I just bought one and used it for the first time today. I absolutely love it! I will never go back to any electric coffee maker again. I will use this, my french press, moka pot or mason jar for cold brew!
The whole point of the metal Bodum filter is that you don't NEED the paper filter you've added to it here - which significantly reduces the richness of the taste of the coffee!! Hugh Pidgeon
Pike Place......really ? Each to their own, but Charbucks Pike-Place, no thank you :) This little one-cup brewer is on sale in the UK at the mo, I'll get one for work, then I won't be too disappointed 'when' it gets nicked, broken etc ;-)
No. You don't. This guy has no idea what he's talking about. This is literally the description from the Bodum website. "No wasteful paper filters that trap essential oils and flavor; just pure flavorsome coffee. ... All you need is filter coffee grounds, hot water, four minutes of your day and a little Bodum magic - and you have all the ingredients for a delicious brew. This is pour over, perfected."
man I hate wasting money on bullshit I could survive without, but bodum has sales all the time and I been thinking about a french press or pour over think I might get both of the cheapest ones and see which I like more, only tried pour once and it was kinda weird and sweet. if only they didn't run out of stock for months

ive honestly been really thinking about buying one. so hard decision.
The struggle is real
Lots of plastic. Cup probably can't handle the high temperatures. It quickly cracked and looked very unsightly. Not worth it in my opinion.
How much coffee did you use?
About two tablespoons
Do you need paper filters?
Yes
