Dude. Great video. That riff at 15.10 is lovely got a modest mouse / smiths thing going on I really wanna hear that song. Love the trem work on it too. Not an overkill setup at all. Perfectly acceptable! I like that tone bender fuzz. Have been looking at it for a while.
Thanks so much!!! I also can’t wait till that song drops, it’s called Buttercup, I think it will be out later this year, but make sure to follow Anna Leonard on Spotify or Apple Music to get that notification when it drops!
Hey man I dig your studio set up and that tone was hella juicy 👌🏽I played a HRD in my indie band in college but I switched to an AC15 and I feel like it can pretty much l do anything youd need it to
Thanks so much! And I would LOVE to get a vox in the studio, it’s the one amp food group I’ve not owned while always enjoying the sounds of. Always watch for updates I guess… 😂
Around 13:30 you talk about how you get that shoegaze tone. Would you be able to show how you set that up? :) I’m discovering how to shape tone and would very much appreciate it if you ever have the time. Thanks! Great video
Hey! Thanks for the question! I don’t really go much further than what I show in the video right now, just verb into fuzz into delay into verb, but I will keep that in mind as potential sounds come in and out of sets, I will make sure to keep things updated. Might even make a little short so people can get a quick rundown on using the Loomer for a quick and dirty wall of sound. Thanks again!
Never came across your channel before today and just assumed you're a guitar channel. It's cool you ain't because I'm not. Like I started out making jams on grooveboxes and samplers and then went into guitar stuff and then mixed guitar with electronic music and now I make random pedals and samplers and stuff. At least you have a general idea of what your channel is lmao
I would disagree with the word “terrible” because I don’t dislike the sound out of it, but I will end up changing them at a point to get a bit less output, a bit more top end, and a bit more “authentic” with the sound at some point. But they definitely work for now, so I wouldn’t say they are bad pickups, just not quite tuned to my tastes.
Haha, look, it’s overkill for the types of songs I’m playing, but trust me… I could go more overkill than this… I used to use 2 boards live with a band running into stereo amps… so trust me, I’m sure I’d LOVE your rig 😂
Really enjoyed your video. Would love to see more guitar content!
Hi Ben. I found that the j mascis JM really fits me like a glove. I'm using it primarily in the worship band at church.
Thanks for the vid!
Great to hear! It’s definitely a great player, I’m enjoying my time with it so far!
Hell yea Benji, rig is sounding sick af. Love the wobbly setting at like 11:20
Now with the whammy bar on the jazzmaster, im gonna slap that pedal on and never be in tune

You should try the JHS Emperor V2 for chorus sounds.

Haha, yeah right now I’m not really focused on synth/groovebox content but if that is your jam… stay tuned because that’s what I built this around!
It is definitely not overkill. Having lots of tone options keep shit interesting
The j. Mascis is a killer guitar but the pickups are terrible. Replace them and I’m sure it’ll stick around.

@@ambientbenji fair enough. Fun video though!

Your name is not Ben G. It says right there, it’s Wilson .
😂😅
You laugh, but you just reminded me I need to switch my display from Ben to Benji 😂 so… it’s about to match! Just… once TH-cam process it
If that setup is overkill then you don’t want to see mine 🫣
