Oye, I came here after watching you with EZBOT. Great Episode about your workflow and very insparational. My AR1 is great and I will buy the AR3 when it comes out. I agree with reverting to the previous AR1 form factor that is on the AR2. I love the work flow on my DIGITONE and hope it makes it's way to the AR3. I hopw that the AR3 will have 16 tracks that can be either internal MIDI vs External MIDI just like the DIGITACK MK2. The AR MK2 SCREEN is beautifull and easy to see here on youtube; and also the backlight on all the buttons makes it easy to see the AR MK2 online, but also in a dark room. My OT2 and my DT are a joy to play with all the lights turned down low. ALSO a very big wish: CUT AND PASTE of a DRUM KIT or DRUM KIT Track will pull the associated sample sound file with each of the Track soundS. This definetely makes an AR1 player think twice before using Samples. I hope you have some pull with ELEKTRON to get more good Ideas out for the AR3 release.
Thx for the A/B on mk1 vs mk2. I can't bring myself to upgrade from mk1 to mk2. Same w the octatrack. And mk1s fit good still w digitakt, digitone and syntakt. A4 is the only one I updraded since mk2 sounds better. It's actually the A4 that looks out of place form wise and color.
It is slightly lighter but significantly smaller than the mk2. Maybe it’s the size playing tricks with my head as I e never weighed them. Thanks for watching!
Nice video but I got off at minute 3'05 by so many of those doubting "amm...." You do, it is too much, the messege you send by doing that it does not help people to get to follow you or believe you know what you are taking about. I say it because is something easy to work and would make a hudge diference. Positive fedback really. Thanks for yoir video.
@@juanperezaure thanks. I do edit those out in my regular videos, but it’s much harder when I’m doing a live stream that is not scripted. I’ve always been more about the value of the content than the ‘polish’. :)
I have the MK2 but I saw a used MK1 at Guitar Center today, and I gotta say, the MK1’s form factor is awesome.
Wow, this whole live stream totally blew me away :D fantastic jamming.. love the enthusiasm about the rytm. Really eye opening.
That’s awesome! Thanks for checking it out!
Could you do a tutorial/review on the compressor and distortion settings on the rytm?

great sesh today!! very timely putting this out while i'm tryna get really dialed in on the amazing new features of 1.70.
Thanks for tuning in and for keeping the chat going! :)
Every minute of it was gold
Awesome! Thank you so much for watching!!
Glad i stayed till the end. The jamming was my favorite part.. is this how you play live? Dope!!
Awesome. Glad you liked it. Yes it is! Thanks for watching.
You mentioned decent ipad control. MOTU interfaces integrate well with ipad control, even in standalone mode, with an Internet network connection.
I really like the sounds you get out of the Rytm. I have one and its a favorite but clearly have a ways to go in terms of buiding up my palette.
Thanks! It’s a sound design beast. It does take a fair amount of practice though.
Great tutorial, major update, very well explained..
Glad it was helpful!
Ever tried the Roland MV-1? It's a similar look and maybe a similar workflow with a sequencer but not much on the sound design synth side
I ve messed around with it. Not super interesting for me, but a cool machine. Rytm is night and day different other than some similarity with looks.

Can you confirm that the MK1 is lighter than the MK2 as you said, cause in the documentation both are supposed to weight 2.4 kg ?? Thanks

Hey Surco, nice vid! Which box would you recommend for sound designing drum/percussion the Rytm or the Syntakt???
Both are good but the Rytm is next level. The added value of sample layers with the analog synth engines is second to none. Thanks for watching!
@@SURCOlive Thanks for the info and quick response, much appreciated!!!
Sample your sniffles into hi hats😊
Hella lesson boss
Glad you liked it!! Thanks for watching!

Can anyone explain how to use BASS in any of these? That's the only reason I would buy one.
Not sure what you mean by “use bass”
Amazing, thank you
