Yea, Ted Bundy has been killing it in this band a looong time now 😅Completely agree though, Travis is iconic in this corner of music and his technique seems as though he never stops learning to improve it.
Have you ever paid close attention to how he moves his mouth to get a lot of his unique sounds? He will literally stick his down out the side of his teeth and into his cheek. First saw it in an interview with Travis, now i can't ever unsee it.😂 hands down one of the best singers in deathcore.
Hey dude, if you like that tongue rolling, check out the song "one thought" by dark tranquility, it's pretty old and they did it on that song a few times, never to replicate it again, it's kinda similar.
@@BirdOfHermes83 The first thing that comes to mind is Carcass, Jeff Walker was a big influence in Travis' vocals. Of course I think the guy you're replying to is exaggerating, yes some death metal bands had dense, multisyllabic flows back then but it's still pretty cool to see Cattle do it.
OMFG! These guys have already immortalized themselves in the history books of extreme music but I wish they could actually be immortal cos they just KEEP GETTING BETTER WITH EVERY RELEASE! *bows down* RESPECT! 🤘
God damn I’m just grateful that I’m still getting new Cattle Decap albums, from listening to Humanure as a freshman in Highschool to Terrasite as a grown man with a son of my own at 33 years old this band has provided a soundtrack through it all. Thank you!!
100% this. I've got more years than you at 47, but Humanure in my late twenties... Took my daughter to her first show Sunday in Pontiac, what a time to be alive.
Wish I could say the same. I'm 22, got into Cattle Decap in 2019, and most of the bands I grew up with have either broken up or sold out. Hopefully by the time I'm your age Cattle is still putting out bangers and I'll be able to say they soundtracked my 20's.

Truly a 10/10 album, to my ears this album as a whole has no faults. It's the evolution Cattle Decapitation was working towards, and it sounds absolutely incredible. If I could have anything, I'd want a video for Solastalgia, a massive standout track imo. Amazing work as always, you never fail to deliver. OH AND TRAVIS IS ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF BADASS IN THIS VIDEO HOLY SHIT MAN
I swear Travis vocals are out of this world. The way he says "skin starts to burn in the light" something about the way he said "light" sounds sooo Damm sharp and intense. I love these guys man. We love cattle decap❤
I love when Travis’ vocals sound my ass exploding on the bowl the morning after T Bell. Seriously one of the best vocalists out there, absolutely insane.
Okay, there is A LOT to unpack with this insane album. Starting off with the Elephant in the room, HOLY FUCK I swear Cattle Decap have became their own genre at this point because NEVER have I heard any other band sound like this, I mean, what the FUCK would you even call this genre? Symphonic Deathgrind? Maybe even Progressive Deathgrind? Even then that sounds like a silly genre on paper but this sounds SOOO GOOD! And we of course can't forget about Travis Ryan's LEGENDARY Goblin Cleans that he's been using ever since Monolith, I've been seeing videos of people doing vocal covers of CD's songs with those vocals and no offense to them, but I think none of which had even came CLOSE to sounding like Travis. The man is an absolute legend and is a huge inspiration to a bunch of extreme metal bands too, more specifically, Deathcore bands. and yes, I know Travis absolutely fucking despises Deathcore, but honestly I fucking respect the man for that. (Not that I hate Deathcore too, because I fucking love it.) And probably for the last thing that just NEEDS to be said, JUST ANOTHER BODY IS AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!!! I just love how they had a Piano/Orchestral opening to the song and slowly building it up to the first verse, one could probably even call the song a fucking Cattle Decap Ballad. (but hey, this of course wasn't the first time they made a song like this, I mean, there was the title track for Death Atlas which sounds pretty similar.) AND THAT OUTRO IS JUST SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!!! the way Travis layered both his Goblin Cleans and Normal Cleans together just sounds so mesmerising to me, and I also love how they somehow managed to include that sort of 80s sounding synth at the end, and not only that, but they made it fit PERFECTLY with the outro too. I'm just so fascinated and in love with how CD has evolved since Monolith, It's like they got even better with every album going on from there. I only discovered this band quite recently too, Somewhere around Late 2021/Early 2022 I think, I'm not exactly sure, but one thing is that I'm SURE AS SHIT am a Cattle Decapitation fan now. And every time one of my favourite bands releases a new album, I always just can't help but already start to wonder what their next album would be like, and dare I say, I don't know if Cattle can possibly top this album, I think they might have just peaked here, but I really hope that they prove me wrong the next time they release an album. And I'm definitely planning on finding (and buying) this album on Vinyl the next time I go to HMV, I've literally only just started collecting Vinyl's as I only have my first vinyl I got just a month or two ago which is Pain Remains by Lorna Shore, and I'm definitely getting this album next before anything else because this album is a G I M M E. And I'm also planning on getting a Cattle Decap shirt/hoodie whenever I get the chance. So Travis Ryan, Josh Elmore, Belisario Dimuzio, Olivier Pinard, and David McGraw, if any of you lot see this comment, Congratulations, A New Fan Has Just Been Born.

