Screw the people who say you talk too much. You're a smart dude who likes to actually review and give your honest opinion which I enjoy. And you've got a chill voice too. You should consider voicing audio books lol
lol thank you I appreciate it. I do understand where anyone who says that is coming from, they just clicked on a video that looked like it would showcase the work getting done and I’m over here talking to my friends lol😂🤷♂️
Seriously people complain on you talking much? the talking bit is the heart of each and every video you did, very informative and helps a lot to those who are into this business...keep it up Bob!
Great work as always Bob. F all the haters on you talking too much, it’s you explaining your products and how they work. I’ve been a fan for many years and will be ordering more of your new products this week 👍
How cool it must be to work on a truck that has that much history with your family! Being as you mentioned you're stretched a bit thin to get everything you want to get done to the truck: One thing i would add is do all of the cleaning, witch's Brew, heavy duty, etc. All at once. That way you're not risking spraying some stronger cleaners on your freshly polished areas, potentially weakening the protection from the polishes. It will also save a bit of time, too! 32:57 DO YOU NOT OWN A KNIFE 😂😂
lol thanks Tanner yeah this one I wish I clips have spent more time on, keeping everything running smooth at chem-x took a lot of my attention away while I had it here unfortunately
You seem like such a chill guy and I thoroughly enjoy the thought process/explanation behind what you do. When I get my 379 finished, I want to make it out to one of the shows you help support. Keep up the great work, Bob.
Talk away! that is one thing that make me want to watch your videos. I like how you put the videos together, the editing, the way that you are honest ( in your products and others ) and also look forward to what Kona has to say! Don`t change what you are doing!! No to order some of that Eagle Guard for these Maine roads!
I very much enjoy your products, even got my boss to start using some stars and stripes on our rigs and so far so good on his end. But I'm curious on your opinion on 303 aero space protectant, I've used it for a few years now on dried out plastics and have loved it. Leaves a mat shine but also protects from the sun, without leaving that slick feeling to everything. Might be worth a look.
Thank you that’s really cool to hear! I’ll bring in some of that 303 aero and give it a shot, I def need something to fix dry plastics like on this job
Hello sir! Have seen your detailing videos on trucks. I am a truck driver in eastern North Carolina and I have to say your work is amazing!! My favorite tire shine is Cover-All. Is aerosol can and lasts long time, hats off to u pal!!
P&S Total Send water based dressing is what i use on my fire engines. Will self level pretty well, but i still use a brush to apply. Dries fast, holds up to dirt rodes well, 1:1 for a matte almost natural look. Straight for a satin gloss, and can be layered for more gloss. Its done me and my crew well. Been switching alot of my detail chemicals for fire apparatus to your stuff Bob. ChemX Is legit. Stoked to try out the metal polishes.
Make the shovel handle long enough so it won't fall in the bottle if dropped. Think about it.. it will only dangle at the top of the bottle after mixed! I love the design and idea no hate. Just a recommendation! Keep up the good work
I did the mop and glow on my tires it does work great makes them look like brand new tires not overly shiney but a deep rich look and lasts a long time even in rain. I enjoy your videos thanks.
36:45 The best tire shine I’ve used is ExoForma Permashine. Our yard is insanely dusty and I can wreck my tire shine driving from the wash bay to my parking spot, but nothing sticks to the Permashine. I applied it back in august of this year and though it’s dulled to a matte finish, my tires still look clean. Mud and dust don’t stick and I can touch the tires up with detailer if they need an extra pop.
If you’re looking for tire shine, I had my detailer put a permanent/ceramic tire shine on my truck, it’s been on there for 6 months now and looks great. I had them only do 1 coat because shiny tires aren’t my thing, but they say one coat gives you a satin finish and 2 coats gives you gloss. If I remember correctly it made by dura-coat. Also, you’ve turned me onto the gun light on the wand and tho I’ve yet to get a chance to use it, I think it’s gonna be a game changer. I’ve seen how helpful it is in your well lit studio, I wash my truck at night outside. I just took my regular flashlight and got a cheap mount on Amazon
Nice that’s cool on the flashlight, I’ve always found it helpful. Duracoat seems like a really nice company I’ve seen the tire coating and it looks really good, 6 months going strong is incredible
Great Video as Always Bob! Man. You, my friend, are a hard worker, and these trucks turn out amazing! BTW, let the Trolls complain. X'rs love what you do! Thanks for the shout-out, my friend. It was my pleasure!
