I just finished watching your instructional video on Mee Ka-thang so i ended here cuz i love cat fish. Anyways..i started busting up laughing again. A whole 2 minutes of silence as you sample your mom's great recipe but what got me more laughing was the fact that you started out using the spoon then ended up using your hands. I do that too when i'm enjoying eating. It's any which way goes as long as it gets to the mouth!!!!
I was wondering if ming knows how to make tirk ja luk kaa saang. it's this dipping paste made with kaa saang (this very sour white fruit thingy lol). I would love to learn how to make that. Unfortunately my mom is no longer with us and I never learned it but i do remember eating it.

I've had my jar of krueng in the refrigerator for the past 3 months because I put too much salt. Do you know how to make it better or is it suppose to be frozen or refridgarated ?? I made this today and they are all gone! I make my Kreung and freeze in ice cube trays then put pieces in freezer bag so I always have some available. It would be helpful to have a rough guide of how many tablespoons kreung to 1lb fish. I used 3 tbl to 2 pieces catfish fillet.

If salmon is the fish you prefer. I'd say go for it. We also made it with tilapia and it came out great.

The one with Kreung didn't have any sugar added. If you want it to be sweet you can add sugar. The 2nd version had sugar in it.

I am using a Braun food processor and it handles the fish flesh pretty good.
