@@MDrives I was choosing between the karooq and kamiq Monte Carlo but I think with the 1.5 dsg engine in the kamiq will be more enjoyable to drive so that’s what I will chose
Excellent review. I agree with your assessment. After a lot of research, including EV’s, which for numerous reasons, £14K more, not the future etc. I decided on same Kamiq as you have. I’ve now had it for 3 months and can confirm that I am very pleased with it. Incidentally it replaced a BMW 320D Touring, an excellent car, but very expensive, to run. Regarding your comment on ‘lane control’ I also find it disconcerting, however it’s very easy to switch off. Right side of steering wheel, top left button, then press the silver scroll wheel. In addition I also switch off the ‘auto engine stop feature’. Cheers Noel.
Brilliant review! Was this the SE L Exective 1.5 model? I've been weighing up this car for months but worried about the boot size as a new family of 3, i think after watching your review i can relax a little bit
@@prasmussen6043 despite being smaller, Skoda felt a bit more specious inside. Interior is more pleasing in Q2 to my eye but tech is better in Skoda. They both drive similarly but Skoda feels a bit softer and more comfortable.
@@MDrives Thanks for your reply. Which one would you lease today - after owning the Q2 and driving the Skoda Kamiq? I'm assuming you have driven the Q2 2024, and are aware of any possible changes compared to the one you owned?
@@prasmussen6043 I haven’t driven new q2. If they would both have similar tech, I would go with Audi as I like the styling more. If I would be looking at it from a value for money perspective, Skoda is the winner.
I get this size of car. It’s fairly short but cavernous inside. Easily as big as a golf, large boot but tons of head room. It seem bigger SUVs don’t offer the same value for space inside vs size outside as this one.
Thank you for a very good and sincerly information about the Skoda kamiq. You are so positive in your showing and information, lost of other car specialist should be so Nice and See the good stuff inside a car. Thank you that’s really kind of you. I think they offer a great value for money as options are cheaper than in VW cars or Audi. Skoda is no 1 selling cars at Poland. In UK many people thought about Skoda as a cheap car until more recent years.

Hi. Yes I think it was SEL 1.5. I think you would be fine. There was plenty of space at the back, more than in Q2 for example.
Hello- I just watched your Audi Q2 video and would like to hear your thoughts on how it compares to this Skoda Kamiq? Thank you

what color is this? great color
I’m sorry but I don’t remember the name.
I love mine.

Agree. It’s quite tall which adds more space.
Why not using metric units?
I live in UK, I will try to include both units next time. Regards
how primitive those anglo units, use Metric given to us by B. Napoleon

The old slides were great cars, yes they were cheap but they were reliable and would cope with cold weather better than Leyland or ford.
Kamiq is a normal sized car which is 10cm shorter than an Audi A3 but because it's lifted with 8cm they call it an SUV🤦♂️
Most of the cars today are called SUVs 😅
Crossower... karoq is SUV..

The driver seat is very very bad.I am an owner of Skoda Kamiq 1.0 tsi 110ps.
There are better options.

Why do you think so? I found them comfortable and I have a bad back so I would say they basic but supportive. I guess seats are a very personal topic.
