Johnny Carson was the launch pad for so many stars over the years. He was truly a national treasure. Late night has never been the same since he left us.
Would love to see the episode with Bob Hope and Robin Williams.

1982 was a billion times better than today. Especially with no social justice warlords dominating politics with their pathetic activism permeating every aspect of American life. When I take my time machine back to 1982, I'm having it crushed and melted then and there... you can keep your horrific 21st century!

This kid is a natural entertainer. As you could see he likes to perform and does it very well. He is already 45 years old to this date.
Seeing this is awesome! Joey has such natural talent to entertain and you can tell loves doing it! His voice was great and his stage presence was unmistakable. Carson did a great job of interviewing him!!!!! I was in stitches the whole time!

I just finished listening to the new Brotherly Love podcast with the Lawrence brothers. Joey talked about his time on Johnny Carson and I just had to watch it. It did not disappoint!

The Lawrence brothers have a podcast now and he talked about it and how he got his first commercial. He had a crazy story about how that and how it lead to him being cast in 50 commercials in one year. It’s actually how I got to this video lol

Look at his pretty hair! Joey was a good little singer staying on-key and even had vibrato. I don't know if he can still sing or not. So adorable and funny. I like how the cameraman instantly zoomed in on Carson's face when Joey made the vomiting comment. Ha Ha.

The cameraman always did a phenomenal job of instantly going righ where the interest was -- he never go the accolades he deserved, publicly at least!
He saw Carson when he was up late vomiting 😂 what a riot! Looked this up after listening to Joey talk about it on his new podcast "Brotherly Love". He said he auditioned by tap dancing on top of Carson's desk😊
I hadn't seen Joey perform this young before but i'd heard him mention it in interviews about how old he was when he started. Joey is/was talented he's going strong.

Excellent. Great songs choices from that era. Joey is 47 years old now in 2023. I did not know that he could sing and tap dance and as well as that. Priceless at just 5 years old. He should have stared in musicals along with his television shows and movies. Him and his two famous brothers have a podcast now called “Brotherly Love” after the show that they started in and it’s really worth watching on TH-cam.

Johnny was great at catching something and going with it like the "when I was up vomiting" 😂answer when asked if he'd seen the show before. Joey Lawrence should have been a bigger star based on this interview and the cute little numbers he did. I really miss Johnny, I was a kid watching him in the late 70s and 80s.
He was way, way beyond his age for sure, I sure miss the Johnny Carson late night show!
