Funny how none of these strats work in Silvers.... You smoke off an area? They rush it... You Molly off an area? They Rush it... You flash them? They Rush it... You throw a Decoy flash to peek ? They Rush it...
That's because it's something unexpectable. If you rush through a nade you put yourself to a disadvantage (less bisibility, staggering, damage etc... Once the enemy is aware of your "silver tactic" they can easily punish you.
Oh yeah he made good decisions but you have to remember that g2 played that 4v1 as poorly as you could possibly play it. They GAVE xyp9x 4 separate 1v1 which is absolutely unforgivable. That's the kind of mistakes that beginners make in matchmaking, it's ridiculous to see it in the pro-scene.

Personally, I think xyp9x is the best player in the game. No one outplays highest level tier 1 pros more consistently. This man will be able to play until his mid 30s with his foundation in game sense.
it's simple, xyp9x is not scared, he remains calm and understands that not being calm will stop you from thinking clearly, he takes his time to think, I was surprised at how long that dust2 1v4 clutch was, guy is really amazing

I simply like to watch a good fight with some genious moves and well thought out tactics and stuff. He was low HP and he knew if he lets the molly hit the ground, the round is lost, Sunny also knew that, thats why he threw the molly. From Sunny's perspective, there are 2 options: 1)molly ramp and hold the molly in case Xys peaks 2)molly and instantly defuse so the molly doesnt run out giving Xyp a chance to peak. Unfortunately for him, he chose to defuse.
I hate clutching, there's a reason why i almost got kicked out of my own team since i cant clutch very well but as i watched this video i understand a lot of of new possibilites that i could gain and use it to win

you missed something in the first clutch, the reason xyp9x peaked a main after the bomb was planted is because he heard the molotov flying through the air and he knew if he doesn't peak now, the molotov would kill him if he goes through it to stop the defuse later
I finally realized my mistake: It depends on your language of your communication! Imagine you got kill by a guy at Short(Dust 2) and you see him fall back but called "He's short!" which could also mean "He *is* short", which will hinder people who chose English as their main language. Instead we should've said "He *was* short" which could tell people about the person falling back to safer positions! No wonder I'm still stuck in silver...
the sad part is that you can't use this in low-mid rank MM because the people you face there are way more reckless than pros; rushing through smokes, mollys, ignoring flashes, jumping into fights randomly, etc.
That's what losing poker players say as well "I cant beat them because they're so bad". No, that has nothing to do with it.. you're just way worse than you think you are. You can use all of this, even in low silver matches. If you cant outsmart your opponent because they "play too dumb", you lack skill in the game

I think he is the best in the world, period. When you win a 1 v 1 against KennyS who is holding A site on dust2, and that's just mentioned like a side note, not even the point of the highlight, you know a player is on another level. Even Elma says it, 'he just wins the 1 v 1' like it's normal to beat these guys in 1 v 1. Regardless of position, timing, xhair placement etc. you still need to hit those shots. And he damn well does.

He can clutch often, but its not a way for a team as dominant as astralis to win all games setting Xyp9x for a clutch. Igl's are way underrated in this game, enty combos such as magisk and dupreeh are a way to win t side soully by themselves, AWPs can destroy certain choke points on their own etc. There is much more than a player, who plays support and has a good rate on clutches. Xyp9x is slightly maybe a little underrated player, but all and all he is not top 1 player (top 10 for sure (HLTV rankings only check who has best ratings)). Cs is a team based game and the best team will always have top players of their own roles.

probably because the bomb was just planted. It's very hard to waste out 40 seconds in a 1v1 with someone like xyp9x, plus styko was on low hp. In addition he heard xyp9x running out of ammo and went for the timing. I'm just a normal mm player but this is my take lol
Xyp was is a horrible position compared to sunny. Once sunny knew he was up there, he also knew xyp most likely wants to reposition to get into a better position since he's so exposed up there. This is more like a mindgaming thingy. You see xyp doing this more often. That's why he's so good at clutching. A lot of players go all the time for the off angles, or all the time for the best possible position, but xyp does both.
Love all the videos, but tbh in the last clip mousesports just played that HORRIBLY by peeking 1 by 1... when he peeked the first time 3 people shouldve just rekt him.
He's not worried about getting peeked, Xyp should still be deep in mid. He's listening, and it's easier to pinpoint sounds if you're looking towards where they're being made.
When xyp is in a 1 vs X , the other team needs to clutch.

He had like 70 hp, molotov does max 8 damage per hit so no, he wouldnt die
