The "Billy" verse happened to a girl in my brother's grade. The first time I heard this, I immediately thought about her. She was wheeled in to the graduation, and when her name was called and she stood up the entire school rang out with a standing ovation. There wasn't a dry eye in that auditorium. I just recently (March 11th) was in an accident. Fell asleep at the wheel and woke up on the grass. Panicked and overcorrected my car. It flipped and crushed the latch for the drivers side door. The door flew open, and I flew out. I was thrown up in the air and landed feet from where my car stopped rolling. Broke two bones in my back, my right wrist, right ankle and the right side of my pelvis. My ankle healed after surgery, my wrist too... my pelvis and my right foot healed from the naked eye. But my back, even though the bones healed, my spinal chord didn't. I'm now 26 with a complete, spinal chord injury. I can't feel my feet and I have to wear a diaper and be forced to go to the restroom for the rest of my life. I've learned to walk without feeling my feet with a wheelchair - walker combination. But then yesterday I stood with the walker and let go with both hands. Stood for 40 seconds! I was coming home from a vacation when the accident happened. Before I left home I made my dad get up and give me a hug, which he groaned and grumbled having to get up. I said to him that I wanted a real hug because "you never know what might happen." That type of accident normally kills people, I could have died. I'm so, so glad I asked him for a real hug. He's now having to spend thousands to remodel some of the house for his now disabled daughter as well as add a few more things (like a ramp). (Mind you he is an amazing Dad and my best friend, the grump and grumble was his "Dad joke" type of acting) You never know what's going to happen.
I suffered a brain bleed at the age of 25 and a stroke a week afterwards the only thing I could remember were these lyrics , I couldn’t walk , feed myself or remember my daughters name but these lyrics taught me to keep fighting

I won't be there when you meet, so you have to promise me" which he did he loved me & was shocked she even asked. she died before sharif/I met. My father had liver disease from a gene in our family. the doctors used to say "if he wakes from this coma he'll never walk again or think the same" he proves the impossible. he woke up with many of my prayers and me never leaving his side even when I was 16 and 7 months pregnant 3 hours from home in a hospital room with him for 2 weeks . he couldn't ealk for over 6 months after his worst coma, he was told her never be able to again. I didn't give up on his and worked with him daily and one day at supper I was about to go get him from the couch to bring him to the table and as I go to get him.. he's walking to the table HIMSELF! He did not make it and died January 27th. but he did prove the impossible
