hi Katrina, So nice meeting you on Saturday and thanks for taking the time to chat. Frocktails was definitely an event and very happy that I went. It was intimidating to go to something like this alone, but I just loved looking at the amazing beautiful garments people made , meeting someone who made their own shoes (I mean can you imaging being able to do this?!). Your dress was gorgeous and you had a goddess vibe happening (IMO). Like you I'm looking forward to getting back to sewing business as usual, but I actually will be wearing my skirt again next week when my husband and I go out to celebrate our birthdays (my birthday is the day after his...yep no excuse for forgetting!). Have a great week and see you next vlog.
@@JulieH1958 I loved meeting you Julie. It was such a pleasure. We must meet up again some day. If only it wasn't so loud. I'm so glad you have a great night. ❤ ❤
Hi Katrina, I loved seeing your gorgeous dress, it turned out so lovely. I of course couldn't get to Perth FT..with Mum being so sick and then with her passing away ...I have needed to step away for a time. I hope to be back sewing and chatting soon. Meanwhile, so great to always hear all about your sewing adventures.. Happy sew❤❤
Oh Deb. I'm so sorry. I did notice you were missing. I actually checked your channel incase I had missed a video. I wish I could come over to be there for you. Big hugs❤❤
Hi Katrina, loved meeting you in real life 😜. Thanks for being my island, where I could come to you if I felt stranded . Had a lovely time and will definitely be there again next year
My pleasure. I hope we get to meet up again. I appreciated having you there as my support too. We must meet up before hand next year. I loved your dress too❤❤
Hi Katrina, it was lovely catching up with you on Saturday, you’re right it was noisy. I loved your dress and the fabric is beautiful, you did a great job. Have a great sewing week, Deb
You looked so lovely Katrina and it was so nice to finally meet you! I'm glad you had fun. It was very noisy and a bit overwhelming wasn't it?! I never saw you again after seeing you when you arrived - so busy! Hopefully we'll have a chance to catch up again soon. Enjoy the new projects now that Frocktails is over!
Kristen you looked amazing and meeting all your followers was amazing I think I will have to put it on my wish list,it would be great if some Queensland ladies who have been to Melbourne frocktails know the run down would consider putting on a Brisbane frocktails as I have to come from Cairns but would definitely go did you meet any Queenslanders you think I can contact would be very appreciative if you pass # handles ….Robyn North Queensland
There is a Brisbane Frocktails. If you check out the hashtag on Instagram it comes up and you can see all the ladies who attend. You can message them and get some information off them. Monica Maitri is a good friend of Birdysewobsessed. You could always message her. I have chatted with her a few times and she's lovely. Also try searching @Brisbane Frocktails on Instagram. I hope that helps. I hope you get to go . It's so worth it ❤❤
@@create_something_pretty Thank you Katrina I will check it out ….sorry for calling you Kristen I was having a brain snap as i watch you all the time and comment xxx
Hi Katrina. This is nothing about Frocktails (although I am jealous I can't go). But looking st your lovely gardens at the end of the video, I remember you saying you said you started some of your roses from cuttings. How did you get them to root, and did you use softwood or hardwood cuttings?
Hi. I love gardening questions. Hardwood cuttings, take quite a few and expect them to not all take. I don't use rooting power but you can, place them in the pot or ground with quite a few nodes under the soil and keep them moist. Let me know if this helps. I can do a video on it if you'd like. I love this question. Thanks for watching ❤❤
@sew_So_beautiful I can tack it on to the end of a video for you. I would do it more late summer/ Autumn. I just read the cuttings I take are semi hardwood. So not the really hardened wood but not the new wood either. It may depend on your climate too.
@create_something_pretty I think it's likely the same here. I wonder if I just don't stick them in the ground deep enough. It will be good to actually see it being done. Then I'll know.
You looked very glam - so delighted you enjoyed the evening. Thank you for sharing xxx
Thank you. That's exactly what I was going for 😊❤❤
What a fabulous night. Your dress is lovely.
Thank you ❤
Thank you Katrina I look forward to seeing your blog you are a beautiful person
