Just image you're a soldier in 'nam and then you hear a guy in a mask say "Dammit, out of ammo, wait is that a tank?" He then jumps out, dodges every bullet and picks up the tank just to casualy trow it at charlies

Man, that Spider-Nam story would be soo freaking awesome! Imagine in as in introduction to the story going "As the war escalates, the U.S. purposed a plan where anyone who is an Avenger, Mutant, Mythical, or a skilled vigilante is drafted in anyway like it or not."
I have a story I've been planning to write for a bit of a while about superheroes fighting the Vietcong, all of them coming from different nations and led by a South Vietnamese superhero who calls himself Captain Vietnam (After Captain America).
I would like it to be an alt universe.

Great stuff as always! Really loved the CG bit-jealous of your capabilities there! Like I told you on Twitter, I feel Volition was just aping Max Payne, but it still worked really well. And of course, Max’s story is basically Frank’s, but he’s a cop. Oh, and I think I liked the villain reveal at the end more than you-thought it was clever. That character has never really been all that special, to be honest, so I don’t mind a change in the origin story. Though it also doesn’t make sense that the Russian is in it if this is even pretending to be movie continuity.

I wished we had a sequel to the game, with Thomas Jane voicing again, because his voice work for the game was just perfect.
I always thought the Stark Tower mission was fun (they even used the same Iron Man voice actor from the first Ultimate Alliance game

I played this game so much. My PS2 controller was broken and the sticks would just occasionally bug the fuck out. I was interrogating a guy with the drill press interaction in that one chop shop mission and in the middle of telling what I interogated him for my stick bugged out and I violently jammed the drill into his face.
I was laughing so hard when that happened, it's one of those videogame memories that stick with you forever.
The fun thing about the newspaper articles is that they are developer notes that show many other mechanics they wanted to try and implement .

I believe this video game and the 2004 movie got the Punisher right in my opinion. Those are my favorite version of The Punisher and they are both play by the same actor.

I played it during my high school days, and was surprised by how good this game was. It's not until 2021, I discovered that Garth Ennis was also behind the project, so I had an "Ahaaaah..." moment. No wonder why it kicked so much ass.
I feel like Xavier’s Spider-Man personality better fits Deadpool than Spider-Man...
Hearing Moderat was a big surprise for me. Seen them live last summer, amazing.

The armory comic is very much akin to the armory books released for The Executioner/Mack Bolan series (which Punisher was very much a copy of). Pretty cool.
I would love for socially inept Spiderman to become a series lmao. It's a really fun way to learn about obscure aspects of marvel lore. Also I think you'd make a great voice actor for Spiderman in an official series.
You know the one thing that surprised me about enniss’ run on punisher was the up is down and Black is white scene where punisher sleeps with O’Brien. I mean, it was a neat little callback to the second story arc from the MAX run where she constantly drools over him but I always thought the punisher was really so faithful to his dead wife that sleeping with anyone else was never something he cared to do. I don’t hate it because it leads to a pretty brutal fight scene involving the sister of a mobster frank fought.
There was supposed to be a sequel to this game that would have Deadpool as a boss.

This is one of my fav PS2 games. Completed it a dozen times. I realised on the mission in Stark Tower when you fight the helicopter it just floats there waiting to be finished but endless amount of enemies keep coming from the corridor so you can just pick them off one at a time and stack up loads of points. I think I done that for two hours lol.

Just replayed this for the 500th time and am now rewatching this for the 500th time. Nostalgia aside, this game holds up way better than it should (almost 20 years later!) and I would pay full price for a Resident Evil-level remake.

Too bad the console versions were censored to hell, anyone looking to get this, the PC version is "uncut" but it also has a patch that adds a bunch of effects and executions locked away in the code. Either way, would love to see this get a modern facelift some day
You know I wish we had more one-off great superhero games like this it's just like that Daredevil game that was in development it could have been just like this a Hidden Gem that's perfect but not a lot of people know about it sadly though these games are far and few between

The gameplay seems like it was heavily based off of the Max Payne series. Did you ever play any of those @GodzillaMendoza? I know you at least like the music from the band H.E.A.L.T.H used in the 3rd game.
Also if you watch one of his older vids, he mentions something about "video games with great stories" and one of the examples he puts up is Fall of Max Payne! So yes, Xavier is based!

God dang it! i love meet some guilty pleasures of mine like The Punisher! this is definitely the review i needed in order to know other Punisher games besides the great Punisher arcade game by Capcom. great review man and screw you TH-cam for not only demonitizing but also for suspending my original account for no clear reason.
I hope that later along the line you'll upload a punisher cosplay video because last time you did a live action recording for the spider-verse video it ended up being apart of the scarlet-spider/ Miles Morales cosplay video. this was a great video Xavier. good job

Volition recently spoke about this game and even showed off footage for Punisher 2 that they were working on. It was gonna be open world, but ultimately was cancelled, alot of it was retooled and used in the saints row series which is why theres some similiar animations.
This game was so cool.
Also this game deserves a remastered for the PS4 and Xbox one
My father has that game when I went through his ps2 disc collection 14 years ago.
This game got me into comic books. I first played this game at my stepbrothers house. I went out and bought the 2004 movie and loved it. Then a few years down the line I saw a Punisher comic and read it. Now he's my favorite comic book character of all time and I've read a majority of his standalone stuff and a lot of his appearances as well.
