Astralis are a prime example of how great team play is the most important. Man for man they aren’t the strongest team and I wouldn’t say they have any top 5 players but the way they work as a team causes them to be so great
I played this strategy yesterdy. It was crazy. It was so efficient. All it needed was one guy in matchmaking that wasnt a complete moron. I even played like a total idiot, but we still won.
Can you take a look at the BIG vs G2 game yesterday on dust2 especially? Their utility usage is insane! Cheers bro, always looking forward to your videos
A banana rush from high-skill players like pros can be devastating. If they force their way onsite before rotations can come in, they'll likely take the round.
I think its more about the importance of banana on Inferno. Basically the whole corridor is one big choke point for T-side up until the bombsite. So if CT doesnt make an effort to keep terrorist at bay in banana, the chances of winning decreases drastically. Also, if you get control of banana, you can free up players to defend bombsite A instead, since the whole setup is perfect for a skilled AWP'er. And even tho he misses a shot, he got so many options to slow down a five player B attack, retreat and wait for back up. Its more of an investment really.
Variation really is a key element in CS:GO. If you do something over and over again, expect to be expected. And then you play competetive and forget about that because your enemies still don't check this one spot you always chill at...
@@existentialangst285 They use a smoke 2 he sometimes a flash and 2 mollies, so at most they have 3 flashes and a smoke or a flash, smoke and 2 HE's. However they have banana control so the enemy now has to use their utility to take banana and with device jump spotting they know early for an A rotate.
Astralis' teamwork is what makes them the #1 team in the world. If you look at games from Na´Vi from example it's much more about individuals trying to get picks. But with Astralis every hold and take is done with more than one player, with nades and careful clearing. The synergy isn't something many teams can do, not with the same consistency and variation at least.
With the new panorama update being live and out of beta, it'd be nice to look at the "More stats..." tab in the scoreboard during demo analysis. It really goes to show a lot of the inner workings of a team. ADR, KD, Flashes, and Utility Damage. I was watching some demos and just kept my scoreboard on those stats. Its nice to see how players do with their nades and flashes. Its also cool to see, that as I was watching my own game, I saw my EF at 19, while everyone else's was 3~5 hahaha. Its going to be nice to see trends in UD and EF averaged out of players once we got more stats to compile. Sadly, the UI is still bugged for Overtime in professional games, as it resets all the "More stats..." tab to -1 scores.
Flashing counts if the enemy is viually affected. So if you only hear the sound, you are not counted as flashed. Often, you see below the round won message, that you have killed sb while flashed. You dont have to be fullflashed
that weird i feel like they play the nades too good like when people rush ot trying to get bana controll from the t spawn they use the nades we saw but they had not i dea when there s no one in banana.... but when the other does not try to controll banana they dont do the same stuff... its fishy and if you can see the only second device picked in 6:30 that was when they picked and they couldnt get any info.... that weird can someone explain?
Elmapuddy, just asking, but how many gbs would your "demos" folder be right now? Recently started doing demo analysis more often. I just noticed I reached 8gb already, but it honestly doesnt feel much yet haha.
i havnt played in ages, well i barely play.. this may sound like a dumb question, but why not throw that flash OVER the wall separating site and banana ?
If you’re referring to the wide flash they do it’s because if they were to just throw the flash straight over the wall the enemy could easily look away while the wide flash is almost impossible to counter unless you know for sure it’s coming
My gf always gets the banana control as well. She really has a solid hold at that spot and gets some nutty shots every time.

Radiaware teamwork skill over solo skill is the best
Yeah I agree except that Device is a top 5 player.
Radiaware why not? Device is a top 5 and dupreeh top 10 ez
They probably have 3 of the 10 top 10 best in the world right now, with Device being top 5 easily. Dupreeh isn't far behind either
teamwork over individual skill unless u are s1mple
how to get banana control every time?
5 players banana

It's funny becuade I was in a Faceit game a few days ago and for some reason they played 4 banana for one round and still couldn't maintain control

What they've done is watch the shit out of Astralis and copied it
oh no just watch their dust 2 game it was insane
I think for Dust 2 and inferno, Big has better team play than Astralis (although the team play on Astralis is also insane).
great name too, perfect bait :D

Banana
This is why I love Astralis. Great analysis as always.
Keep up the good work. Really enjoying these kinds of videos :)
So this vid is basically how Astralis uses a ton of utility to counter a Russian Silver strategy on inferno
A banana rush from high-skill players like pros can be devastating. If they force their way onsite before rotations can come in, they'll likely take the round.
B rush is a strat used at all levels of ce go skill really

What happens if T's play a slow rate and wait some time so the CT's can use their utilities

208Tsuna what does EF mean? Effectiveness of Flash?
Enemies Flashed. Not sure what constitutes flashing someone. UD is Utility Damage.

because of the time running out, and no info, device probably expected liquid to push, hence the peek
So mouse they never thought to Molly the banana spot so they can't peek?
I also get banana control every time i just buy a negev a flash i drop the flash and spray with the negev
The secret to banana control is to start peeling from the bottom of the banana
Can you do the same but as a T? Taking banana in different ways or retaking it

50gb I zip the games when I'm done with them and store on second HDD
Moral of the story you need team work which is almost impossible in random match making
