Something which has been brushed to the side in preference to the more "popular" artists such as Segovia. Not to put A.Segovia down in any way, but, he was absolute "Mainstream", while someone like Llobet was perhaps too "Artistic". The technique aside, the guitarist Lorenzo Micheli is quite phenomenal, but the musical style reminds me of Paganini's approach, which isn't too shabby either! Thank you for this jewel of musical history. Those of us who study and love our instrument, appreciate greatly when we are reminded of those who came before us and our rich musical heritage..
Actually, it's Lorenzo Micheli. Which rhymes with Marenzo Tickaily. (I recognized the playing, which is definitely NOT anything like Segovia's approach interpretively, and, of course, the fact that it has Micheli's name listed as the artist doesn't hurt.)
THE BEST Guitar player in history!!! Better then Segovia, Barrios, Williams, ect. Fantastic fealing, fantastic technics. And his position of right leg is very easy, not like other players.:) I like it...
Segovia never even recorded this piece; very few of the art music performers of the Segovia and post-Segovia era play music like this as it was considered too "flashy". Also, the recording quality is far too good for this to be a young Segovia
@@LeLutindEcouvesbwv1080 You mean the arranger is Llobet, true enough. The performer here, however cannot be Llobet: it is too clear a recording for Llobet who died in 1938.
So this is Lorenzo's performance? It's too clean to be Llobet, the poor guy lived so long ago he was prolly recorded on wax paper! At least that's about what the ones' I've heard sound like. I hope I can find Llobet playing this even though.
I heard that Llobet was a very modest man and did not record that many of his own compositions and arrangements th-cam.com/video/XIaSnYs0KkI/w-d-xo.html
Why are there so many people saying this is not Segovia? First, it is obvious it's not him - at least to my ears. second, it is not said anywhere it's supposed to be Andrés playing, and - of course - not Llobet neither, by the way...
Ears, eyes or nose, this absolutely does not sound or look or smell like Andrés Segovia! He does not play in this manner! I am not saying the performer is not good, simply he/she is not Segovia!
@@iksralquyuud Actually, Segovia is not very good by today's standards, I've heard young conservatory students play better than Segovia, both technically and interpretation-wise...
Maybe I can Help you. Miquel Llobet is a excellent player from Catalonia. He vas the best pupil of A.Segovia and F.Tarrega de great masters of this instrument...

right hand.:)
he was influenced by the great tarrega
We can agree that Llobet was fantastic but this does not sound like a Llobet recording.

Lorenzo Micheli plays Miguel Llobet HA! I don't know if anyone cares, but look what I found in the playlist! Make a comparison!
Wonderful!!! Have you already uploaded Manuel Ponce's Variations sur "Folia de Espana" et Fugue?
Technically, this piece is a fucking nightmare ...
EXCELENTE. Un maestro....
This is not definitely not Segovia
Segovia was Llobet's pupil, not the other way around -.-
Do you have more music from Miguel Llobet
Genio!!
Play by Lorenzo Micheli
finally i found it!!!! woot i love this

@@iksralquyuud Never said Llobet was the performer but I said this is Llobet on the picture.

Non è Llobet ma è un contemporaneo che lo riproduce in una moderna registrazione, comunque bravo come falsario.

It's Lorenzo Micheli playing. A Naxos record.
@@LeLutindEcouvesbwv1080 Yes, it is at the video description. Would be enough to read it. Don't know where the people brought Segovia from in here...
Lorenzo Micheli CD Naxos
You need to have your ears seriously flushed, drained and cleaned if thats who they are telling you who this is.
nice job

Use your ears, my friend. You really don't know who's playing? It rhymes with Mondrés Tegovia.

Wrong. Llobet was a student of Tarrega but not of Segovia. Actually, Llobet influenced Segovia so you could say that Segovia learned from him.
Maestro Llobet was never student of Segovia he was student of Tarrega
В музыкальный литературе написано Льобет учился у Тарреги а вот Сеговия учился у Льобета. Россия г.Саратов на Волге.
