Faze haven't been a threat since Karrigan imo. He was so underrated as a part of that team and it saddens me that people didn't see what he actually brought to the lineup in terms of chemistry and bringing out the best in players. Went from a team where I genuinely wanted to see every game they played to "Oh well" and it's good to see other teams shitting on them like this, maybe they'll actually change something instead of trying to find a new star player.
agreed, i miss karrigan days, i like seeing Niko and Cold bla bla but i feel that this team is not gonna achieve a deep run in majors or really big tournaments because they dont have the IGL player
True because karrigan knows how to play and favour his team more to win games and strat call also back when faze had him they took it for granted and didnt think of the consequences off losing him
7:00 when holding common angle always peek periodically instead of plain standing there. As your rank gets higher people prefire that spot more. You accomplish 2 things this way: 1. You fake the enemy into thinking no one is at your spot 2. You dont get prefired or popflashed as easily. Another spot where you can do this is car. Instead of crouching at the right side of car to defend short, you can go to the left corner (assuming long is clear) and let the Ts enter short so that their attention now turns to site, goose, and CT because the deeper they go into site the more angles they are exposed to. This puts pressure on them and opens them up to crossfire compared to just plain holding default angles and doing a bunch of 1v1 scenarios and letting them pick you off slowly. If you have the numbers, utilise them fully by drawing attention and setting up crossfire. So lets say you keep them busy as theyre trying to go site, your b player has more time to rotate to short, and even can walk up ct and maybe catch someone while theyre fighting you at car/long.
It also helps if players from B or mid have utility left. Lots of cat pushes can be stalled by chucking a flash up by stairs from CT or tossing a molly onto plat/ninja/site.
