Yes, I have fair colored skin and medium red blond hair and hazel colored eyes. I wear bright colors like hot pink, purple shades, bright shades of blue that enhance my skin color. Colors that are too light tend to wash me out like light pink, yellow blue, etc. and I don't wear them. I know what colors are best for me simply because of the way the look!

Anyone in doubt should have their colors done. Years ago Color Me Beautiful made a huge difference in my life. As a true Winter, I stick to my color swatch samples & simplify wardrobe/accessories. Not a fan of pastels or shrieking color on mature women. No need to be dull, contrast is your friend.

Nobody talks about the color of one's hair. It's important to coordinate with color of outfit. Blonde shades or gray hair needs to be complimented with the colors we wear. A scarf or accessory worn near the face neutralizes harsh looking black, raw white, greens, yellows and neons.

While camel looks beautiful on olive and dark complected women, it washes out older, fair-skinned women, and often turns them yellow! Run away! Run away! The AI narrator says it has tested colors that make it look tired or older than it is. (Let me guess: 3 years? 5 years?) Humans shouldn't be taking fashion advice from robots, any more than they should take breathing lessons from fish.

My very favorite color is navy blue. It can be complimented by numerous partners like white, pink, baby blue, red, clay, lime green, list goes on, but my favorite mix (and to me the classiest is navy and winter-green). I am a winter
with silver hair. Easiest way to find out what colors suit is to drape with silver lame then gold lame. The wrong one
will create dark circles under eyes. Silver is my best choice.

Your skin tone changes as you age. It’s worth having your Colors re done once you turn 60. Mine changed from harsh winter when I was young to soft winter mixed with neutrals. Red is now burgundy, and powder pink. I can still wear black, but must team with something soft.

Ross, Dress for Less, Wal-Mart, it can be virtually anywhere, shop with intention.
      1. What do I already own that compliments the item?
      2. Look for a clean, crisp, classic statement piece that may be worn casually as well as (semi)formally?
      3. Price...never feel that you have to spend $$$$ to look fabulous.
      -color
      -pattern
      -texture
      -shine
Lastly, neutrals and toal looks will NEVER have you looking in your closet, saying, "I haven't a thing to wear".
Buying quality is not expensive, it's intentional, creative and thoughtful.

Terra cotta and camel look hideous on my fresh blond complexion. Horrible. Navy blue is the older woman’s flagship. It makes my skin look grey. Only domestic cleaners wear it in France. AVOID. Lavender is the kiss of death to mature women, it makes all your wrinkles stand out and is the traditional widow’s colour.
We all look best in colours that suit our skin colours and they are NOT age related. “Mature Skin”, which this bangs on about, is a myth. We keep our skin colour despite age. Good taste in colour is not age related. Get out of the ageism rut. (We’re fed up of being told not to wear day-go colours - as if we EVER would have done!).

There are consultants that do this, maybe makeup people. Ask around your area. Many years ago there was a makeup company that operated like Tupperwear parties. They did them I had mine done. I was given a swatch of coloured fabrics in a little folder, to show which colours were for me. I still have it. After a while I learnt and didn't need to use the swatch . It was a good thing to do. Deep down you sort of know yourself, but having a consultant show you reinforces what you already thought, so then you are definite about knowing. I don't know where you are, I am in Australia, but I am sure there will be consultants somewhere near you. It was definitely good having that lesson. 😊

Me again. Having said all that, I just would add that this video was not good information. Rather vague and misleading.

I disagree with jewel tones. I tone it down deep navy, burgundy red and and camel rather than yellow. I’m 71 with silver hair cut as sot Bob. I did away with the fringe.

I’m surprised that neon, lime green and bad yellow were shown. Not good on most people.

I think when we get old. We are not sppose to wear white or mute colors . It makes dirty easier and looks pale, is it true? I don't wear white , it is not my age. I just don't like it, it reminds my school uniform.

all the images of women are older white women. where are the range of skin tones? This makes a difference. I do love jewel tones period. Pastels are not my cup of tea.
