      We dont have pancake places in the UK so I think its the novelty of it. Your type of pancakes we call American pancakes because our pancakes are more like crepes which are French. "Is salt endangered in England?" lol - We just have this annoying government that forced lesser amounts of salt and sugar in processed foods. It's really sad. I think one thing to consider as far as preference is that its only one brand of meat/vegan option so if one is better it might be because the brand is gross (or as you say "british) or just because it's not home made. It sucks when you know an item can be delicious (vegan or meat) but someone writes off the entire option off of one taste of one brand or someone who isnt a pro with cooking.

    I’m dairy intolerant so I have a lot of vegan food even though I use other animal products. Vegan pain au choc are incredible if you stick them in the oven for a couple of minutes - chocolate melts, pastry crisps up. I think the best vegan food isn’t trying to hide it, but I much prefer vegan bolognese to the real thing, since it’s easier to make and choc full of veg !

      That’s great!! But it’s also important to consider that the dairy and egg industries also kill huge amounts of animals and have detrimental effects on the environment, so vegetarianism should never be viewed as the end goal. Reduction is great though, and any step towards a more compassionate existence is a good one. Good luck!

    • @AAAAAA-613
      @AAAAAA-613 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ngaiok2363 wait but why do they kill the animals that make their product? Seems counterintuitive

    • @rosannakirk9651
      @rosannakirk9651 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AAAAAA-613 The dairy industry relies on impregnating cows in order for them to produce milk. Once they give birth if the calf is female she is taken away to later become another dairy cow, if the calf is male he is useless to the dairy industry (few males are needed) so killed for veal. And once dairy cows stop producing milk they are also useless, so killed. In the egg industry, chickens are bred to become egg-laying hens. However, they can’t ensure that only female chicks are born, so plenty of males are born. Males cannot lay eggs so once again are useless for the industry, resulting in killing huge numbers of male chicks, often by literally macerating them. It’s not pretty. This is why anyone who truly cares for animals should put a lot of thought into where they food they eat is coming from. Vegan is the way to go 👍

    I think for me I prefer soya milk over dairy milk and I think vegan percy pigs tastes better then the ones with geletine in and I often find myself getting to like the vegan stuff like cheese and mayo the more I have it. That being said vegan chocolate does not live up to regular chocolate and going to be honest thats the main reason I am not vegan. Also I think I only got one or two wrong as even just looking especially the meat stuff, its not too hard to tell which has meat in or not. I think some meat substitutes are okay like the sausages and I have tried some nice vegan chicken strips however I have tried these quorn vegan chicken nuggets and they are quite watery so I guess depends on the brand.

    I'm not vegan either but I eat vegan sometimes. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood for meat. Although I will always choose Morningstar chikn over real chicken nuggets lol