Thanks for sending those biobombs my way, I think if I dug out the mouse nests then they woos have been able to get the oder out. One of my employees spilled milk in his car and the bio bombs did nail that issue after we extracted the carpet
Bob, I really like the longer videos where you talk through the product developments. I was wondering if you'd ever tried or considered pouring the chemicals full strength into the foam cannon reservoir and then using the knob to dial in the desired ratio? Also, possibly using some sort of metering tips or system built into the foam cannon like Griot's Garage has. This is what I have started doing in my detailing business and I seem to use less product and its amazing how much time I save not mixing up foam cannons on every wash.
Thanks I appreciate it! I have used my soaps directly in the cannons and loosened the top knob all the way, it’s definitely the better way to do it, reduces refills dramatically and you can put the soap you didn’t use right back into the bottle. I love the idea of a ratio tipped cannon, griots big boss is the only one I know of, I want to play around with one and see how it cuts
I can't say for sure but I think those tank straps were chrome steel. Stainless doesn't throw sparks. If they were Stainless they would have looked like chrome with what you did.
Quad 0 sos is the best since it won't leave fine scratches. After you use it, 34:54 i used it on my painted wheels to remove a few rust spots Is the blue polish just for crome or can you it on paint to

How often should we re-apply snake oil if we wash our vehicle with stars+stripes every 1-2 weeks? (Daily driver). I do it about once a month and it seems to keep it in good condition but I’m curious what your experience has shown.
I’ve seen it last for over 6 months with Stars and Stripes used weekly, but not in every situation, some people like yourself mention doing it more often. I think the strength the soaps are applied at and also a lot of other environmental factors play a big part in its longevity, so it’s hard to say for sure from where I sit. I would benefit from your thoughts on how far you can stretch it and some other details like where your at, what factors the vehicle is exposed to regularly like sun or parking under trees, water quality, soap dilution strength, man I could go on but there’s just endless factors lol
@@ChemX I live in TX and my vehicle is almost always parked outside as well as daily driven. I apply snake oil and stars+stripes at 1:4 ratio via foam cannon. Due to our extreme temperatures and the vehicle always being in the elements, I opted to apply snake oil slightly stronger at 1:4 opposed to 1:8 to get a more durable coat. So far it has been nothing short of amazing. This vehicle is flying on the highway every day, getting beat on by sun, wind, rain, etc. Yet it stays shiny like the whole thing was waxed, and water just slides right off the car! I can say for sure it is 1000% Texas approved. The fact that I could spend $60 on a bottle of snake oil and not have to buy another bottle for 1-2years is insane value, and the performance of it rocks!
I usually cut it up about 50/50 in my pump sprayer, probably stronger than it needs to be but I love how easy it works at that strength. One of the solvents can’t be evaporated in that one unfortunately, however I’d like to come up with a new version of it that could be powder
How does the snake oil vs McGuire ceramic si02. I know yours is a rinse off formula. McGuires doesn’t state that but would be interesting to see it in a foam cannon and see results
@ they have 2 different bottles. The blue bottle is a spray on and rinse off. The clear bottle with yellow liquid says to be put on like wax with micro fiber towels to let haze then be wiped off. But just wondering if it could be used in a foam cannon and rinsed cleaned.
If they are ready to use then the foam cannon would probably dilute them down much further than intended, snake oil is really really concentrated so that it can be used through a foam cannon at 100 parts water and 1 part snake oil onto the vehicle surface.
@ correct. I think the yellow ceramic coating is the concentrated version of the blue bottle which is the spray on rinse off. That’s why I wondered how it would react to being put in a foam cannon at 100:1 ratio. But I have not read the ingredients well. I just seen it on the shelf at my local harbor freight and wondered if it react like your snake oil.
I’ve heard that a great way to polish stainless is bar keepers friend the kind does matter as long as it has Oxalic acid it cleans stainless, glass, and ceramic I’ve seen someone do it on their DeLorean the TH-camr was legitstreetcars
Heck yeah that’s alright tho I got stuff to say, I want to speak with our community here and hopefully help my customers find more success somehow through my rambling. Eventually I’ll get better at keeping it on point tho, maybe make videos specific to a topic instead of a bunch of topics surrounding a full detail on a vehicle