I gotta be honest about something here....and I've been a hard core metal head for 35 or 36 yrs. I'm ashamed to admit it but I pass over listening to this band Cattle Decapitation for a long time....to long and it was because of their name. I know, that's stupid and closed minded but DAMN I'm glad I got past that dumb shit cause these guy are fuckin awesome. I love this fuckin bad. Lesson: Don't judge a book by its cover or a band by their name.
Travis Ryan is the pure god among man, cause in his 48 hes screams sounds too high, growl so brutal, guttural godly low, clean sounds very epic! I Just immersed by him! Hes voice is the rare talent! Hail Cattle Decapitation!
Posting this after hearing the music. Good lord what have I missed out on all my life!? I feel so dirty and simultaneously embarrassed for never having heard of these guys. This was a brilliant song. Will be checking out more Cattle Decapitation. 36 years old and feel like a toddler today.
Damn what a video, it really enhances the energy and feel of the song without taking away from their performance as a band. When he lifted the arm I felt like my screen was on fire!
This is one of the few bands that has the collaboration that manages to continue to surpass themselves with every release! Love these guys! Always disgustingly heavy!
The last few seconds of seeing Travis like that gave me fucking cold chills down my spine 🥶 The album is literally amazing! Death Atlas Part 2 for sure! Josh, Travis, Dave, Oli and Belusario. Thank you for making Terrasite, it's fucking amazing! ❤ I shall eagerly wait for UK tour 🎉
LYRICS:
This accretion where gas and dust consolidate
under gravity’s control began a wasteland alone
No sign of life, intelligence has no role
Compounds of four elements, the beginning molecules of a soul
Geyser of light peers through the darkness
No ocean, no atmosphere
Hadean eon rise
Abandon hope all ye who enter here
Here where all faith goes to die
Where we are damned by the light
Complex sequence of elements
Bond together life’s essence
Sugars, enzymes, proteins, deoxyribonucleic acid
From the kingdom to the order bricks and mortar of a doomed future
A spirit born in the darkness
a new species to arise
exothermic and heartless
with a penchant for earthly demise
Thriving in the light-less
No need for hope, a future with no
illumination and sightless
and grown without incandescence
Skin starts to burn in the light
Vampiric nightmare
The cracking of the sun through the night
irradiated, alight
The uphill battle of life
Destroying dark
Oppressive light, brilliance alive
Avoid the spark that ends this night, damning sun rise
Geyser of light peers through the darkness
No ocean, no atmosphere
Hadean eon rise
Abandon hope all ye who enter here…
Father Lucifer! Your light still casts a shadow
In that emptiness we hide behind its veil
Smashed across the rocks and bleeding in the shallows
In our quest for light we’ve aimed our paths to fail
Skin starts to burn in the light
Vampiric nightmare
The cracking of the sun through the night
Goddamn the light

I know, that's stupid and closed minded but DAMN I'm glad I got past that dumb shit cause these guy are fuckin awesome. I love this fuckin bad. Lesson: Don't judge a book by its cover or a band by their name.
Travis Ryan is the pure god among man, cause in his 48 hes screams sounds too high, growl so brutal, guttural godly low, clean sounds very epic! I Just immersed by him! Hes voice is the rare talent!
Hail Cattle Decapitation!
Totally killer video and song! Terrasite is another masterpiece for Cattle Decapitation!!
Future me said he really liked this music video.
Future me got it right 🤘
The definitive Extreme Metal Song!!!
This band singlehandedly made me love extreme metal again with Death Atlas.
My precious
Well, I don't even know if it's correct to say that A Photic Doom is one of the best songs from the album, because, in fact, they all are.
Whole album is a god damn masterpiece just like Death Atlas.
Congratulations, Cattle Decap. Your new album is a brilliant masterpiece. 10/10 for me.
Best album front to back I've heard in a good long time. Ferocious, technical, melodic, amazing 👏 ❤

Posting this after hearing the music. Good lord what have I missed out on all my life!? I feel so dirty and simultaneously embarrassed for never having heard of these guys. This was a brilliant song. Will be checking out more Cattle Decapitation. 36 years old and feel like a toddler today.
El mejor disco del año! No hay dudas! Gracias Cattle Decapitation por tanto metal!!!

Fuckin' black metal vocals on the chorus AND rolled "R"s. One of their best songs.
