The last conversation between Lincoln and Sal is one of the most memorable Gaming moments I can recall. Excellent acting, heartbreaking dialogue, and a fitting end to Sal Marcano.
When father said he wished Lincoln died that night I teared up, that's so sad...

Ya know what? After seeing the priest's disappointment towards Lincoln, I could kinda understand their derailed relationships: Greed does not discriminate against anyone so even after Sal's death, things never improved any better.
Then again, none of this would have happened if the Marcano Mafia hadn't destroyed Sammy's bar back then....

I love Sal's character, they wrote him very well, not great but good enough. The game made me hate him as a villain but this scene made me question Lincoln even more, because right before me was a man just as bad as me, I've killed countless, too many to remember, I use drugs for money and destroy anyone in my way. So it made me see in a similar light Lincoln only thing separating them were a better moral code but not by much and this really drove the concept of all Mafia games, that none of us are the good men, no matter how much we view ourselves that way, no matter how many times we killed those who really deserved it we always end up going both ways and hurting those who don't deserve it. We are a walking a plague, good and bad doesn't necessarily apply to us, there's only the life, death, money and business. Loved his character.

I love most of the characters in 3, Sal is the best written and performed villain of the series.

I think some people miss the point of the final scene.. the whole point was that Lincoln had been going on these crazy rampages to destroy Sal for what he did to him and now that he meets him he finally realizes that they're equal, Sal took everything from Lincoln and Lincoln took everything from Sal so that's why they had that heartfelt conversation the only difference now is that Lincoln got to kill Sal so that is 1 up for Lincoln which indefinitely makes him worse

I can relate to the nightmares they talk about, ones where someone is trying to kill you or is killing everyone around you, waking up heart pounding all sweaty, yeah it's hell.
Damn i feel so bad for father james but at the same time Lincoln and donavan are right the city will just spit out another sal marcano I honestly see both endings as valid options leaving means father james will be happy and somewhat proud of Lincoln but that also means Lincoln will live the rest of his life on the run and seemingly depressed but staying Lincoln while doing good things for the city also kinda becomes in father james eyes no better then sal i really gotta think about this cause both options are bitter sweet but im actully leaning towards ruling the city over leaving it all behind i feel like if they ever make a 4th game that will be the canonical ending

Everytime he tries to smile at scotch and fails while the music swells into strings....I get choked up.
Sympathy for the devil? Is there really any such thing as evil...or do we all just do the best we can, and often enough we watch it slip away.
I won’t lie, I believe there are some things in exists that are evil on every objective human reasoning there is and even the subjective ones as well. But for people, for humans we’re not good but we aren’t evil as well we’re in the middle meaning that no human is completely good and no human is completely evil either it’s something that I think is beautiful because it allows all of us to be different, don’t forget people like Sal, Lincoln, gerogie, Vito and the rest they’re still people and we shouldn’t forget that

It was better to show Joe rather than outright state it was him. Him speaking also gives it away and being Leo's personal driver is a perfect excuse for no dialogue, he's only paid to drive not talk.
There's this theory that while Joe was avoiding the hit from Clemente in 1945 he got a woman pregnant and she gave birth to Lincoln. Crazy and could work, but it would have to be a stretch as the timeline inbetween 1945 and 1950 is unknown.

this reminds me spec ops the line. You know, you get into an elevator that takes you to an attic and there you find an old man and the so called "villain" who talks with you and makes a kind of revelation.
But this game doesn't lie to you, doesn't force you to do anything just for you to feel bad about it. Mafia III doesn't make you feel the good or the bad guy. You're just looking for revenge. And that's it. It's the thing done right.

Who thinks Lincoln Clay was a great character and the mafia 3 is underrated ? Give a like to show haters, they are wrong. . I personaly think Mafia 3 doesnt diserve so much hate it got. It had a good story and characters, if it were like only story missions (like in mafia 2 or mafia 1 remake) it would be more prased.

6:10 they're imitating AC III where Connor Kenway and Charles Lee had a drink with each other then Connor stabbed Charles in his guts with small blade while looking Charles in the eyes but you let Sal kill himself out of his grief and hatred towards Lincoln and that's more satisfying than Charles Leeing him then throwing him out of the window.
In addition, the words that Sal says define the four characters, him, Lincoln, Connor and Charles: "They were badly made" in the sense that they were very similar, "we only know one thing" it refers to that they only know the way death and "we are the best" indicates that they tried to do the best for their lives
