    Appreciate the shout out brother, that was definitely unexpected. But appreciated. I can relate to the slamming the cans on the ground , I rarely will slam a can on the ground however it does happen from time to time. I will likely bring out a few things you mentioned in this video in a few I plan on maybe tomorrow, I may be in a peterbilt spare truck , depending on what my route chief says, because my truck needs some TLC , hydraulic leak, mirror missing a screw and bolt to keep it on and in place, right turn signal needs the rear red glass replaced, etc, but other than that , I will still try to touch on a few things, such as the arms etc. but Mondays are my heaviest day by far, so we will see.

      I ran frontend loader for almost 15 yrs. Started off on an old Crane Carrier. When the boom goes up the hopper top goes up with it. They don't make them like that anymore. Now everything has sensor's on them. The PTO automatically shuts off when the RPM's raise up so high. I use to bypass them. That way instead of a half pack it would fully pack. Use to crush couches, and furniture with the forks. Just to get them in the can. Then you have the residence that complain about the smell. I use to tell them. It's your trash. It came from your house. Lol

    • @CoolHandMacc
      @CoolHandMacc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ro-landocalrissian4633 I bought the Crane Carrier off Publicsurplus.com for a little over $6k. The latest trucks, from Govdeals.com the Mack, $17k, and the Peterbilt only $2k. These are auction sites that sell only ex municipal trucks. The prices always vary depending on the starting bids, and if there is a reserved minimum amount the seller has put in place. It was a blessing, I only had one person that was bidding against me on both of the newest trucks. Some trucks sell for as much as $100-200k, some, even more. I pay $1k/mth for insurance, but it's based off your total years in business, driving experience, type/age of equipment, daily mileage and the area you house the equipment. Like most owner-operators, I use a big truck storage yard. At some point, I want my own yard especially when I start to purchase dumpsters.

I usually stay between 12 & 1300 RPM which is what the hydraulic system ran at. If you went any higher, it would cut out, so I'm actually not over revving it.

    • @CoolHandMacc
      @CoolHandMacc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, the east coast is slightly different than the west. The further north you go, they actually deal with a lot of 10yd cans. The biggest here are 8yd. We do have some pull outs, but it was the customer's responsibility to set them out for service.
