon dies, he doesn't inflict the turn ending status. Even OG Sothis with her remix can live and kill in return if Lyon doesn't have pre-combat damage, and of course duo byleth and emblem Ike who have null C disrupt in their weapons. Like no ones calling fomortiis unfair anymore even though he also ends peoples turns.
Pretty dumb for a unit to inflict -60 atk and expect it to be balanced (she literally takes 0 damage from even bows) by just existing. "Simplicity" is extinct since furry!Edel's banner.
Edit : All this flat damage spam has one simple check - fixed damage that can't be mitigated with stat check differentials
