    Fun fact, if you put a paper filter 1st and then that on top of that filter, it makes better brewing and better looking coffee, which captures the sediment, but that's something I've learned recently and thought it would be cool as well too, all though it is quite a clean up, it's definitely worth it 😁😁😁😁

    The hot glass on a cold countertop might cause the vessel to crack….even if they’re made of borosilicate glass. Use a DRY pot holder.
    They make a brewer with a cork insulator. They’re thicker than the silicone band.

    I just got one of these so I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but one of the suggestions I saw regarding the paper filters was to pour a little hot water over just the filter to reduce any chance of "papery" flavor passing along. But they definitely help keep the sediment to a minimum.

    I just bought that exact pour over. I also have a French Press, and a Moka Express, they of them make a nice bold coffee, all have a bit of silt. If silt is an issue, some people just don't like it and find it a turn off, you can always use a #2 paper filter.

      Thanks for the tip! yeah I am finding the Silt adds an extra layer of taste to coffee. I think it gives it a better taste. Thanks for watching!!!!

    I just got my first Bodum pour over and liked how simply you explained things. Very helpful. How much coffee and how much water would you use for say, a 12 oz. cup which I generally have in the morning. Again, thanks.

    Hey JAD I've had the Bodum Bean for years, but never used it, so I was in search of instructions as the Bodum company thought it was ok to put the instructions inside the unit with the press lid on and so most don't know how to get the coffee press lid off to get to them.
    I've had a 2 pouch pkg if ground coffee from Dunkin Donuts as a sample and I'm now trying to see how it works. I'm surprised that the unit you are reviewing that was suggested I watch by TH-cam isn't the Bodum Bean I have which is a cold brew brewer.

    I have this on hand. One disadvantage is it takes too long for the water to pass through the filter. By the time you finish pouring all the water, the coffee is already cold.

      There is a double wall version of this. It's more expensive, but not horrible.

      @@sophiamoskalo7774 I think the double wall would be better, this one got really hot.

      I put a wooden cutting board under so it stays hot and continues to keep the balance of it all natural

    Looks like they have one with a cork wrap. Not sure if that makes it less hot, and easier to handle though. Here’s to hoping.

    What is your preferred way of making coffee taste wise? Drip, Pour over or Keurig? Thanks

    • @JustADad
      @JustADad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both! When I need a travel mug size like 16 oz then I make a pot of coffee with my Bunn Coffee maker. when I want an 8oz cup of coffee then I use my Keurig K -Supreme. thanks for Watching!!!!
